Chapter 315 To Ensure Her Safety

Derek tried to suppress his anger when he heard the voice on the phone.
Brodie was indeed very smart. Derek originally wanted to use Marco to control Brodie, but now he could only do what Brodie said.
Standing next to Derek was the police chief. A police officer came over and whispered in his ear. After a while, the police officer nodded and approached Derek.
“Mr. Darion, the snipers are in place, but…”
“But what?” Derek said eagerly.
“The suspect is indeed a veteran. He is too familiar with our process and has closed the windows and curtains. He will not approach the place where the sniper can aim. Even if he occasionally steps in, he will take your wife in front of him, so it is difficult for the snipers to shoot him.”
The chief officer sighed.
Having expected it, Derek said, “Then let’s do as he says first. We need to ensure my wife’s safety.”
“Yes, sir.”
Marco was brought over in handcuffs.
“Derek, hope that I can leave safely. Otherwise, with Brodie’s temper, he will definitely not let Serina go.”
Derek gave her a sideways glance and didn’t want to talk to her.
At this time, Derek’s phone rang again. It was still Brodie.
“Remove Mar’s handcuffs.”
Derek did not say anything and had to do what was told. A police officer removed Marco’s handcuffs and handed two black suitcases to her. Then, he escorted Marco to the helicopter.
When all of this was done, Derek called Brodie, “It’s done. Can you release her now?”
Brodie blocked Serina in front of him and looked out through the window.
“OK, but you have to let all the police retreat!”
“Brodie, you ask for too much. I am about to lose my patience! Shoot her if you have the guts. I will not give you anything!” Derek gritted his teeth and said fiercely.
Brodie began to be nervous. Serina was his only chip, but also the only chip he could not lose.
Once he fired Serina, neither he nor Marco would be able to escape.
“Alright, then get all the snipers away. I am from the Special Force. You have sent a total of three snipers over. You don’t want me to point out where they are, do you? Get them away!”
Derek gave the chief officer a look, and the latter immediately asked the snipers to go away.
They couldn’t hide from Brodie, who was too familiar with their layout. Brodie could basically judge the positions of each sniper, so it was impossible to fool him.
The chief officer walked over and said, “Mr. Darion, all the snipers away. Shall we let Brodie get away?”
“I want my wife to be unharmed,” Derek said coldly. He didn’t care if the police could catch the criminal. He only hoped that Serina could be safe and sound.
“Sir, just act according to the actual situation. But you must ensure my wife’s safety!” said Derek.
“All right.”
Derek called Brodie again, “The snipers retreated. You can check it yourself. Come out now.”
Brodie checked all the locations. The snipers had indeed retreated.
Ten minutes later, the chief police ordered all the police officers to retreat out of the periphery of the community.
About ten minutes later, Brodie finally appeared in Derek’s sight. He blocked Serina’s mouth and moved forward step by step.
He kept Serina in front of him as his shield, and he shook her from time to time. In this way, the snipers wouldn’t dare to shoot him no matter how accurate their shots were.
Derek finally saw Serina. When he saw the wounded Serina, his heart ached.
“Serina, don’t be afraid, I am here,” Derek called out to her and took a step forward.
Brodie immediately scolded, “Don’t come over! Stay where you are and don’t move!”
Derek immediately stopped.
Brodie dragged Serina towards the helicopter. He was very anxious, but also very cautious, not giving the police any chance to shoot them.
“Let Serina go. The police have already retreated outside. Without my instructions, they will not rush up,” Derek advised.
“I’m not a fool. Once I hand Serina over to you, the police will definitely swarm up. You know what, Derek? I will definitely shoot Serina as long as I have more time.”
Brodie was threatening them, but they couldn’t do anything to him.
All he wanted was to keep Serina safe.
“Brodie! You’d better run far away. Otherwise, I won’t let you go if I catch you.” Derek was very calm.
“Let’s see if you have the ability to catch me,” Brodie snorted.
Derek’s gaze moved along with Brodie. Then Derek saw Serina, who had been exhausted.
What was more, she was injured, so Serina was almost dragged away by Brodie.
Brodie finally moved beneath the helicopter. Marco was already sitting in the co-pilot seat.
“Are you alright, Mar?”
Marco shook her head. “I’m fine. Don’t waste time. Let’s go,” she said.
Brodie pushed Serina forward, and Serina fell. Then he jumped into the helicopter and closed the door of the cockpit.
Ordinary guns would not be able to penetrate the glass of a helicopter. Brodie had been professionally trained, so he knew how to drive a plane.
Just as he was about to drive the helicopter away, a person suddenly appeared from the cabin behind him and pointed the gun at Brodie’s head.
“Surrender!”
Marco looked at the person in horror. She had not even sensed a person hiding in the helicopter.
Derek immediately ran to Serina and picked her up. He could not care about what was happening now.
Brodie was stunned. There were only two people in the back row of the helicopter. Since the other party was not discovered, there should be one person.
Brodie slowly raised his hand.
“Give me the gun,” said the person.
Just as the police were about to take Brodie’s gun away, Brodie suddenly counterattacked the police.
And Brodie and the police fought.
