Aqua Louise Pov:
Immediately I ran out of his room, I stopped in the hallway to catch my breath, I placed my right hand on my chest as I tried to calm down my heartbeat that is doing a marathon, gosh he’s so handsome and scary at the same time.
“Why was my heart reverberating when I was with him like there is a force pushing me to stare at him, I forbid I say no to temptation please moon goddess take me out of temptation I don’t want to die young” I prayed and crossed my heart.
I started walking back, and thanks to the moon goddess I can still find my way as I remembered how we came. I’m now out of the upper floor going down when I bump into someone, I was shocked and as a result of that I staggered back and fell.
“Damn! ” I groaned and hissed in pain.
“Sorry” I heard a tiny voice say and looked up to see a girl smiling at me as she stretched forth her hard at me, she looked familiar and I tried to recall where I’d seen her face and yes I remember the girl that served me food when I was with Ma Olive.
I stretch forth my hand at her and she helped me up “Thank you” I muttered shyly dusting my clothe
“It’s nothing ” She replied and helped dust my clothes.
“Diamond” She smiled at me and stretched out a handshake for me to take. I contemplated whether to take it. I’ve decided not to let more people into my life but looking at her she doesn’t look like a bad person, she looks more like Silva, my friend. “It won’t hurt to give it a try” I concluded in my mind and stretch forth my hand for a handshake
“Aqua” I muttered
“Oh…. my that’s a cute name” She giggled,
“Thank you” I muttered brushing back some strands of hair behind my ear,
“Are you going anywhere?”
“No I’m off to my room” I muttered
“Alright let’s go we will chart for some time before I live for my quarters”
I stop on my steps after she uttered that sentence,
“You mean the maid quarters are different?”
“Yeah sure you don’t expect us to stay under the same roof with the Alpha King,” She said and I nodded my head wondering why ma Olive kept me here.
We entered my room and I sat on my bed and removed my flip flop climbing the bed. I took my phone which is now out of battery and plugged it in the nearby charging socket before coming back to my bed.
“Wow your room is awesome” She whine and sat on my bed while I just look at her,
“Are you from this pack?” I ask
“Yes sure” She replied still looking around
“So why are you working here?”
“I have to help out my family, we don’t have much,” She said and her face suddenly turned gloomy.
“I understand,” I muttered, patting her back.
“What of you Aqua, how did you get here?”
“I ran away from my pack its a long story and I won’t want to talk about it”
“I understand” She smiled
“How old are you?” I ask
“I’m twenty-one” She muttered
“Wow… same age with me” I giggled happily knowing that she’s my age mate
”I kind of knew you will be around my age when I first saw you, more reasons why I want to be your friend”
“Of course, we’re already friends” I smile at her happily.
“Really….” She gasps
“Yes if you want…” I shrugged
”Of course…. yes….. yes…..” She jumped on the bed and hugged me, I smiled and hugged her back… we were still in that position when the door clicked open and ma Olive entered.
She smiled looking at us and we disengaged from the hug, “How are you, child?” She asks looking at Diamond
“Fine my lady” Diamond bowled, she smile and ruffled her hair, she turned her attention to me and stretch forth some clothe to me,
“Those are your uniform put it on tomorrow morning and as from tomorrow you will become the personal maid of the Alpha King” I gasp as my mouth hung open
“Don’t worry child he does bite, be sure to wake up early as you will be among those to serve him in the royal dining tomorrow morning, and always go for cleaning when it’s right by then he must have left, he hates to be disturbed and make sure to live a glass of wine on the side table in the bathroom be sure to cover it and put it on the freezer to keep it cool okay?”
“Alright, ma Olive” I replied trying to gather all that she has said,
“Alright if you need anything you can come to my room I showed it to you earlier today?”
“Yes ma thanks for everything”
” You deserve more than this child, sleep tight ” She kissed my forehead and walked out.
“Wow you must be special” Diamond nudged my shoulder, and I smiled at her nervously still wondering how I could deal with the Alpha. I mean his mere presence set my body on fire, “gosh how do I cope?” I ask myself.
“Don’t worry the Aloha might look scary but he is nice” She smiles
“Have you found your mate?” I ask her and her face changed immediately
“Yes… but he’s always busy and refuse to give me attention he’s just like he’s friend or master should I say”
“Who is he?” I ask but she’s already sniffing, I shifted close to her and wrap my hands around her shoulder
“Tell me?” I urged her, she look at me and wipe her tears
“It’s the Alpha’s betta, he’s name is Rico”
“What…… are you serious?”
“Yes….”
“So why did you say he’s like the Alpha”
“Because both of them are the same” she look around conscious and whispered into my ear
“Since the Alpha’s mate rejected him at nineteen, he hasn’t looked at any lady again, and is his betta, he knows I’m he’s mate but he’s giving me a cold shoulder,” She said painfully.
“Don’t worry it will be fine ” I said patting her back lovingly, she wiped her tears and smile
“Sorry for that,” She said to me
“Oh… no it’s okay, you know sometimes you just have to release your pain, cry it out then just maybe you will feel better after that, but you know what?” I said and she shook her head negatively
“Don’t show him that you love him too much, sometimes do control your feelings around him”
“But… ”
“No, but….” I caught her by placing my finger on her lips.
“If you keep on going to him first then he might not look at you”
“What…..”
“Yes…. allow him to miss you sometimes”
“Alright I will try”
” Don’t try to do it” I said seriously
“Alright mom” She winked and we burst out laughing.
“Alright see you tomorrow good night love”
“Same to you honey” I blew her a kiss and she catch it in the air and place it on her heart, she pulled the door and walk out but opened it back and popped in her head
“Don’t forget to wake up early”
“Yes mom” I teased her
“Fuck you” She muttered shyly and closed the door.
I smile happy that I made a nice friend on my first day, happy that I met someone who is nice to me ma Olive, but then this handsome devil how will I face him, ”Oh dear moon goddess please help me” I muttered and covered myself with the duvet and close my eyes knowing that from tomorrow my life will take a new turn.
