“No worries, you don’t need to apologize. I’ll cook a great meal for dinner for you.” Arien smiled.
Julien agreed “Your food is great. Auntie Anne told me you’ve made them….” Her phone rang again. “I’ll have to leave now” she got up and left.
Julien was two years older than Devian but her behavior was still like a child. In fact Devian was much mature and calm as compared to Julien who was rather carefree.
She had a pretty face and a voice that sounds pleasant to ears. She was already 29 but was far away from love and marriage. She just liked to live by socializing.
That was the reason why Arien was able to connect to her easily.
But now here she was alone in this big house again!

“Director, Harry is sending many proposal for meeting” Dean stood reporting.
“Didn’t I tell you I won’t meet with anyone of Chester’s family.” Devian said sternly.
“Okay.” Dean answered and walked out. “This Harry is so frustrating. He has send more than 30 proposals by now!” Dean thought.
Devian stood there in front of the big window. His gaze was locked at afar. He was deep in his thoughts.
“What might she be doing?” He thought. His lips curled into a smile.
Only thinking of her made him smile like an idiot.
It seems that our cold director is falling for her!
Why did he have to give her the day off. If not, he would have seen her in the office.
He walked out of his office. Dean followed him.
Devian entered his car and drove back leaving Dean back.
“Where is he going to go missing again?” Dean thought. “Miss Arien is the only one who can make our director restless”

Arien was at home. Julien had gone out to an old friend of her. So she was left alone.
Bored!
“Why did he have to give me the day off. Didn’t he know that his sister would have her own business to deal with?” Arien sat murmuring.
“Sigh!”
Devian entered and saw Arien talking to herself. She didn’t even notice that he had already come behind her.
A while later she stood up and turned around only to hit his sturdy chest.
“Who….. Oh Devian……” She looked at him. “Devian?” She shouted.
“Am I imagining things? How could he come here.” She started talking to herself again.
“Hey Mr imagination, get away, don’t disturb me.” She pushed him and walked forward.
“It hurts… His chest is like a stone!” She murmured again. “Wait a minute… If he’s just an imagination then…. why does it hurt?” She turned around and saw him sitting comfortably on the couch looking at her, smiling.
“You’re actually here?” She exclaimed “how? … I mean these are work hours right?” She questioned
“I’m the CEO, do you think I’ll depend on whether it is a work hour or not?” Devian said.
“Ohh… Yes” Arien smiled. “Did you forget something?”
“No” he replied.
“Then are you hungry?” She asked again. “You left without eating so…”
“Nope” he answered
“Then why are you here? Get lost.” She shouted.
“Why does this girl become mad without any reason.” He thought.
Devian frowned. He came here because he wanted to see her and here she is, chasing him away.
“I just came here because I wanted to come.” He said in a cold tone.
“Is that so.” Arien walked to him and sat beside. “Then tell me about your sister, about your family.” She was curious to know about his family.
Even if he was cold, he had a good upbringing. Definitely his parents would be very happy to have him. They must also be great to have such good genes.
“You want to know?” He asked looking at her.
“Yes, I want to.” Arien looked at him with longing eyes.
“Then go find yourself.” Devian got up and walked to his room with his gloomy face.
“Is this man mad at me?” Arien thought “but why?”
She followed him closely.
“Why are you upset?” After thinking a lot she still wasn’t able to make out why he had a long face.
“I’m not.” He answered with no expression.
“So why such a long face? Are you mad at me?” She asked again.
“I’m not.” He repeated
“You are!” She argued.
“I said I’m not.” He kept walking.
He was about to enter his room. She walked faster and stood in front of him stopping him from walking further.
“Now tell me what’s that?” She glared at him.
Devian stood there, folded his hands and looked at her with a frown.
He came over, leaving his meeting just to see her and as he came he was asked to leave. Moreover she still had the guts to ask why is he upset.
He’s not going to talk to her and ignore her for the whole day.
“If you’ll not talk to me, I’ll go to Harry then!” Arien didn’t know why he was ignoring her which made her perturbed.
Just as she finished she was pinned by him, again.
“Repeat that and you’ll be dead.” He said in a voice as cold as ice.
“But….” She tried to speak but the look in his face was scary so she immediately shut her mouth.
He saw that she’s not giving any explanation, he became angrier.
“Say?” He snorted
“What….?” She wanted to ask but suddenly he leaned towards her and kissed her hard.
This man uses this trick to stop her from speaking what he doesn’t want to listen.
After a while she was out of breath, he let her go.
“What… What are you trying to do?” She was still panting.
“Don’t you know how to breath while kissing?” His mood was lifted seeing her flushed red face.
“You…!” She was so flustered. “How will I know how to breath while kissing. I’m not like you, kissing anyone I see.” She decided to teach him in his way.
He leaned over her again, so close that their nose were touching. “Then I’ll go on until you learn how to breath while kissing.”
This man is so shameless. How could he say such things so casually.
“Let go.” Arien pushed him on the chest.
“Okay.” He stood straight.
She was walking out when she suddenly heard him saying. “I suppose, you’re the first one I’ve ever kissed.” He emphasized on the word ‘first’.
“Ahh?” She turned around. He was still standing there with his back towards her.
She stood there looking at his back with a sweet smile.
She didn’t realize when she walked over to him. He turned around and saw her looking at him.
“Mr Lyle, are you hungry?” She asked with her head lowered.
“Yes.” He said.
“Come, let’s eat then.” She held his hand and pulled him out.
Earlier she didn’t eat with Julien but now she was feeling hungry.
