Yoseph sat on the office chair with his long legs crossed. He looked lazy and tired.
Wira stood next to him in shock and asked in disbelief, “Young master, was what you said true? Miss Luisa really said Emma was her younger sister?”
“You also realized that she was lying to me. Right?” A gloomy look flashed across Yoseph’s eyes as he mocked himself.
Wira nodded his head vigorously. “Of course, Miss Luisa is really bold. She even dares to speak such lies!”
“Luisa has chased after Archie to the extent that she has gone mad.” Yoseph simply could not use words to describe Luisa. He felt like a madman.
“Young master, do you think Miss Emma might be the daughter of the Sandford Family that was lost?” Wira asked with a serious expression.
Yoseph was deep in thought. He stood up and faced the tall buildings outside the window. He shook his head and said, “I don’t know. I don’t think it’s possible. There can’t be such a coincidence in this world. The woman I finally like is the one who is engaged to me.”
Looking at young master’s sad back, Wira was also anxious and worried.
“Did young master give up just like that? Should we test it out? What if fate is so clever?” Wira advised in a low voice.
Yoseph turned around and looked at him. His eyes lit up inch by inch. “Wira, do you think the heavens will bless me this time?”
Wira was frightened by young master’s overly bright eyes. He laughed dryly. “Maybe. . . Maybe!”
“Alright, even if Luisa lied to me, I still want to give it a try.” The fire of hope that Yoseph extinguished suddenly burned fiercely again.
“But how can I get Miss Emma’s DNA sample?” Wira asked worriedly.
Yoseph frowned and said in a low voice, “You must not hurt her. Send someone to keep an eye on her outside her office. If you can pick up her hair or something, you should be able to find it.”
After Wira heard that, he immediately facepalmed. Young master really protected Miss Emma tightly.
“Okay, I will go and find someone right away!” Wira felt that this was the funniest thing he had ever done. Send someone to pick up Miss Emma’s hair?
What kind of job was this!
On the other side, Minlan could not wait any longer. She immediately called Caroline and asked to meet her.
Caroline happily came to meet her!
The moment she stepped into the antique tea room, she became like a ball tied up and greeted Minlan who was sitting by the table with a smile.
“Mrs. Sandford, you called me over for something?” Caroline’s fawning expression could not be any more obvious.
“Take a seat!” Minlan lightly opened her mouth and dismissed the staff responsible for making tea at the side.
Caroline saw that Minlan was going to get a teapot to pour tea for her and quickly reached out her hand, “I will do it myself! I do not dare to trouble Mrs. Sandford!”
Minlan saw Caroline’s flattering look and did not beat around the bush and directly said, “Madam Quinsley, I indeed have a matter that I need you to help me with!”
“What matter? Tell me. I will definitely do what I can for you.” Caroline drank the tea and agreed with a smile.
“I want to get Emma’s DNA sample. Think of a way to send it to me!” Minlan said directly.
Caroline was stunned, “What does Mrs. Sandford want this girl’s DNA sample for?”
“You don’t need to care about that. You only need to tell me if I can do it!” Minlan did not want to say anything more to her.
“This can be done, but. . .”
“This is the lifetime membership card of a top poetry beauty club. Just treat it as a gift from me.”
Minlan took out a black membership card from her handbag and placed it on the table. She pushed it towards Caroline.
Caroline’s face immediately lit up. Poetic Beauty Club was a famous women’s paradise in the country.
“Mrs. Sandford, you are really too polite. Since you need my help, I will definitely help you. This card. . . Is too expensive. I dare not accept it!” Caroline pretended to decline.
Minlan had already seen through her thoughts and pushed the card in front of her, “Take it. Helping others do things, it is only right to get some benefits. It is just that I need you to do this matter as soon as possible. At the latest tomorrow. . . I will get the result!”
Only then did Caroline hold the card in her hand and kept nodding her head, “Mrs. Sandford, don’t worry. I will find this girl to meet tonight and will definitely give you the DNA blood sample as soon as possible.”
“Don’t hurt her. Just give me a little blood sample!” Minlan exhorted.
Caroline immediately nodded, “Yes!”
“It must be her blood sample. If you dare to lie to me. . .” Minlan was afraid that she would do something and her face sank.
Caroline originally had such an idea in her heart but when she heard Minlan’s threat, she was frightened. She was quick-witted. “I don’t dare, I definitely don’t dare. How would I dare to lie to Mrs. Sandford?”
Caroline, who took the card and left the teahouse, sat in the car and was worried.
Emma this lass was also very quick-witted. How could she get her DNA sample?
