One more look at Zoe made Derek think he was more nauseous.
He took Serina’s photo from the drawer and put it on the table. Only then did he smile.
Derek continued to work.
Serina drove and picked Chelsea and Bella up.
Serina fastened her seat belt and turned to look at Chelsea and Bella. “I recently became a game endorser and made a lot of money. Shall we go out to eat today?”
“Good!” Chelsea immediately applauded happily.
Bella asked, “Mommy, are you lazy and don’t want to cook?”
“Of course not. I think you’ll get tired of the food I cook. I’ll take you to eat something different once in a while.” Serina had an innocent look.
“Mommy’s cooking is the best! Last time my friend came to our house and said that Mommy’s cooking is better than the chef in a five-star hotel!”
Chelsea looked triumphant.
Serina reached out and touched Chelsea’s little head. “It’s a fact. The chef of a five-star hotel is nothing!”
“That’s because Mommy is a foodie,” Bella said calmly.
Bella could always reveal Serina in a word.
Serina was a hardcore foodie. If it wasn’t for her love of eating, and the food outside couldn’t satisfy her, she wouldn’t learn to cook.
“Just take it as I want to be lazy, okay?”
“Alright, let’s go out to eat.” Bella smiled.
Serina curled her mouth at Bella coquettishly and turned to drive. “I heard that Rainbow Mall had opened a new super delicious Japanese restaurant. I will take you to get the secret recipe!”
Bella and Chelsea said in unison, “Let’s go!”
Serina had two purposes every time she went out to eat. One was to taste new dishes, and the other was to study the secret recipe while eating.
She basically could make the same taste after eating many dishes a few times.
Serina entered Rainbow Mall and found the newly opened restaurant. It was hard for her to watch the two children alone, so she reserved a private room. It was inconvenient for her not to eat in a private room.
Serina ordered the dishes she liked and the dishes suitable for Bella and Chelsea.
The family of three began to eat.
Summer Garden was an upmarket villa area. It was not a place for ordinary people to live.
The innermost luxury villa belonged to the Webber family.
The Webber Group almost went bankrupt. Fortunately, Zoe and her father Darnell turned the tide. They asked Derek for help to stabilize the Webber Group.
Although the Webber Group was not as glorious as before, it had finally survived the crisis.
Zoe was sitting at the dresser in her bedroom and putting on makeup. Lucia walked in and asked, “Zoe, do you have a date tonight?”
Zoe replied while putting on makeup, “Yes. So I’m going to dress up.”
Lucia sighed and said, “Zoe, Derek stood our family up at the engagement banquet. You were so angry that you said you wanted to avenge him for our humiliation. Why are you with him again now?”
Zoe paused for a moment, then she continued.
“Mom, I hated him at first, and I wished to kill him. But didn’t our group come back to life with his help?”
Zoe smiled faintly.
“I don’t understand business matters, but I feel that Derek is unreliable. If he wanted to be with you, why didn’t he come to the engagement banquet? The banquet passed, and our group suffered such a big loss, then he came back…”
Thinking about the past, Lucia still had lingering fears.
“Zoe, I’m a little worried about you being with him.”
Zoe smiled. “Mom, I was in a mood of revenge when I was with Derek at first. I also thought he had other aims for our family. But I later found that he was good to me after I was with him.”
“He is obedient to me.”
“Derek has been to our house several times. I think he is good to you. It’s just that he’s a man in the business. His mind is not easy to figure out. Does he have any intentions?”
Zoe put away her makeup box. She stood up and turned to hold Lucia’s hand.

Recently, Derek had been busy getting listed his company.
“You work overtime every night. Have you forgotten your girlfriend?” Zoe was wearing a long off-white dress and a pair of silver-white high heels. She looked like a fairy.
Derek looked up at her, smiled, and put away his pen.
“Sorry, I’m so busy today. I forgot about our date.”
Zoe curled her lips and walked over to Derek. She put a hand on his shoulder.
Zoe asked, “Tell me, how can you compensate me?”
Derek exhaled and stood up. “I heard that Rainbow Mall recently opened a new Japanese restaurant. Shall we go and eat?”
“Are you trying to get rid of me with Japanese cuisine?” Zoe pouted.
Derek said, “I haven’t had dinner yet. What do you suggest we do?”
“Well, for the sake of your hard work, let’s eat Japanese cuisine first. How about I arrange the rest of the evening?”
“Alright, I’ll listen to you.” With that, Derek picked up his clothes.
Zoe took Derek’s arm, and they walked out together.
Today was not a weekend, so Rainbow Mall was not so busy. Derek and Zoe walked towards the private room talking and laughing.
Serina rang the service bell several times, but no waiter came. She had to go out to find a waiter.
When she walked out of the private room, she turned her head and saw Derek and Zoe’s backs.
