Earnest!
Serina looked at Derek in horror.
However, Derek didn’t care about him.
“Quick! Hide!” Serina said in a low voice.
“Why? I won’t hide. He is my nephew, isn’t he?” Derek raised his eyebrows as if it was better for Earnest to find the truth.
“I don’t want him to see you here!” Serina stomped her feet and said.
“Why?” Derek frowned and lifted Serina’s chin up.
Did she really want to be with Earnest?
“I don’t want Ernie to hate me. What will he think of me if he knows I slept with his uncle?” Serina said as she pushed Derek’s hand away.
They were good friends!
“What if I want him to know?”
“No way!” Serina yelled at Derek.
“Serina! What are you doing? Open the door!” Earnest shouted at the door.
Earnest could more or less hear the sound inside. Fortunately, Derek’s voice was low. Earnest could only hear Serina’s yelling, but not so clear.
In a hurry, he started calling Serina.
Serina’s mobile phone rang. To decline the sound, she threw it into the bed.
“Go hide in the bathroom!” Serina lowered her voice.
“Then promise me one thing,” Derek said with a smirk.
“What?”
Staring at Derek, Serina was afraid that he would ask for too much.
“You have to say yes whenever I want you, even if we divorce.”
“What?”
If Serina had a knife in her hand right now, she would definitely chop at Derek’s head, without any hesitation, she swore!
“Derek, don’t go too far!” Serina said through the clenched teeth, but still in a low voice.
“I think I am not going too far. Just give me the answer. Hurry up, or I’ll go out.”
As Derek walked towards the door of the bedroom, Serina pulled him back.
“Okay! I promise you!”
“Good girl.” Derek touched Serina’s chin.
“Go to the bathroom! Quick!” Serina pushed Derek to the bathroom.
Then she hurried to open the door.
She saw Earnest who looked very impatient at the door.
“What are you doing? Serina!”
“Why are you in pajamas in the daytime?” Earnest was confused when he saw her wearing pajamas.
“I … I was taking a nap! You wake me up! Why are you here in the afternoon?”
Pulling herself together, she yelled at Earnest and sat on the sofa.
“It’s over 5 o’clock p. m. Are you kidding me? Taking a nap at the time?”
“I … I stayed up all night writing.” Serina glowered at him and said, “Remember to take the key next time.”
“Who were you talking to? Aren’t you alone at home?” Earnest looked at the bedroom.
“Why did you close the door of the bedroom? You hide a man inside?” Earnest stood up and walked to the bedroom.
“Stop!” Serina rushed to Earnest and stood in front of the bedroom. “You are not allowed to break into a lady’s bedroom!”
“But it is my house, isn’t it?”
“I’m the one living here now. There are all my pieces of stuff inside. It’s not appropriate for you to go into the room!”
“What’s wrong with that? You are not asleep now and it’s just a room.”
“I threw the clothes here and there, including the bras. It is messy!” Serina didn’t look at him. She thought her image as an elegant beauty was totally ruined.
Earnest burst into laughter. “Then I should have a look at that. I am curious about what your clothes are like?”
“Are you insane?”
“Alright, I was just joking.” Earnest poked Serina on her forehead and sat down back on the sofa.
Serina finally was relieved.
“Aren’t you grounded by your uncle? He would beat you up if he knew it!”
“He has been busy recently. I come here after I saw him go out.”
Earnest smirked.
Serina snorted. What a coincidence that the two men came here for her at the same time!
“I heard that you’re recruited as a scenarist. I think we should eat out and it’s your treat!”
“Of course! Let’s barbecue!” Serina patted Earnest on the shoulder.
“No. I want to eat the hot pot, with the meatballs and sauces you made.”
Serina pressed hard on the back of Earnest’s head. “You foodie! But it would take a half of a day for me to prepare all!”
“You promised me about that several years ago! You have to keep your word! I want to eat that!”
“Alright!”
At the moment, his phone rang, spoiling his enjoyment.
“Hello, Henry.”
“Mr. Earnest, Mr. Derek will be back soon. You should come back now. If Mr. Derek knows…”
“Okay, I’ll go back soon.”
Hanging up, Earnest looked like he heard the news that the world was about to collapse right now.
Serina looked at the bedroom. It must be Derek, the Great Demon King! He told Henry to call Earnest.
He was really slippery!
“Serina, I can’t stay here. I have to leave. My uncle will be back soon. Remember to cook me the hot pot next time!”
Earnest said as he walked out. He waved at Serina and left in a hurry.
Serina exhaled deeply.
Derek walked out of the bedroom with a mischievous smile on his face.
Serina squinted at him. But she had to admit that he looked so similar to Earnest when smiling like now.
“Why are you still here?” Serina was annoyed.
“He has left. So I don’t have to go now!”
Derek sat down beside Serina naturally. Serina moved a bit from Derek.
“Are you afraid of me so much?”
“It’s not that I’m afraid of you, but hate you!” Serina turned her head to the opposite direction.
“But you didn’t hate me on the bed.”
Serina picked up the pillow and threw it at Derek. Derek blocked it and the pillow fell to the ground.
“Fuck off, far away from me!”
Derek reached out to pull Serina by her arm. She was shocked by the sudden move and fell into Derek’s arms.
“You want me so desperately, don’t you?”