But the beauty card had already been accepted. To Caroline who loved beauty, it was indeed very tempting. She was reluctant to return the card.
Moreover, Minlan was the wife of the vice president. She did not dare to offend her status and identity.
Since she had agreed, she had to do it.
Thinking about this, Caroline immediately took out her phone.
“Hello, Aunt!” Emma’s faint voice rang.
“Emma, I still have some of your mother’s old things here. Do you want to take them back?” Caroline said.
“What is it?” Emma was indeed tempted. Although she had never seen her mother since she was young, she still had some filial piety.
“It’s nothing. It’s just that your mother has some photos and some earrings that she used to wear.”
“Then I’ll come over tonight to get them!” Emma did not have many photos of her mother. So, when she heard that there were photos, she agreed to come over.
“Okay, come to my house tonight to look for me!”
After hanging up the phone, Caroline’s face flashed with a smile that showed that her plot had succeeded.
At this moment, Emma was leaning in Archie’s arms, sleepy.
Without Luisa and Yoseph disturbing her, This holiday was not bad.
The car was on its way back to the city on the highway when Emma received a call from her aunt.
Archie lowered his head and combed the long hair beside her ear. “You’re going back to Quinsley Family tonight?”
“Yes, my mother has some old things. I want to take them back.” Emma replied softly.
“Do you need me to accompany you back?”
Emma shook her little head. “No need. I will go and get it by myself.”
“Alright. I might have to fly in the afternoon to see my grandfather’s condition. You have to be careful.” Archie also received a call from his grandfather this morning, asking him to rush over to see him.
Emma’s heart sank slightly. “Okay!”
When they reached the city, Emma went home alone. Archie rushed straight to the airport.
Pushing open the door, Emma sat on the sofa, a little tired. Looking at the empty living room, her heart sank even more.
Grandpa was looking for him. Could it be because of the matter of them breaking up again?
How heart-wrenching!
In the evening, Emma returned to the Quinsley Family in a car!
Gustav and Jaxon had a social night, but Emily came back early.
Emily did not know if it was intentional, but the moment she stepped into the living room and saw Emma, she smiled complacently.
“I heard that you and Archie have already divorced?” Emily very happily ridiculed.
Emma frowned, “Yes, you are satisfied now.”
“I have already told you that snatching other people’s happiness will bring about retribution sooner or later.” Emily’s mood had never been as good as it was now.
Emma could not be bothered with her and turned around to walk upstairs.
Emily followed behind her and went upstairs together.
“Aunt, where is my mother’s things?” Emma knocked on Caroline’s door and asked.
Caroline opened the door. “It’s in my room. Come in and get it!”
Emma looked at her suspiciously and then walked inside.
“Ouch. . .” Emma suddenly cried out in pain.
Caroline immediately had an apologetic look on her face. “Aiya, I’m sorry. I accidentally broke the cup just now. Are you alright?”
Emma immediately lifted her foot and saw that the slippers she had changed into were actually tied with a sharp piece of glass.
Caroline quickly squatted down and took the initiative to take off her shoes for her. She took off the piece of glass that was stained with blood. “Emma, I really didn’t do it on purpose. I wanted to call the maids to come and clean up. Are you alright? I’ll give you a Band-Aid. . .”
Emma would not believe that she did not do it on purpose. She endured the pain and said, “No need, hurry up and give me my mother’s things!”
Only then did Caroline give some of the photos she found and some of the old things that Dinda used to use to Emma.
Emma carried the bag and turned around to walk downstairs.
But her injured heel made it very difficult for her to walk!
Caroline picked up the stained glass piece and wrapped it up with a cloth. She thought proudly in her heart that as long as she gave this piece of glass piece stained with Emma’s blood to Mrs. Sandford, she would be able to confidently spend that beauty card.
Emma carried her mother’s belongings back home and took off her shoes. She found that there was a lot of blood on her heels.
“This is too much. You dare to frame me like this!” Emma found a medical kit. After the blood was removed, she put a band-aid on it.
She decided not to see Caroline and her daughter in the future. These two people’s hearts were really not ordinary bad.
Opening the bag, Emma saw many pictures of her mother when she was young. Although there was a shadow of Caroline in the pictures, these pictures were very precious to Emma. What made her most happy was. . . There were also a few photos of her grandmother.
“Mom, grandma, I hope that you are all well in heaven! I really miss you!” Facing the yellow old photos, Emma’s face was full of tears.
“I will live well. Don’t worry about me!” Emma muttered softly as she tightly pressed the photo against her chest. She hoped that her family would be by her side and that she would be able to obtain a trace of safety when she felt sad and uncomfortable.
