Chapter 54

Book:The Love In Marriage Published:2024-5-1

“What’s the plan for today?”, Keerthi asked her husband after their breakfast.
“Sex, Sex and..”, Vikram pretended to think,”Of course! More Sex.”
“Sure”, Keerthi rolled her eyes,”You have a one track mind.”
“Blame yourself”, Vikram shrugged.
Keerthi stared at her husband, smiling softly.
They had progressed so much into their marriage, as she recalled the initial days.
Nothing had changed much, neither he nor she. But they definitely understood the other better.
“Confession upcoming”, Vikram announced.
Keerthi laughed, snuggling into her husband’s chest. He was right. She was itching to say the three words to him.
“Are you seriously checking your mails?”, Keerthi asked, annoyed, when she glanced at her husband’s mobile.
“So?”, Vikram raised a brow.
Keerthi pressed her lips thin, pulling away. Though her husband could be a sweetheart half the times, he was an utter asshole when they fought.
The day had just started. Keerthi didn’t want to say anything that would spoil their moods.
Vikram rolled his eyes, pocketing his mobile,”Let’s go.”
“What?”
“Don’t you want to see the city?”, Vikram teased his wife.
Keerthi let out a small smile, taking the hand her husband offered her.
Vikram wrapped a hand around his wife’s shoulder as they walked around The Colosseum, admiring it’s beauty.
“The carvings are brilliant”, Keerthi was in awe.
“Spoke like the true architect you are”, Vikram pulled his wife flush against him, giving space to the others to walk.
Keerthi grinned, turning to her husband.
“Can you walk slower?”, Keerthi huffed after some time.
It was becoming difficult to cope up with his long strides, and she couldn’t admire the view.
Vikram rolled his eyes,”Why are you so short?”, he teased.
“I am not”, Keerthi glared at her husband. She was a good five feet six inches tall,”You are walking as though you are in a competition.”
Vikram shrugged,”You are shorter than me.”
“Wow. You are a genius.”
“Thank you. I know that too”, Vikram grinned.
“Seriously though. My legs hurt.”
“Should have thought of that before you decided to wear heels. We’ve come to visit places, not walk on a ramp.”
“It’s not your business.”
“So stop whining then.”
Keerthi glowered at her husband, stopping midway, her forehead hitting her husband’s back when someone pushed her from behind, making an ‘Oomph’ sound.
“Idiot”, Vikram’s lips twitched, bringing his wife to his side, holding her before she could fall, this time walking at a slower pace.
“Let’s go for lunch”, Keerthi announced after sometime.
“Let’s cover another place and then go. It’ll save some time.”
“I am hungry.”
“Should have had your breakfast.”
“It was too early.”
“Why are you so cranky today?”, Vikram turned to his wife, grinning.
“I am cranky because I said I am hungry?”
“There’s a time and place for arguments. You clearly have no idea about that.”
“I didn’t start it.”
Vikram ran a hand through his hair, he was getting frustrated. ” Fine. Let’s go eat.”
“No need. You don’t have to come. Cover your ‘places’ “, Keerthi rolled her eyes.
“Keerthi”, Vikram sighed.
Keerthi flung her hair, turning around, walking towards the exit. Her legs hurt so much. She felt like she would start limping at the end of the day, and she was tired, and hungry.
Vikram glared at his wife’s back, following her.
He barely stopped himself from yelling at her. They were in a public place. She was so going to have it from him when they reached their room.
“What now? Do you want to take a nap?”, Vikram asked his wife, sarcasm dripping his voice, as he wiped the side of his mouth with a tissue.
Keerthi blinked. She actually wanted one.
Keerthi stared at Vikram when they got into the cab.”Are we going back to the room?”, she asked, when she saw them go back in the route they had come.
Vikram glared at the back of the driver’s seat,”Yes.”
Keerthi assessed her husband. She kept quiet, it wasn’t the right time to talk. They had audience. The cab driver kept looking between them.
