“Robert! Stop. Just stop”, Gerald tried to pull Robert away from Rachel. He was holding her against the wall. He caught her by her shirt collar and raised her above the floor.
They have never noticed Robert in such a furious state. He has always been the sweetest, flirtatious and funniest boy next door with a killer smile that captures every heart he comes across. But now he was totally different.
Anger stirred within Robert when Liam told him about the incident. He described about it to Robert on how the girls made use of her vulnerable state to attack Kathleen. Rage pulsed through his veins and he pushed Liam against the wall and enquired where he could find the girls.
Liam also informed him that EJ took Kathleen to the clinic within the university campus. It was Zac who ran to EJ to tell him about the incident. Zach? left the girls alone during the incident and rushed to find EJ. But EJ couldn’t reach there on time, the girls left the place before his arrival.
His anger spiked at the moment when he noticed Kathleen curled up like a heap on the floor. But he knew that he has to take Kathleen to a hospital before punishing Rachel and her friends.
Kathleen had a weak arm that should be taken good care of. But today, she might have broken it for worse. EJ picked her up from the ground and took her to the clinic.
Whereas Robert went in search of Rachel and her friends and found them in one of the empty classrooms. Anger rose in him like a tide when he saw them laughing happily. He scurried towards Rachel and lifted her off the floor and dashed her against the wall.
Tears welling up in her eyes, she squirmed under his hold. Doris and Melissa was shocked and they froze on witnessing the aggressive Robert for the first time ever. They never knew such side of Robert existed at all.
Gerald comes running into the classroom on hearing the news. He knew Robert would do something to Rachel if he wasn’t stopped at such times. His anger towards Rachel will hurt her physically for sure. The only person who could cajole Robert was EJ but as he isn’t here, Gerald tried to do his best.
“Robert, let her go. Just leave her”, stammered Gerald trying to pull Robert away from Rachel. Robert held her by her shirt collar and Rachel was suffocating right now.
“R-o-b-e-r-t, plea-s-e, p-l-e-a-s-e, I prom-i-s-e I w-o-n’t do that a-g-a-i-n”, she sobbed and begged at the same time.
“Robert, leave her down, please do it for Kathleen’s sake”, cried Gerald. Doris and Melissa stood there with tears pouring down their cheeks. They were scared on seeing this new Robert and his actions.
“P-l-e-a-s-e”, Rachel sniffed. Breathless with anger, Robert walked out of the room dropping her to the floor. Doris and Melissa hugged Rachel and cried out load.
Just as Robert leaves the room, Janice entered the room, she was filled with fury, rage, frustration, and irritation. Followed by Janice, Laura enters the classroom and she was furious too.
“How dare you do this to her?”, her voice trembled with outrage. Rachel looked at her with blood shot eyes.
“Crocodile tears”, Laura smirked. Janice gave Rachel a tight slap. She slapped her hard, making Doris and Melissa gasp. Gerald walked back into the classroom to find the love of his life slapping the mean girls of the campus.
Janice slapped Doris two consecutive times and Melissa covered her mouth in shock. Doris couldn’t react back this time as she wasn’t in the right state to fight back. Rachel was sobbing again and again. Melissa wept as well. Laura watched them with a smirk plastered on her face.
“Hey, enough! Enough”, Gerald dragged her away. Janice couldn’t control herself, anger rushed through her. But Laura is different, she tamped down her anger and irritation for good, she doesn’t lose her shit that easily.
“I’m pissed off, okay?!. They deserved it and they deserve more”, growled Janice, Gerald pulled her out of the classroom.
“I’ll beat the shit out of them. You wait and watch”, smirked Janice. Gerald glared at her. Laura watched them silently.
“Holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die”, stated Gerald and Janice just rolled her eyes to that comment.
“Then what the fuck do you what me to do? Be friends with her? She has hit my bestfriend hard and what do you expect me to do? Act cool ?! Because I fucking can’t”, barked Janice.
“When Noah told us about all these, fury roared through my mind. All I want is to take revenge”, Janice grunted.
