Devian sat there with a gloomy face.
When it started getting dark he went back to Lyle mansion.
He entered and saw Averley Lyle sitting there.
“Mom” He greeted her and started walking to his room
Mama Lyle could say that her son was not in a good mood so she didn’t say much except for smiling and saying, “Dinner will be ready after a while.”
“Okay mom.” He started walking again.
“Leo, Where’s Arien?” After seeing that Arien is not home with him, Averley asked.
“She’s at her friend’s house for tonight.” He answered while walking.

“I’ve a lot to tell you.” Arien didn’t want to tell Ashley about all the fuss that has happened in her life but she saw that Ashley would be worried so she decided to tell her.
Moreover if she shared this with her maybe she would feel better.
“Go on girl, I’m listening. We haven’t met for a whole week. What were you busy with all these days?” Ashley asked.
Arien was quite. How should she explained about the marriage between her and Devian?
“What? Don’t tell me you’re going to say that you’ve both decided to marry for real and it would not be fake like before huh!” Ashley joked.
“We’re married” Arien said seriously.
“Pft haha!” Ashley burst laughing. “Are you drunk? Or you think I’m insane huh?”
“It’s true Ash.” Arien said lowering her head.
“You’re serious?” Ashley was not ready to believe her but when she saw the serious look in her eyes she asked every word very carefully. “Didn’t you say that you don’t like him?”
“It’s…. just a fake marriage. After his parents go, we’ll get a divorce.” Arien spoke. Her voice sounded so pitiful.
After a moment of silence Ashley asked, “Are you happy?”
“Huh?” Arien was confused. “What are you asking about?”
“About you and him getting divorced?” Ashley looked into her eyes.
Arien was not happy. But how will she lie to her best friend?
“Yes, I’m.” She turned her head, not looking at Ashley and said loudly.
“That’s fine then, let’s have dinner.” Ashley knew that Arien was not happy.
But she also knew how determined this girl was. If she said something, no one can change it after that. She decided not to ask her further.
Devian didn’t feel like sleeping. Since when did he started getting the habit of sleeping with her in his arms?
Arien also didn’t sleep well. She was used to his smell.

Next day.
Arien got up early and left for work.
In the office Andrew came to her.
“I apologize Arien for that day.” He said.
Arien was speechless.
“I hope you would forgive me. Actually I just wanted to joke but you took it too seriously.” He said and looked at her.
“Okay manager.” She saw that he’s not going back so she had to answer.
“Take care of yourself. Don’t let anything bad happen.” he said while walking back to his office.
“Huh?” What does that mean? Arien didn’t know what he meant by suddenly saying that.
Was he hinting something? Is he planning against her?
Devian’s mood was still not good. He was not able to sleep last night.
His face was still cold.
He didn’t contact her for the whole day and only came to her when the colleagues had left after the work.
Arien was the last one to pack up. She had the habit of putting her heart and soul in the works she did, so she didn’t see that she was left alone.
She only came to her senses when her phone rang.
She looked left and right then picked up and said “Yes?”
“I’m waiting in the parking lot.” Devian’s voice came from the receiver.
Hearing that Arien’s eyes lit up and she smiled brightly then in the blink of an eye her heart sank.
“You may leave first, I’ll be late.” She bit her lips and spoke while packing things up. “I’ll go by myself.” She added.
“I’ll wait for you even if I have to wait for the whole night.” He said coldly.
“?” Arien didn’t know how to answer.
“I said I’ll go by myself. You don’t need to wait. Just go!” She shouted and hung up the phone on him.
She put her head on the table and sighed in her heart.
“Am I being too tough?” She said to herself.
“Yes you’re” she heard a familiar voice.
She lifted her head up only to meet his dark cold eyes.
“Director Lyle?” Arien said.
“You still don’t remember what I told you? Do you want to be punished again?” He said.
Arien knew that if she addressed him like that again he would not spare her.
“Devian, you head back. I’ll be late. I have some works.” She retracted her gaze and said.
“When you lie you don’t look into my eyes.” Devian pinched her chin and forced her to look into his eyes.
“I’m not lying!” She shouted.
“You even shout to prove your lie” he smiled.
“Huh!” Since when did he know me so much she thought.
“Let’s go it’s getting late” he held her hand and walked.
Arien followed him in a daze.
They didn’t know that two pair of eyes were looking at their every move.

The same night a man and a woman sat there in a small café.
Woman: “I’ve got some photos of them.”
Man: “Those will do. Send me those”
Some photos were passed through messages form one phone to the other.
“Remember what you have to do tomorrow.” Man said.
“Yes, I’ll do it well” women smiled.
They both walked to their own paths.

In the car no one spoke to break the silence.
Both of them wanted to say something but they decided to keep quite.
“You…”
“You…”
Both of them spoke at the same time.
“You say first.” Arien said.
“Ladies first.” Devian said.
“Mmm… Actually, I wanted to ask, when are your parents going back?” She bit her lips and asked.
“I don’t know.” Devian answered and then questioned, “Why to ask?”
“Nothing… Just wanted to know. I’ll have to see some places I could rent. That old house I used to stay isn’t empty anymore.” Arien spoke slowly.
There was silent again.
Devian didn’t say anything for a long while.
“What were you saying?” Arien couldn’t help but ask.
“Nothing.” Just a small answer.
Arien didn’t know what to say further so she kept quite.
Devian also said nothing. The atmosphere in the car was boring and strange.
They had things to say but none of them spoke.
They reached home and had the meal with the whole family.
“What all happened today?” Mama Lyle saw the gloomy faces of them and spoke.
“Nothing much.” Devian answered.
After meal Arien accompanied mama Lyle for a chat then went to bed.
Devian didn’t come into the room until late.
Arien couldn’t help but twist and turn. She was still not able to sleep after staying awake since last night.
The door opened and Devian entered.
Arien pretended to be in a deep sleep.
She never thought that for so many night this was happening.
She didn’t expect that Devian actually pulled her into his arms after she sleeps every night and put the blame on her!
He held her and fell asleep. Arien also felt the familiar sent and gradually fell asleep.
She didn’t want to push him.
Devian also knew that she’s not asleep but decided not to expose her.
