Derek was no longer so untouchable. A smile appeared on his thin face.
Knowing that he had a twin daughter, he was pleasantly surprised.
Serina looked at Derek and held his face. “Derek, are you back?”
She felt it was her illusory and Derek in front of her was not real.
“I’m back, Serina. And I won’t leave anymore,” Derek said as he held Serina’s waist.
“You promise?” Serina leaned against Derek’s chest and said.
“I promise.”
Serina smiled. She knew her years of waiting for him was not a waste.
“Take me to see my baby girls.”
Serina was jealous, “You only care about your daughters! You don’t even talk to me yet.”
If that was the case, Serina would not let Derek know about the twins.
“I can see them later. I have time. Let me be with you now.” Derek hugged Serina tightly and looked at her lovingly.
Serina smiled shyly. “No, you should see the twins first. Bella and Chelsea haven’t seen you since they were born. Now you are finally back, they want to see you. They are waiting for their Daddy.”
Derek was amused, “So what should I do now. See them or not?”
Serina was hesitated.
“They are first.” Serina sighed and they went to the children’s room together.
In the children’s room, Bella and Chelsea were discussing enthusiastically.
“Bella, do you think he is our daddy?” Chelsea tilted her head.
Bella shook her head, “I don’t know. It seems to be.”
“We finally have a daddy! Great!” Chelsea patted her chubby little hand.
Bella looked serious. “What’s so good about it? He has a girlfriend. His girlfriend pushed you down last time. Don’t you remember?”
Chelsea was upset and thought for a while, “I remember her. What about Mommy? Daddy has two girlfriends?”
Chelsea stretched out two fingers.
The door opened at the moment. Serina and Derek walked in.
“Bella, Chelsea, Daddy is back! He is your daddy.” Serina introduced Derek.
Derek squatted down and looked at the twins. They looked the same, except that one was more adorable while the other looked more mature.
He and Serina had twins!
It was amazing!
“Could Daddy have a hug?” Derek opened his arms.
Chelsea sat up and was about to run over when she was stopped by Bella. Bella stared at Derek, “Who was the woman with you last time?”
It was a little awkward. Derek and Serina looked at each other. Serina shrugged.
“A taste of your own medicine.” Serina sat on the side. She didn’t plan to help Derek.
Derek had never interacted with a child before.
“She was a friend,” Derek explained.
But the Bella did not buy it, “A girlfriend?”
Chelsea blinked. She looked at Bella, and then at her father, keeping silent.
“Not a girlfriend.”
“Then why were you so close to her? Were you watching a movie together?” Bella was sharp.
Serina tried not to laugh, looking like she was waiting to see how Derek would deal with their little princess.
“You are young, so it’s hard to tell the story. I will tell you later, okay? Come, give daddy a hug now. Please?”
Derek got in trouble. The two little kiddos didn’t seem to be easy to him.
“Don’t use our age as excuses. We know things!” Blueberries hated this kind of word the most.
Derek looked at Serina as if asking for help. Serina ignored him on purpose. She wanted to know how he would do next.
“Daddy only loves Mommy. Daddy can swear to God.”
“Then why haven’t you found us? Don’t you know that it’s difficult for Mommy to raise the two of us alone? Where were you?”
“I’m sorry. Daddy didn’t know we have you. Daddy will never leave you.”
“I swear,” said Derek as he raised his hand.
Bella did not know what to say. She looked at Serina as if waiting for her answer.
“Well, Bella, Chelsea, isn’t it good that Daddy is home now? Daddy was wrong, but Mommy didn’t do it right. Mommy never told Daddy about you two. I’m sorry.”
Serina looked at Chelsea and nodded.
Chelsea immediately ran into Derek’s arms. Derek picked her up.
“Daddy, you are tall!” Chelsea looked down and was surprised.
“Do you like it, Chelsea? You are Chelsea, right?” Derek asked as he pinched Chelsea’s cheeks.
Chelsea nodded, “Yes, I’m Chelsea.”
“Who gave you this name?”
“Mommy! Mommy likes to eat cherries and blueberries when she is pregnant, so we’re Chelsea and Bella, like cherries and blueberries.” Chelsea replied sweetly.
Derek glanced at Serina. What a foodie.
If she liked to eat braised pork, Derek wondered what their kids’ names would be.
“Dad, you won’t leave. Am I right?”
“You are right. I would never leave.”
“Will you take us to school? Will you pick us up from school? Will you buy us toys? Will you take us to the amusement park?” Chelsea kept asking. She heard friends say that their daddy would do those for them.
“Yes, Daddy will. Daddy will pick you up to school every day and buy you a lot of toys. Daddy will take you to the amusement park. When you are on holiday, Daddy will take you to travel. Do you like to travel?”
“Great! We love traveling.” Chelsea patted her small hands.
Derek placed the cherries down and gazed at Bella. “Bella, can you give Daddy a hug?”
Bella looked at Derek, a little hesitant.
