Cherry pouted and was on the verge of tears.
“Mommy is pregnant, and there is a baby in her belly. From now on, we have to protect her well. We can’t annoy or exhaust her. So, we can’t go on a vacation for the time being, because Mommy will be tired, and Daddy should take care of Mommy.”
Cherry lowered her head. Blueberry was more optimistic.
“It doesn’t matter, Cherry. We’re going to have a little brother soon. Why don’t we take him to see the little turtle next year?” BlueBlueberry comforted Cherry.
“But a year is a long time.”
“Think about it, we just started to go to the kindergarten last year, and now we have been there for a year. Time passes very quickly!”
“Then you must promise us that we will go next year.” Cherry looked at Derek.
“Okay, I promise. When the baby is born, I will take the baby with you.”
“Alright then,” Cherry reluctantly agreed.
The first family meeting was concluded satisfactorily.
Serina and Derek smiled at each other. Finally, everything was settled. As long as the children were fine, everything was fine.
A week later, Serina found that their home had undergone a lot of changes.
The bedroom was covered with a furry carpet which was very comfortable to step on. The bedding was replaced with the most comfortable cotton material. The curtains were replaced with automatic light shading curtains. Serina did not have to worry about not sleeping well during the afternoon nap or being woken up by the sunlight in the morning.
To prevent Serina from falling, the corridors, bathrooms, and washrooms were all covered with non-slip mats.
The corner of the dining table, the coffee table, and any other sharp corners were either replaced by round ones or wrapped up with cushions.
A nutritionist was hired to provide three meals a day for Serina on schedule.
Derek took charge of Cherry and BlueBlueberry, telling stories and playing games with them. He did not want to bother Serina.
All that Serina could do was rest!
At night, Derek was reading as usual. Serina came out of the bathroom and walked to the bedside.
“Stop reading. There is nothing that needs to change in our home now. It’s perfect already!”
Serina found his caution unnecessary.
She was carrying a baby, not porcelain!
“I’m reading the dos and don’ts for pregnant couples. It says that we can’t have sex in the first three months,” Derek said as he put down the book.
Derek put on a sad face. He did not expect that!
Serina said naughtily, “Yes, not only the first three months but we should also be careful in the last few months. After the baby is born, I also have to rest for at least a month. Pity for you.”
Serina approached Derek with a gloating smile. “Moreover, even if we have sex during the pregnancy, you should be more gentle.”
Derek darted a sidelong glance at her and said, “It’s just a few months. What’s the big deal?”
“Someone…” Serina took pleasure in his misfortune.
Derek was indeed a little upset. He was in his prime and had a strong desire. Moreover, they had been separated for several years. He had never touched women during that time.
After Derek reconciled with Serina, they had sex every night.

Serina lay on the bed and wrapped her arms around Derek’s waist. Her small hands rubbed back and forth. “Honey…”
Her body came close to him and her hands petted around his body. Derek was alarmed and grabbed her hands.
“Naughty girl! You did it on purpose, didn’t you?”
Serina’s eyes curved with her smile. “Yes, I did it on purpose.”
“Go to sleep!” Derek held Serina’s hand tightly, turned her around, and hugged her from behind.
He gave her no chance to make any trouble!
Serina smiled and quieted down. She did not intend to rub salt into his wounds.
Two months passed.
This day, Derek accompanied Serina to the hospital for regular examination. In the morning, Serina began to get nervous.
She kept stroking her belly.
“Baby, you have to be healthy. Otherwise, Mommy will suffer.”
She kept nagging, afraid that the child would have a health problem.
They did a blood test and B-mode ultrasound in the morning. Fortunately, they were VIPs and did not need to wait in line. However, they still had to go to various departments.
After the final exam, Derek helped Serina put on her clothes.
“Drink some water,” Derek said as he handed Serina a bottle of warm water.
Serina took it and took a sip, finding that it was warm juice!
“Why is it juice?”
“Because of the examination, you did not have breakfast this morning. You must be starving. What’s the use of drinking water? I let the servants make the juice and warm it up in the morning. It should be fine now.”
Serina was surprised that he had prepared it this morning.
She was totally unaware.
“I’ll show you some magic.” Derek reached into his pocket and winked at Serina. “Give me your hand.”
Serina did as he said. Derek patted Serina’s hand. When she looked again, an egg appeared in her palm.
It was still warm!
“It’s warm!”
“I’ve been keeping it in my pocket all this time. I’ll peel it for you.”
Derek took out a sterilized tissue from Serina’s pocket and wiped his hands clean. Then he began to peel the egg.
Then he watched Serina eat an egg in two bites.
Serina smiled with satisfaction. “Honey, have you kept it in your pocket all this morning?”
“Yes.”
“What kind of magic this is?” Serina laughed loudly.
Derek gently patted her head.
“You are a CEO who wants to be a magician!”
Derek looked at her and smiled. Carrying a baby was hard. He did not mind being made fun of as long as she was happy.
When the results came out, they sat opposite Dr. Siegel.
Both of them were very nervous.
Dr. Siegel flipped through the test reports and then nodded, “Mr. and Mrs. Lambert, the child is healthy and develops well.”
They heaved a sigh of relief.
“However, you still have to do the examination regularly. We can’t guarantee that there won’t be any problem in the future. Mrs. Lambert, you have experience.”
“Yes, I understand.” Serina nodded.
Dr. Siegel looked at the young couple and said, “You should also keep it in your mind that no sex in this period.”
“Isn’t it said that we can have sex after the first three months?” Derek asked blatantly.
