The rescue plan

Jace
Everyone is in the living room pacing about, even the heavily pregnant Alexa. There is no one settled at the moment. Amy has been gone for more than five ours, and my wolf has been very patient not to burst out and attack the Redclaw pack territory. I also want to run out of here but it would be equally useless to make an entrance without a clear plan.
“Damn it!” I curse under my breath.
“Calm down, Jace. We all know what you are going through right now. No wolf would settle down when their mate is in danger,” Jordan says while patting on my shoulder. I am trying to calm down but it is very hard.
“Amy has been gone for hours now, and you expect me to calm down!” I don’t want to shout but I can’t help it. I know it is not their fault and they are trying very hard to help.
“I am so sorry. I am just worried about Amy. I have no idea how she is or if Dwayne has hurt her,” I say while running my hands through my hair and tugging at the roots. I think I will have no hair left by the end of this calamity because of pulling at it whenever I am frustrated.
“We all understand. We are going to rescue her. All we need is a good plan,” Jose tells me.
I lean against the wall and face my what I have considered to be my family for so long. Seeing them all troubled about Amy’s kidnap really shows how much they love me. We have all been there for each other since we were kids and now they are going to be there for my girlfriend, my mate. They actually seem to have more hope than I have in getting Amy safely from Dwayne.
“Okay. Here is what I am thinking,” Patrick says, and all of us eagerly give him our attention.
“Jace, obviously, won’t go to meet Dwayne on his own. I bet he has everything well planned for him to arrive on his own and get captured immediately. What we are going to do is go there together,” he says.
“At once?” Elle inquires.
“Yeah. Wouldn’t that be a bad idea if we all get caught at the same time?” Jose inquires.
“That is why we will have to go in turns. Like we can’t all go at the same time, but some of us will go to rescue Amy from wherever Dwayne may have put her,” Patrick replies.
“Some of us would distruct his guards and then have him surrounded,” Jordan suggests.
“But Dwayne has very many guards. How will we manage to distract them all?” Elle inquires.
“We can cause distraction at many levels. Like one of the women goes to find Amy and another one could destruct whoever is guarding her. At that same moment, Jace goes to meet Dwayne,” Jose suggests.
“At that moment, most of the guards will be busy with the two destructions outside and inside his castle. There will be only few guards left guarding him. Depending on how the talk goes with Jace and Dwayne, we will be ready in attack,” Patrick says.
“I am very sure there will be no civilized conversation between me and Dwayne,” I tell them.
“We know Dwayne well enough not to expect a civilized talk. That is why we will be ready to attack any time when he makes his move,” Patrick says.
Now there is a heated discussion and brainstorming of ideas on how to rescue Amy. Alexa is heavily pregnant so she won’t be involved. She will remake behind with the kids. She will be able to defend them in case anyone dares to attack them when we are gone.
“What if we don’t find Amy?” Sophia inquires. Yeah. We had not yet considered that possibility.
“Then you leave the castle. We will find a way of knowing where she is. I am sure Dwayne won’t just give her up if Jace shows up,” Patrick replies.
“What everything doesn’t go the way we have planned?” I inquire.
“Then we go for plan B,” Patrick replies.
We all listen attentively as Patrick lays out plan B. Pan B really sounds like the last option. It is very risky and dangerous. They will have to be some blood bath because we will be attacking Dwayne directly. I am so over the self pity now. If it means fighting Dwayne till my last breath so let be it because I am not going to leave without Amy.
Dwayne has already taken a lot from me and I will not let him have his way through time. If he thinks I am just going to reach there and cry on his feet then he is very much mistaken. I am going to fight and I am going to have what belongs to me in the end.
Amy will be with me again. She will move in with me and she will be mine again. I will cherish her needs and I will make her the happiest woman on earth, if she lets me. She could be knowing the truth now. That I am a werewolf. Does she think that I am a beast? Does she hate me now? Will she even want to come with me when I show up to get her back?
There is no time for negative thoughts! I scold myself. I need to be positive, at least my family is tying very hard to be as positive about the mission than I am. I have to be hopeful.