Gerald moved towards her and Janice knew what he was trying to do.
“Gerald! just don’t, I’m not in the mood”, she replied moving away from him. Laura and Gerald stood there in silence.
“How is Kathleen now?”, Gerald asked Laura.
“She is fine. That’s what EJ said”, she said bluntly.
“Nothing serious right? Her injuries aren’t bad right?”, Gerald asked her, hoping that her injuries weren’t something to worry.
“Her arm is good but her hand has been bruised, maybe Rachel would have stamped her hand while walking away”, Laura hissed.
“Fuck”, Gerald rubbed his temples.

“Ouch, careful”, she glared EJ who was trying to put gauze to her bruises.
“I’m being very cautious right now. Don’t say anything, let me concentrate”, muttered EJ and he? wrapped the gauze around her small hands patiently.
The doctor said she was alright and her arm was fine, not a fracture like she feared but it was a sprain. The doctor advised her to take good care of her arm. And her abdomen was perfectly fine, the impact of the force due to the kick has caused sudden intense pain and as she was weak, she couldn’t stand to that.
“Hey I’m fine. Do you have to do all this?”, questioned Kathleen staring at him. But his gaze was fixed on her bruised hand.
EJ took her to the clinic and stayed there till the doctor examined her. He was very patient all this while and he ensured if she was okay time to time. He enquired the doctor about the pain that she experienced after the kick, the doctor assured that Kathleen was fine and healthy.
“Look, who is talking? The one who cried her eyes out in pain some time ago”, teased EJ. EJ sat beside Kathleen, she was asked to rest in the clinic for an hour.
“That’s not funny”, she snatched her hand and moved away from him.
“Hey, cool. I didn’t mean it that way. You say you don’t want to treat your bruised hand to the doctor and what if it gets worse. That’s why I wanted to help”, he stated with a small smile.
“I’m fine”, she grunted angrily.
“Hey, it’s okay to get hurt, it’s okay to go through pain, it’s okay to cry one’s eyes out, it’s okay to fall at times, it’s okay to accept it hurts as any of this is not going to tell the world that you are weak. And we knew that you are not weak”, insisted EJ.
His words moved her and she never knew that he can act so understanding.
Kathleen moved to his side and hugged him tight. Few drops of tears roll down her cheeks and he ruffled her hair.
“Ahmm, You are drenching my shirt”, chuckled EJ. Kathleen frowned as he was pulling her leg very single time she believed he was sweet.
“You can never change for good”, grunted Kathleen. EJ let out a chortle.
“You can call it the manufacturer defect or the manufacturing defect”, EJ laughed making her roll her eyes.
“Now, Tell me why do you have to sketch me? I’m talking about the painting.?”, she raises her brows.
EJ tsked and ran his hands through his hair.
“What? Don’t tell me it’s not you because I knew that Nes is you”, challenged Kathleen.
“Ah. Well, it’s easy to find Nes from Jones, isn’t it!”, he wasn’t ready to accept the fact that he liked Kathleen. It’s the first time he is liking someone for real.
“Ohh, Ethan I knew you admired my beauty so much that day”, kathleen giggled at her own joke.
“Oh, darling. For that to happen, you should first get yourself a personality”, smirked EJ.
“Huh? Really? I’ll tell you I’m over qualified for you”, scoffed Kathleen making EJ chuckle.
“Over qualified for what?”, Robert interrupt their conversation. He dug his hands in his pocket as he sat on the chair in front of them. EJ moved away from Kathleen putting some space between them.
“How are you now, Barbie?”, he spoke gently but he was confused on witnessing the proximity between EJ and Kathleen.
EJ has never cared for anyone in the past like this and he never tried to understand people or their pain. But now he is all different, he was gentle, trying to care her enough, diligent and helpful. Robert found it not right at all.
“I’m fine.. fine. Why do you all ask this?”,? bragged Kathleen making Robert smile.
In the meantime, Janice and Laura rushed to the clinic to see Kathleen and hugged her tight once they confirmed that she was fine.
