Chapter 96 He Actually Left

“I’d like to hear your offer.” Derek curled his lips into a sneer.
Yolanda took a deep breath, “Divorce with Serina, and I will give you the cabotage right of S City.”
Derek smiled faintly at Yolanda, “Mrs. Lauren, you really made a big concession.”
“You won’t lose out. You can get any kinds of woman you want. My daughter doesn’t have the good enough academic qualifications for the Maynard family, nor does she have the beauty or the family background.”
Yolanda turned her head to the side, “However, the cabotage right of S City can help the Saint Group get out of the current predicament.”
This was indeed a good deal.
The Saint Group’s biggest problem at the moment was the issue of the cabotage right of S City. The Saint Group made half of its money on daily necessities. If this part’s sale fell down, the Group would lose a lot.
This was undoubtedly a heavy blow to the Saint Group, which was always at the forefront of the world.
It was a good deal for losing a woman to save the company.
Seeing that Derek did not speak for a long time, Yolanda continued, “If you don’t agree, I will never give you the cabotage rights of S City. When the time comes, you can only wait for all the warehouses you have to rot. Because of the delay in transportation, the goods that are transported abroad will be a problem, then the reputation of the Saint Group will be greatly reduced.”
“Derek, you are a wise businessman. I think I don’t need to explain any further.” Yolanda crossed her arms.

Early in the next morning.
Since yesterday afternoon, Serina had not gone to look for Derek. Strangely, Derek didn’t send anyone to look for her either.
Serina was very upset. She ran to Derek’s bedroom, but when she opened the door, she only found that there was no one inside.
The bedding was neatly folded, and there were no documents on the table that Derek used to pile up into a small mountain.
Serina had an ominous premonition and hurriedly ran out.
“Mom!” Serina shouted as she ran.
Before arriving at Yolanda’s bedroom, she crashed into the strong arms of Yurem.
“Serina, why are you in such a hurry?” Yurem hurriedly hugged her to help her stand steady.
“I want to see my mother!” Serina rubbed her head and prepared to continue running.
“She isn’t at home. She went to a meeting,” Yurem said, pulling her back.
Serina was dumbfounded.
“Is there something urgent?”
“Did Derek leave? I went to his room today and found that there was no one.”
“This…” Yurem looked troubled.
“Yurem, are you hiding something from me? Do you know something?” Serina asked.
“Serina, you are too silly!” Yurem knocked Serina’s head.
“What happened?” she asked.
Yurem sighed and turned to leave.
“Yurem, tell me!” Serina hurriedly chased after him.
Yurem went back to his room. Serina followed him directly.
“Serina, do you know why Derek wants to be with you?”
“What?”
Serina was a little puzzled. Their marriage was an accident. What else was there to do?
“I’m sure you don’t know that Derek’s the Saint Group is in deep trouble, right? What he needs now is the cabotage right of our city’s port, but the cabotage right is decided by your mother.”
“So?” Serina frowned.
“Idiot! So, Derek didn’t want to separate from you because he wanted to use you to get the rights to transport goods from the port! Derek had been here once before, and he had always wanted to contact your mother, but she ignored him,” said Yuren.
Serina lowered her head and pouted. “This is not true. Derek won’t do this to me!”
“Why not? Don’t forget, Derek is a businessman. Businessmen are best at weighing pros and cons!”
Yurem saw that Serina’s face went pale and continued, “Yesterday, I secretly heard your mother and Derek talking.”
“What did they say?” Serina hurriedly looked up.
“She wants you to divorce. She said that if he divorced you, she can give him the cabotage right. Derek said to think about it. Then, you saw that Derek left. He most likely agreed to her suggestion.”
Serina’s eyes shone with disappointment.
“How could it be like this?”
Serina seemed to be talking to herself. She then turned around and walked towards her room.
“Serina, don’t be too sad. It’s not worth it for this kind of person!” Yurem called out to Serina from behind.
Serina did not respond.
He sighed. Perhaps at this time, she needed to think about it herself.
After returning to her room, Serina recalled the bits and pieces between her and Derek.
It was hard to tell what was real and what was fake.
Could it be that Derek did not divorce her, because he wanted to use her to get the cabotage right? Now that he got it, so he left?
Tears ran down her cheeks.
She did not know why, but she felt even sadder than when she saw Sammy and Clara sleeping together.
That kind of sadness was like someone was twisting her heart bit by bit.
In the Benevolence and Justice Society.
Yolanda lost her temper at the meeting and sternly reiterated the rules of the Benevolence and Justice Society.
She was still angry after the meeting.
In her break room, Yolanda sat down and took out her phone.
Searching through the address book for a while, she finally found the phone number she had not dialed for many years.
After so many years, it was unknown if she still used this number.
Yolanda thought about it for a long time and finally called out.
It took a long time for the call to be connected.
“Hello.” A high and mighty lady’s voice sounded.
“I am Yolanda.”
There was a moment of silence on the other side of the line, and then the one drawled, “Yolanda…”
“It’s you. You still remember my number after so many years.”
“I didn’t expect you to be a nostalgic person. You haven’t changed for so many years,” said Yolanda.
“If I am not a nostalgic person, how can you find me? I heard that you and Andrew are separated? What happened? You can’t go on?”
“You are quite well-informed,” said Yolanda.
“Alright, let’s not talk about this. Why are you looking for me? Are you in trouble? We were friends. No matter if you want to borrow money or do something, I will help you.” sneered the woman.
Although she said “help”, her tone sounded like she was giving charity.
“There is indeed something I need your help with.”
“Tell me.”
“I hope your son can leave my daughter.”
There was a silence at the other end of the phone. Then she sneered, “Yolanda, I really don’t know what you are talking about. My son left your daughter? Is this a joke?”
