At the hospital.
Outside the ICU.
It had been more than ten hours since Chelsea entered the ICU. Ernest had been accompanying Serina. In the evening, he found a hotel near the hospital to stay. In the morning, he rushed over again.
Just as he walked near ICU, a doctor recognized Serina.
“Are you Chelsea’s mother?”
“Yes! I am! Doctor, how is my daughter?” Serina didn’t sleep for a night. Ernest continued to persuade her to eat something. Her eyes were sunken and dark.
She had aged ten years in a single night.
“Congratulations, Chelsea is fine. The doctor will give her a comprehensive examination today. If there are no problems, she can be transferred to the ordinary ward.”
At that moment, Serina’s heart was like a roller coaster, rushing to the top and suddenly landing safely.
“Are you serious?”
“Yes, it’s the visiting time now. You can stay quiet and go in to see her.”
“Alright!”
Under the guidance of the nurse, Serina carried Bella into ICU, and Ernest followed.
Some instruments made rhythmic sounds in ICU. All kinds of messy instruments flashed red or green lights.
Little Chelsea was on the huge bed. She blinked and looked at the ceiling.
“Chelsea,” Serina walked over and called.
Chelsea looked towards Serina. Her little face was pale and her lips were bloodless, but her eyes were bright.
“Mommy, where are we?” Chelsea asked in a hoarse voice.
“We are in hospital, baby. You are sick.”
“Do I need an injection? Mommy, I don’t want it.” Chelsea didn’t know what had happened to her, and she didn’t even know how she had struggled to live.
“You don’t deed to have an injection. Chelsea, we can go home soon.”
“Chelsea, you have to be strong. You can’t be naughty. You have to listen to the doctor and nurse,” Bella whispered.
Chelsea nodded.
The doctor gave Chelsea a comprehensive examination. All her indicators had become normal. In the morning, Chelsea was transferred to the ordinary ward.
The doctor told Serina that Chelsea needed to be hospitalized for a while. It was not easy for a child to survive. She needs time to recover. Fortunately, she is fine now.
Serina let out a long breath, feeling she had overcome a calamity.
Ernest was finally at ease.
The nurse checked Chelsea. Chelsea was asleep. The nurse put a drip on her.
What made everyone not know whether to laugh or cry was that Chelsea did not wake up and move during the infusion.
Serina held her forehead and shook her head, “My baby daughter is like me, a big eater and a good sleeper.”
“Don’t blame Chelsea when she recovers, blame yourself. You are born with greed,” Ernest poked Serina’s head.
The nurse looked at them and smiled, “Ms. Serina, your husband is sweet. He has been accompanying you here all this time. I have seen many fathers in the children’s hospital. They didn’t know anything and didn’t care about anything. They are neglecting fathers.”
The nurse was a little older. She probably didn’t watch TV and paid no attention to stars. She didn’t recognize Ernest.
Serina immediately prepared to explain. Ernest quickly waved his hand, “Of course, I am a good husband.”
“Sir, don’t be arrogant!”
“I won’t.”
They smiled. The nurse reminded them a few more times and left.
Serina elbowed Ernest, “Why don’t you explain? You are a star. What if it is spread out?”
“It’s nothing. I’ve been a father for Chelsea and Bella a few times. When we get out, everyone thinks I’m the father. I don’t care. Why do you mind?”
Serina glanced at Ernest, “Have you wronged for being their father? Not everyone can give births to twins.”
“Well, I can’t win you over.”
“Alright, you should go back to filming. Everything is fine here.”
Serina urged.
“I’ll come back to see you later,” Ernest turned to Bella, “Bella, be obedient. Look after your mother. Don’t let her be silly. If she is lost, we can’t find her.”
“Nonsense,” Serina patted Ernest’s back.
Bella covered her mouth and smiled.
“I’ll go now,” Ernie waved his hand and made a calling gesture, “Call me if you need anything.”
After Ernest left, Serina felt relieved. Thanks to Ernest, otherwise she did not know how she could come over these years.
Serina looked at Bella and asked, “Bella, are you hungry?”
“Mommy, I’m not hungry,” Bella shook her head.
“Bella, good girl.”
“Mommy, I will be a good sister. I will watch over you and Chelsea. I won’t let her eat anything wrong.”
Serina smiled happily and held Bella in her arms. “I believe in you.”
In the United States.
The listing of the Dark Empire was successful. That night, Derek’s speech left a deep impression on many people.
The next morning, just as Derek was about to call Serina, Hayden hemmed and hawed beside Derek.
“If you have something to say, just say it. Don’t stutter,” Derek seemed to sense something was wrong.
Hayden took a deep breath and bit his lips. He didn’t dare to speak.
“If you don’t want to talk, then go out!” Derek picked up his phone. Hayden suddenly held Derek’s hand, “Mr. Darion…”
“Don’t stop me from calling!”
“Mr. Darion, there’s something I forgot to tell you. Actually…” Hayden lowered his head, feeling awkward.
“What’s wrong?”
“Something happened to Mrs. Darion, but she’s fine now!”
“What happened? What do you mean that something happened and everything is fine now? Tell me the truth! What exactly happened?”
“Yesterday, I have received the call and it said that they found Mrs. Darion. She stayed with the children in ICU. You were about to go on stage, and I was worried that you would be distracted. So I didn’t say anything.”
“What did you say? ICU? Didn’t you say there was nothing serious?”
Derek roared at Hayden.