We get out of the house and enter the woods. My wolf is set free as I run through the woods, cool air blowing through it’s for cooling him a bit from the pressure of losing his mate. The others run a long with me giving me all the support I need at this time. They are all I have left and I will never forgive myself if Dwayne hurts them in anyway.
We arrive infront of the Redclaw pack territory. We are still hidden in the woods but the castle is in view. Being back in this territory brings back a lot of memories, most of which are no desirable. I never thought I would come back to this place where my childhood was tormented. Those memories have haunted me since then.
My father laying in a pool of blood, cold. My mother crying over her husband’s dead mother. Dwayne’s hysterical laughter in jubilation. They way he raised his hand and slaughtered off her head.
A child should not have been subjected to that terror. By the time Mrs. Perla not, Jose’s mom, grabbed my hand so that we could ran away, I had already seen everything. If it hadn’t been for her, I would have been next. That is why I would never let go of my family, ever!
Wait a little longer for me, Amy. I am coming to get you, I assure her in a silent prayer while looking at the ancient castle that I lived in during my childhood. That used to be my happy place. Now it is being used as a prison for kidnapping people. There is only evil in that house. Evil Alpha, evil pack. I can never trust someone from the Redclaw pack again.
We transform into our human forms and walk around the place taking in the environment. Good thing we carried some clothes with us. Transforming without preparation can be very uncomfortable. I remember nudity being overlooked in the pack but not around the castle or in it. All these years I have spent living in the modern human world makes me feel very uncomfortable walking around naked when people are watching.
Nothing has changed around here. It is still the same old settlement. The other houses for the rest of the pack are on either wings of the castle. The castle is the main house for the Alpha and his Luna. Most pack events are hosted there and visitors from other packs are also given accomodation there. I don’t think there have been other packs visiting the Redclaw pack. Many packs disassociated themselves from the Redclaw pack because many Alphas hate Dwayne.
Mr. Perla had a suggested that we join a new pack after breaking away from the Redclaws but Jordan and Patrick’s parents wanted to raise us in a normal life. Away from all the pack problems so that we could have a normal life.
All the men in front of the castle and are on the lookout. With there high sense of smell and hearing instincts, they can easily spot intruders. We are s very safe distance from the castle. They won’t be able to notice us. The warriors of the pack are the ones that defend the Alpha. Mr. Greg, Patrick’s father used to be the trainer of the pack warriors. I wonder who trains them now.
“They are so many. How are we going to go past them?” Elle inquires.
“You should take the back way and sneak into the castle,” I tell Sophia and Elle. They give a slight nod pad away through the woods.
“I will go in now,” I tell them and they nod.
I walk out of the woods and stand in front of the huge house. I am back. I am back to win back all that Dwayne has ever taken from me. The guards stand on alert when they see me. I recognize some of them. Others are new faces.
They all walk towards me, I guess to hold my hands like a criminal and throw me into Dwayne’s eyes. I raise my hand as a signal that they should not step any closer. They immediately stop dead in their tracks.
“Don’t you dare move any closer to me,” I order them. It seems they haven’t forgotten their place.
“I know my way inside,” I give them a glare and walk into my old home.
Everything is still intact, just the way I remember it. The beauty of the house doesn’t reflect the atmosphere. It is gravely quiet in here. No children’s laughter. No friends chatting. No goddess Luna for women in the pack to shower with love.
Amy deserves this. She deserves to be a queen. The Luna of the Redclaw pack, and I am here to make it all happen.
“I see you made it,” Dwayne’s voice cracks in through the great hall.
“Were you expecting otherwise?” I inquire with a nonchalant look. He chuckles and walks towards me.
“Ofcourse not. I knew you had to come for your so called girlfriend,” he replies in his annoyingly calm tone.
“Where is she?”
“Don’t worry. She is safe,” he replies with a
an evil smirk.
“If you dared to land a finger of yours on her then I will make sure you very much regret it,” I say through clenched teeth.
“Her skin is still intact. I am not sure about her mind, because I think she just received the shook of her life,” he says with a secret smile.
“What are you talking about?”
“I told her the truth. I can’t believe she didn’t know you were a werewolf!” he says and laughs proudly.
Fuck! Fuck! This can’t be happening! I clench my fists so tight that I can feel my nails digging into my palm.
