“How is that possible?” Serina was in disbelief.
“We went out for only a few minutes, so I asked him if he was still my uncle. He denied it, and then he told me Cherry wanted him to go back early. Then he left.”
Ernest reported in detail.
“Well, let’s go out for dinner.” Serina patted Ernest on the shoulder.
They found a restaurant, a slightly hidden one, and asked for a private room.
Ernest knew that Serina must not have eaten well in the hospital these days. He ordered a full table of dishes for her, all of her likes.

“I felt that,” Ernest replied.
“I already told him that we wouldn’t be together in the future, but he left and came back shamelessly. He even lives in the hospital!”
Serina really couldn’t figure it out. This didn’t conform to Derek’s character.
“So, you deliberately want to be intimate with me to make him jealous?” Ernest knew Serina too well.
“I didn’t want him to be jealous. I wanted to drive him away. I thought he was shamelessly in the hospital and wanted to make up with me. But I was so close to you and he didn’t even ask. Don’t you think it’s weird?”
Ernest thinks carefully, “It is quite strange, but do you really not intend to be with him? I think it is stranger.”
Serina immediately straightened her back and slapped the table, “I really don’t intend to be with him! There is a good saying, if a man doesn’t appear at the critical moment, he should never appear!”

Ernest grinned and shook his head and continued, “Life is full of tricks and we can’t avoid all of them.”
Serina curled her lips, “Anyway, I have made my decision.”
“Well, although I doubt how impulsive you are to make this decision, as your best friend, I still unconditionally support your decision.”
Serina immediately laughed out, “That’s more like it.”
However, the smile on her face disappeared in an instant, “However, what do you think Derek is trying to do? He doesn’t react at all.”
“Maybe you are overthinking. He doesn’t want to be with you at all. He just doesn’t want to part with his two precious daughters.”
“But that doesn’t make sense. If he didn’t want to be with you, he wouldn’t have racked his brains to design the bridge to reunite with you. It doesn’t make sense to ask you to be the advertising spokesperson.”
“I can’t figure it out, too.” Serina supported her chin with both hands.
Ernest sighed.
Serina suddenly looked at Ernest, “No matter what he means, you have to help me now. Pretend that we’re a couple. Let’s be more intimate. Don’t screw my plan.”
“Fine, the best friends should be supportive of each other.”
After dinner, Serina and Ernest parted ways, and Serina returned to the hospital.
Before she entered the room, Serina took out the cosmetics in her bag to make up her face, making herself look radiant with happiness.
She hummed as she entered the ward. As soon as she entered, Serina found Cherry and Blueberry taking a nap and immediately stopped humming.
Derek sat at the side, focusing on his phone.

Derek smiled. He looked at his precious daughter and turned to ask Serina, “Why did you make Cherry and Blueberry call Ernest godfather?”
Instead of answering her question, he changed the topic.
“Can’t I, do it?” Serina asked, looking at Derek.
“They aren’t only your children, but also mine. Should you ask me about this decision?”
“What right do you ask this? Derek, during the time you were away, do you know how much Ernie has devoted for me and the child?”
Serina suddenly became serious, “When I was pregnant, he accompanied me. When I gave birth, it was also him who guarded outside the delivery room. He was a part of every process of my daughters’ growth. From how they learned to walk and went to kindergarten.”
Serina took a deep breath, “One time, Cherry and Blueberry suddenly had a high fever in the middle of the night. During those days, I also had a cold. My low fever did not subside, and I was very tired. I was so anxious that I cried. It was Ernie who ran back from the filming set and sent the three of us to the hospital.”
