“I don’t believe it. How could you not touch her unless you knew she isn’t me?” At the mention of this, Serina became even angrier, “You actually don’t even know if it’s me!”
Derek was startled. She had been crying just now, but she had regained her composure again.
“You’ve been with me for so long. You should know that she isn’t me at the first sight,” Serina said.
“I was suspicious when I saw her, but you know that my people watched her leave. She looks like you. How could I know that she was not you at the first sight?”
“Are you stupid? We’re exactly alike and she can imitate me. But don’t you know that I have a few scars and several moles? Besides, I was hit by a bullet. There is a scar left by a bullet on my body. You idiot!”
Serina was simmering with rage.
“I couldn’t take off her clothes, right?” Derek felt that he was wronged.
He knew about those signs, but how could he look at her body when he was not sure if she was Serina?
“You.” Serina was speechless.
“If I take off her clothes and check her body, you’ll blame me for looking at her body. You will be jealous for the rest of your life.”
Derek stretched out his finger and pushed Serina.
Serina stuck out her tongue and leaned on Derek’s shoulder. “How did you know that she was not me?”
“When you said that to me, I was wondering if she wanted to replace you. I remember that you said that I might not be able to know who I’m sleeping with in the future. However, I didn’t see any sign of this at that time, so I was always on guard.”
Serina was startled.
“I just didn’t expect her to be so smart. She even fooled me. I thought she really left. She asked for so much because she wanted me to believe that she has planned for the rest of her life and she would not come back again.”
“When did you start to suspect her?”
“I knew that she wasn’t you at the first sight. Serina, I told you that I don’t need to check anything and I can tell if it’s you based on my feelings. But you are really alike. Her tone, demeanor, and expression are almost the same as yours. I had been suspicious, but I was not sure.”
“You didn’t touch her at nights?” Serina pursed her lips with a smile. Her man was so smart.
Derek nodded. “Since you suspected it a long time ago, why didn’t you question her, or arrest her?” Serina asked.
“Are you stupid? If I question her or catch her, do you know the consequence? I don’t know where she hid you. What if she takes the risk and kills you? Serina, that’s a risk I can never take.”
Derek did not want to take risks with her life.
Serina stuck out her tongue and said, “Okay, but she is too good at pretending. Ernest believed her. Ernest has been my friend for so long, but he didn’t know that she wasn’t me.”
“Ernest doubted her for a long time. If they didn’t strike Ernest, I think I couldn’t be sure that she wasn’t you.”
“What? They hit Ernest? Where is Ernest? Is he injured?” Serina immediately became nervous.
“I found him in time. He was stabbed and I secretly sent him to the hospital. He is fine now.”
“I must go to see him.” Serina lifted the quilt and was about to get out of bed.
“You’re injured. You need to have a good rest. Look at your feet. Do you think you can get out of bed?” Derek immediately grabbed her.
Serina realized that her feet had been put into a cast.
“It will take you many days to recover. Just stay here for a few days.” Derek tucked her in the quilt again.
“Is he really fine?”
“Of course, a beauty is taking care of him.”
“A beauty? You hire a beautiful nanny for him?” Serina was puzzled.
“It’s Jessica. You write novels. How could you not know their relationship? I know that they’re not simply friends.”
Derek gently patted Serina on the head.
“You mean Jessica and Ernest? What?” Serina looked at Derek in shock.
“Since she knew that Ernest was injured, she has been taking care of him. I wanted to visit him, but when I saw that she keeps close to Ernest, I didn’t want to disturb them.”
“I didn’t know that they were dating. How dare he not tell me? I’ll deal with him.”
“What? You’re jealous?” Derek asked as he lifted Serina’s face.
“No!”
“You’re jealous.” Derek stared at Serina.
“I am not! I am not jealous! Only you can make me jealous. You didn’t sleep with Marco, but you were lying in the same bed. Did you kiss her?”
“Well.” Derek’s face changed color slightly.
“I know you kissed her.”
“I kissed her because I can’t let her notice that.”
“You kissed her lips? How many times have you kissed her? Tell me the truth!”
Derek was rendered speechless.

In the police station.
Brodie was handcuffed and was kept in shackles. The two police officers in front of her had serious looks on their faces.
“Brodie, you’ve been silent for more than half an hour. That’s no point. Anyway, you can’t escape even with wings. If you tell us something useful, your sentence might be mitigated.”
Brodie smiled. “I have told you what I should say. I have told you the whole story. What else do you want me to say?”
“Stop talking nonsense! We want to know where Marco is. Don’t play dumb!” the police officer slapped the table and shouted.
“I don’t know,” Brodie said.

“She can go to many places with a helicopter. How would I know where she will go?” Brodie said with a scornful look.
“The helicopter has been found, but we couldn’t find her near the helicopter. You know Marco well. Do you think where she will hide or who she will go to for help?”
Brodie remained silent.
“Brodie Kemp, are you expecting her to save you? Don’t forget that she betrayed you”
Brodie’s face darkened. How could she forget that?
“Mr. Darion, there you are,” a voice came from outside the door.