Keerthi could feel the anger radiating her husband when he removed his jacket, throwing the keys on the couch, jumping when the washroom door slammed shut.
She wanted to screech in frustration. She was genuinely tired, and her feet really hurt.
She would seriously treat herself if they didn’t argue for one day.
She sighed, taking a seat on the couch, exhaling in relief as she placed her feet on the table in front.
“Vikram.”
“Don’t start now Keerthi. You are getting on my nerves.”
“What?”
“Not now.”
Keerthi’s lips quivered, tears filling her eyes, as she stood up to change.
“Why are you limping? Does your feet hurt that much?”, Vikram asked, when he saw his wife limp to their luggage.
Keerthi ignored her husband, biting onto her lower lip to prevent from crying.
“I am asking you something.”
“Why do you care?”, Keerthi’s voice came out harder than she expected, wincing when she put pressure on her feet.
Damn, did she really hurt it?
Vikram glowered at his wife, walking towards her, as he picked her in his arms, placing her on the bed.
“Where does it hurt?”, he examined her foot.
Keerthi pulled her foot away from her husband’s grasp,”I want to change.”
“Answer me”, Vikram pressed his wife’s foot.
Keerthi felt angry tears leak her eyes, wiping them away with the back of her hand.
“Your feet hurt that much? That you’re crying?”, Vikram asked, twisting his wife’s ankle.
Keerthi shrieked, pain shooting up her leg,”Let it be.”
Vikram frowned,”Did you sprain your ankle?”
Keerthi sighed,”I don’t know”, she mumbled.
“Drop the attitude.”
“What attitude?”, Keerthi barked,”It’s you yelling at me. I’m already in pain, and you go on scolding me.”
Keerthi jumped when the door slammed shut, her husband walking out.
**
Keerthi stared at the wall as she debated calling her husband. It had been more than hour since he left.
Did she overreact?, she bit her nails, thinking.
But her feet already hurt so much, her husband’s continuous snapping irked her.
She shrugged, letting him be as she closed her eyes, shutting her thoughts down.
Vikram clenched his jaw when he entered their suite. Just how irresponsible was his wife? She didn’t even bother locking the door.
He glared at her sleeping form.
How stupid was she? Sleeping away without bothering to lock the door in an unknown place.
Keerthi blinked her eyes open, yawning, when she heard commotion in the room. She looked around. Was her husband back?
She got her answer when she heard the washroom running.
She stretched her limbs, lazing on the bed.
Keerthi pouted when she saw her husband’s face. He still looked angry.
“Hi”, she greeted, when he sat on the couch.
Vikram paused going through his phone, glancing at his wife,”Hi”, his voice came out clipped.
He would lash out at his wife if she tried talking.
Keerthi was getting bored, why didn’t her husband say anything more.
She sighed, flinging the covers aside, as she sat next to her husband, snuggling into his chest.
Though Vikram was annoyed at his wife, he felt warmth fill his chest at her action. He placed a kiss on her hair, scrolling through his phone.
Keerthi ran a hand through her husband’s chest, resting it on his waist, blushing when her husband gave her a look.
“I love you”, Keerthi poked her husband’s stomach.
Vikram’s lips twitched at his wife’s attempt to cajole him.
It was working alright.
He wanted to talk to his wife before he took full advantage of the situation though.
“How’s your leg?”
Keerthi moved her foot, checking if it still hurt,”It’s fine. There’s no pain now.”
“Why didn’t you lock the door when I left?”
“I didn’t?”, Keerthi frowned.
Vikram rolled his eyes, holding his wife’s hand, placing it where he wanted,”No. You didn’t.”
“Oh. I must have forgotten then.”
“You forgot?”, Vikram warned.
“I’m Sorry?”, Keerthi offered.
“It’s not a joke”, Vikram snapped.
“You are right. I.. I shouldn’t have forgotten”, Keerthi said softly, withdrawing her hand quietly.
“Damn right”, Vikram grumbled.
