I never thought that this boss would be Robie. I was going home after work, he suddenly dragged me into my room and told me many things, including the truth that was five years ago.
“All those photos and videos are just edited to make it seem like that” Robie explained
It took me a moment to calm myself
I blame myself for being too hasty, trusting Megan and Fiona so much that I misunderstood for so long, but what can I do? Everything is over.
“It doesn’t matter what you say now, I will be engaged soon.” I told him calmly.
My words angered him and he hugged me. I pushed him away. I ran away from him.
Back to the apartment, Barton asked me how my day was. I didn’t want to hide it from him, so I told the Barton the truth,
“Just now, I was taken away by Robie.”
“He is too much,” Barton exclaimed
“Don’t be angry, he didn’t do anything to me.”
Barton knew I didn’t want to get entangled in this matter, so he didn’t say any more. However, he was anxious to find out about Robie. He can’t accept me being taken away by Robie.
I found out a piece of intriguing news. I found out that Robie bought the company where I work, just to be able to be in contact with me.
I was shocked, “What? He actually spent 5 billion to buy the company?”
“Yes, he spent that much money, but I won’t let him take you away from me.”
Barton drove me to the door of the company.
“Shall I go up with you?”
“No, I’ll be right back soon.”
“Well, I’ll wait for you here.”
I know that on the top floor is the president’s office, and I came here by elevator, but I didn’t see a figure inside the office, and when I saw my pictures all over the wall, I knew that Robie is the mastermind from all of these, and he was watching me all the time. When he came through the door, he didn’t recognize me from my back. Robie yelled at me, and when I turned around, he was surprised to see me.
“Darling, why are you here?” Robie asked
“I came to ask if you really bought this company?”
“Yes, since you won’t go back with me, I will move the company here to
accompany you.”
“Are you crazy?”
“It’s worth doing this thing, anything for you, my love.”
“We have no relationship, and I am here today to resign from you. I don’t want to stay in the same place with you.”
“Do you want to resign? That is absolutely impossible! Unless you can compensate me for 200 million liquidated damages.”
“What do you mean?”
“You forgot the contract you signed at the beginning.”
When I read the contract, I thought it was because they were afraid that I might get grabbed by other companies.
I didn’t expect that it would be a trap for me.
During the dispute between us, I couldn’t wait for Barton to come up, and when he saw that Robie was bullying me, they quarreled again.
After that long fight, I left with Barton.
A few days passed, it was our wedding day. I didn’t feel happy wearing my wedding dress. I just think that Barton is my defender or lifesaver, and this wedding was just to repay him even though I don’t hold that great of a feeling for him. What will happen?
It was about to start soon, but an accident happened. The servant came to tell me that someone outside was guarding the door with heavy weapons.
As soon as I heard it, I knew it must be Robie. Why must he be so persistent and refuse to let me go?
I was so nervous that I had to run out and saw them wrestle on the ground like children.
“My wife, you can’t marry him, you are mine!” Robie shouted
“Robie, are you crazy!? How many times have I said that we have no relationship! Why do you keep pestering me?”
“Because I love you, I can’t watch you marry another man. It will kill me of heartache.”
Barton wanted to protect me and decided to fight with weapons. He didn’t expect to lose in his own territory though, and Robie, who took the lead, provoked him. For Barton’s safety, I had to agree with Robie to leave with him.
When we went back to England, I felt that I was back to the days five years ago. He locked me up, and every day I just waited and watched the sea out the window.
My room door was pushed open. I thought Robie didn’t care, but I didn’t hear the sound of the door closing.
I looked back and saw a cute little boy in the door. I was attracted to him, walked over, squatted down, and looked straight at him, and said,
“Little boy, who are you?”
“I’m Frank, are you my mother?”
I touched his head and smiled and said,
“I am not. Who is your father?”
“My father is Robie. He told me that my mother will come back to see me today.”
This boy’s father is Robie? If my child were still there, it would be as big as the one in front of me.
An idea flashed through my mind.
“That’s….. That’s impossible…..”
“No…”
At this time, Robie came over and confirmed my thoughts,
“He is our child. He didn’t die. Grandpa hid him.”
My mood is really complicated. How could his grandfather do such a thing? “Mom.” Little Frank called to me

“Mommy isn’t crying, these are just tears of joy.” I hugged him tightly.
Minutes passed, I chatted and played with him, and I can’t wait to make up for all the five years that I was not there to care or even hold Little Frank .
Robie saw this scene in his eyes, and couldn’t help but to come and play with us. The president who has always been serious and cold is now gentle and even naive.
It’s getting dark, and I want to cook his Frank dinner myself. Robie has been staying close and is watching me.
“Why are you looking at me?” I asked him
“You look beautiful.” He replied
“Don’t say these words and just go.”
“I won’t leave, I won’t leave you in my life.”
I gave him a blank look and said nothing.
“My wife, stay with me. Let me make it up to you. I know what happened in the past is my fault, but I will protect you from now on.”
His eyes are sincere, and his words are tempting, but all his chances have passed. I didn’t choose to come back with him this time, and Frank’s appearance was unexpected.
“Robie, not everything can go back the way it is before. Let’s forget what happened in the past and not mention it again.”
“Why? Do you still hate me?”
I shook my head and said, “I don’t hate you.”
“Then why won’t you accept me?”
“There are many things which cannot be restored or repaired.” i said
“Then, can you stay and give Frank a complete family? He has longed for maternal love over these five years.”
I was completely shaken by his words seeing Frank’s eyes. I admit that I am not thinking the same as before but, how can I bear this kind of situation? This is my long-lost child.
