Like it, especially like it.” Elisa paused and said, “Dad and mom spoil me because I am their daughter, they have so many years of affection and blood ties with me. You spoil me because you are willing to take care of me. If I do something that makes you uncomfortable or you feel something is wrong, just remind me and I will soon find out.”
“Why are you talking about this all of a sudden?”
“Nothing much. It’s just that I suddenly feel that not so many people in the world are nice to me for no reason, or that everyone should be nice to me. I can let other people down, but I don’t want to let Dad and Mom, you and Bruce down.”
“Got it, Elisa.”
**
After Elisa called Emily White on the way and told her not to buy groceries, she drove with William to the supermarket to make purchases.
Although William did not show too obvious cleanliness or pickiness, Elisa still found that he did not love to touch these things too much.
So, when it came to picking out the food, it was basically William pointing out the dishes on the side and she picking them out with her hands.
The two of them work together seamlessly.
Elisa asked while picking out the dishes, “Are you like this in the business world too?”
“Showing obvious good and evil?” William asked.
“Mm.”
“The business world is a bunch of old foxes, so of course I can’t show too much personal preference. You’re different.”
Elisa held a large cabbage and tilted her head, “Why do I seem to be in a bright mood even though I’m being instructed to work?”
William rubbed her hair and let out a cheerful laugh.
The two of them bought four bags of things, one bag was specifically for snacks.
The others were dishes and household items.
When the two arrived home, the housekeeper had already sent Bruce and Wheel over.
When wheel saw the two come in, it rushed over with a fishy red tongue.
Emily White poked her head out from the kitchen, “Why did you guys buy so many things?”
“There’s too much money to spend.” Elisa said while changing her shoes.
Emily White was speechless, “Elisa, can you keep a low profile when you show off your wealth?”
“Can’t. My husband is so rich, low profile would look like I’m dishonest.” Elisa smilingly stroked the wheel’s head and put the bag containing snacks on the sofa, “Baby, this is for you.”
Bruce found a lollipop from the bag and stuffed it into his mouth, saying vaguely, “Thank you mommy.”
“Did you finish your homework?”
“I finished it at school.”
“Then how about making a birthday party for Grandma with Mommy and Daddy?”
“Good.”
Emily White yelled in dissatisfaction, “Elisa, even if you are lazy, you are still looking for helpers under my nose!”
“There’s a lot of people.” Elisa waved away Emily’s hand, “Ms. Emily you and Mr. Emmando what you like, the kitchen is our family tonight, it has nothing to do with you two. Please follow the rules, thank you for your cooperation.”
With that, Elisa pulled the glass door of the kitchen shut, thanking the two middle-aged and elderly people for their visit.
Emily White looked at the family of three and a dog busy in the kitchen, “Husband, I’ve been broken hearted by Elisa.”
Emman laughed, “Isn’t it better to wait for your daughter and son-in-law to make a good meal?”
“That’s true. Is Elisa good at making cakes or not? Every time I teach her, she always seems not to be listening at all.”
“Did you forget that your daughter is a straight A student?”
“Okay. She acts like a idiot every day, I really can’t remember that she is a straight A student.”
Emman turned on the TV and watched the science education channel’s “Geography. China”.
…
Elisa, William, and Bruce were busy in the kitchen for more than an hour, finally making a sumptuous table of dishes.
Elisa was mainly responsible for washing the vegetables and making the cake, William was responsible for cutting the vegetables and cooking, while Bruce and the wheel were responsible for hanging around and taking the opportunity to steal food.
Elisa came out with the cake and wailed at the living room, “Dad and mom, it’s time to eat.”
Emily White and Emman turned off the TV and came to the dining room.
Emily White exaggeratedly tsked twice, “Honey, I suddenly feel that our education is a particular failure. Your baby daughter has been at home for so many years, but she didn’t think to cook a meal for us on our birthday. As a result, once married, not only can she cook, but she can even make cakes.”
“It’s not because you spoiled her.” Emman laughed.
“Who spoiled her? Letting her get out of the kitchen once is like asking her to die.”
Elisa took off her apron, “The birthday girl, you’re okay. Can I ask for a few days a year without being scolded? You stimulate me so much again, I have a shadow in my heart.”
“Just your heart is wider than the big flat ocean, you still have a shadow in your heart? Do you know what that thing is?”
“Ms. Emily White, if you keep doing that I won’t send you a gift ah.”
“Just your taste, I don’t care at all. I’m more looking forward to my son-in-law’s and my little grandson’s gifts. Forget yours.”
“Husband, your mother-in-law dislikes me.” Elisa turned her head to William and complained.
William patted her head and laughed, “I’ll talk to father-in-law later and ask him to persuade mother-in-law?”
Elisa smiled and looked at Emily White with a smug face.
Emily White rolled her eyes, “Alas, it hurts my heart to see such a silly daughter.”
Elisa: “…”
Emman helplessly said, “You ah, Elisa is not at home, and you miss her; at home, and you stimulate her.”
“It’s not that no one is stimulating?”
William served soup to everyone at the table, even for Wheel.
Elisa took a sip of soup and said, “Mom, I think you and Dad can go to the orphanage and adopt a child back, so you can play and have something to do at the same time. How good is that.”
Emily White’s face changed slightly and she scolded, “Good for you, I’m tired because raising you, and you’re still raising a child to torment my old age, am I that idle?”
“You’re not idle, you’re busy.” Elisa picked up the soup bowl and touched the soup bowls of Emily White and Emman, “Happy birthday to my big princess, the more you live, the younger you are, the more beautiful you will be for the rest of your life. May the eldest princess and Emman have a harmonious relationship and be as loving as a newlywed couple every day!”
William saw that she had finished and smiled, “Mom and Dad, I wish you both good health, peace and joy!”
“Thank you, thank you.”
Emily White and Emmansaid in unison, taking a sip of the soup one after another.
Emman put down the soup bowl and smiled, “Having your blessings and meals is more important than anything else.”
Bruce said, “Grandpa and Grandma, and me. I wish you all a lot of smiles and happiness every day!”
“Thank you, baby.” Emily White and Emman also clinked their soup bowls with Bruce, “Grandma also hopes that baby is happy every day, don’t let your mommy bring you out of shape.”
“And what does this have to do with me?” Elisa quit.
“You are his mommy, how does it have nothing to do with you?”