Keerthi squealed when her husband pulled her onto her lap, placing a hard kiss on her mouth. She squeezed her eyes shut, her teeth clashing with her husband’s as he plunged into her mouth, their tongues colliding against the other.
Vikram held a chunk of his wife’s hair, angling her face as he ran a hand on her bare thigh.
Keerthi stiffened when she saw her husband unbuttoning his pants, pulling his boxers a bit down, as he freed his member.
Keerthi whimpered as she let her husband bruise her mouth, cupping her from below, as he pushed her panty to the side, plunging into her.
Keerthi’s cries came out muffled as her husband didn’t let her break the kiss, as he rammed into her. She let out a breath, taking in much needed air when her husband released her mouth, her eyes rolling back in pleasure as her husband sucked onto the side of her neck, squeezing her breast in one hand.
She bounced on him, wrapping her hands around her husband’s neck, finding a perfect pace as they fucked.
Vikram fondled his wife’s ass, pushing into her as he kissed her hard, coiling her hair in a fist, peppering kisses down, sucking on the skin of her breast.
Keerthi squeezed the back of the couch, her thighs shaking as she came, her walls quaking as her husband continued to jam into her.
Vikram hissed in relief, squeezing his wife’s ass he released his load, holding his wife close.
Keerthi winced when her legs straddled her husband’s waist, her ankle throbbing when her husband held it at a particular angle.
“You said it didn’t hurt?”, Vikram raised a brow, making his wife sit in the bed, as he felt for the spray he got for her, in his pocket.
Keerthi winced,”It hurts in a particular position. Ouch! Vikram! Don’t do that”, she screamed when her husband twisted her foot.
Vikram sighed, spraying the medicine on his wife’s foot, it was warm.
“Where did you get it from?”
“It fell from heaven”, Vikram rolled his eyes,”I was passing by a pharmacy. So thought of getting it”, Vikram shrugged when his wife continued to stare.
Keerthi’s heart thudded. That was such a sweet thing. He thought of her even when they fought.
“Oh”, Keerthi mumbled,”Did you get something to eat as well?”, she asked sheepishly.
Vikram laughed,”Has your appetite grown?”, he tossed a bag of chips at her.
“Wow. You actually got something?”
Vikram shrugged, taking a handful of chips.
“Hey, your hands are big. Half of the packet is gone if you take a handful”, Keerthi protested.
“I have something else big too”, Vikram teased.
“You think of sex all the time”, Keerthi rolled her eyes.
“I don’t”, Vikram rolled his eyes,”Do you think I walk around with an erection all the time? I am only comfortable talking about it with you, because you are my wife. Though I am not denying that sex is on my mind multiple times in a day, I have other things to do as well. Ergo, I don’t think about sex all the time.”
Keerthi blinked. She was only teasing him.”I was joking.”
“I just clarified. Women have a wrong notion that all men want is sex. Though I am not going to deny sex is a very important thing, it’s not everything, at the same time.”
“Stop generalising women.”
“You come under the same category, given your previous statement.”
“Ugh. Winning an argument with you is so difficult. Why can’t you just agree one time and let me have the upper hand.”
“There is no upper hand”, Vikram snapped,”You are my wife, not someone who works under me. If I find your logic rational, I am going to agree with you too, even if it means I am in the wrong.”
Keerthi pondered on her husband’s words. They made too much sense,” You are right”, she agreed.
“See. Was it so hard?”, Vikram teased.
Keerthi laughed along, squeezing her husband’s hand. She yawned after sometime.
“I am so sleepy.”
“You slept through the almost entire day”, Vikram pointed out dryly.
“That’s not true. I only slept after lunch.”
“It’s almost dinner time.”
“I’m a sick person. Don’t be mean”, she teased.
Vikram’s lips twitched,”Since you are sick, I think you should eat sick people’s food too.”
Keerthi cursed her husband under her breath. He had an answer to everything she said.
She smirked when her husband leaned in to kiss her,”Sick people shouldn’t engage in too much physical activity”, she whispered against his lips.
“I can do all the work”, Vikram promised, sealing his wife’s lips with his.
