Chapter 32 To Smith’s

Book:The Badboy's Hometown Princess Published:2024-5-1

Harry had been a douche to me. Like seriously? He had been using me to do his works. I understood why he wanted me to do the things that he said. Uncle Zach assigned him few basic works to do regarding their businesses but Harry was not at all interested in them so he wanted someone who can do them for him. As his plan, he provoked us for a bet game and as he expected he won and hell, he was making me do those works. They were not that hard, just studying few files and modifying them. Even high schoolers can do. But this Harry…!!
Apart from doing his tedious work, he even ordered me to keep it as a secret from his dad. I agreed to him but an evil smirk appeared on my lips of the thought to tell his dad about everything after I got my watch back.
I was on my bed still doing the work he assigned to me. Anna had been laughing looking at my situation though I was throwing daggers with my eyes. Before game, she assured me that we would win certainly, to an extent that made me think there’s no doubt in her words but now she was laughing like a maniac.
“Could you stop laughing?” I shouted at her.
“Harry always gets what he wants one way or other. He is so smart.” She kept laughing.
“Now I get doubt that you are my friend or that idiot’s.” I rolled my eyes.
She knelt behind me on the bed wrapping her hands over my neck. She then kissed my cheek saying “You are my best friend till I die and no one can replace you. And Harry… he is like a brother to me and I love my smart and crazy brother. I love seeing when my brother plays with my cute best friend.” She laughed again.
I pushed her away focusing on my work. Her mother called and suddenly she became a typical good girl. After an hour, we both strolled down to the living hall. Harry kept smirking at me whereas I was looking at him with the most infuriating way that I could show.
“We are going to Mr. Smith’s today evening. He is the new business partner to your dad and he is an old friend too. They met again recently.” Aunt Charlotte said sitting in front of Harry.
“What? No mom. I’m not coming. We have plans. We are heading to Oliver’s the evening.” Harry replied.
“Nothing to do. You can postpone your plan. He invited us to a party and we are going.”
“Mom! I told you I’m not interested. You can go.” He said irritably.
“He told to take you with us.”
“Why? Is his daughter attracted to my charms?” he smirked looking at me.
“In that case, his son might have attracted to you. Mr. Smith has a son, not a daughter.”
With Aunt Charlotte’s words we all chuckled that made Harry furrowed his brow. He kept convincing his mother that he was not interested but Aunt Charlotte didn’t care about his words. She was hell bent on making him to go with them. After a lot of convincing, shouting, yelling, she made him accept.
“I will go with you to Smith’s, stay only for few minutes and I will head to Oliver’s.” Harry said and Aunt Charlotte accepted.
She then turned to us asking us to come. Roman said we would go to Oliver’s and Harry will join later. She accepted but Harry was looking at me and I understood an evil idea was running in his head.
“Mom! I want Stella to come along with us. I mean, Mr. Smith is an old friend to dad so he might have known Stella’s dad too. Why not we introduce her too?”
“Perfect.” Roman shouted. “You take Stella with you, Anna and I… will go to Oliver’s.” Roman winked at Anna and she started blushing.
I’m sure I’m going to kill all these three idiots one day.
“Stella! He is right. Come with us.” Aunt Charlotte smiled.
“No… I don’t know anyone there…” while I was saying I was cut off by Harry.
“Stella! You should come.” Harry raised his eyebrows.
“Yes Stella. It would be so good if you come along with us.” She said.
“She will. I’ll make her accept.” Harry told his mother.
Harry’s mother stood from the couch and walked away. I raised my eyebrow looking at Harry. “I’m not gonna come with you.”
“You should Stella. Remember the bet. You have to do the things which I say.” Harry smirked.
I took a pillow beside me and threw it at his face shouting “Go to Hell.”
He laughed looking at me and I walked away from there. Aunt Charlotte took me for a shopping to buy a dress for the party. She was so kind and she even paid for my dress though I refused. It was an attractive full length red frock that had a little design on it. She even bought me a costly necklace. She forced me to take it and I accepted reluctantly. After shopping for few hours we reached home. I showed the things that I bought to Anna and her mouth dropped wide open looking at them.
“These are amazing.” She said looking at them.
It’s evening I was getting ready to go with them. I wore my frock which fit me perfectly. Then I wore my necklace which Aunt Charlotte bought for me. Anna and Roman already left. They had been enjoying more. I was sure that they didn’t go to Oliver’s. They might have gone God knows where.
While I was fixing my hair, Harry entered in.
“You don’t have atleast a bit of manners, Harry. You should knock the door first before entering in.” I said while straightening my hair.
“I don’t even knock the door of your house then how can you expect I would knock now.” He laughed.
I rolled my eyes and turned to him. He looked more handsome in his black suit and white shirt. He was classy rather than the one who was mischievous.
“What do you want?” I asked.
He strolled towards me and handed me a perfume. “What is this?”
“My favourite perfume for my favourite girl.” He smiled.
My cheeks started burning up with his sentence. I took the perfume inhaling the fragrance from it.
“Thank you.” I smiled.
He nodded his head and strolled out. Then we all started there. As Harry and I had to reach Oliver’s after the party, we both started in Harry’s car whereas Uncle, Aunt and granny started in other. We reached a house which was as big as Harry’s. Harry offered his hand and I took it. We all walked inside and was welcomed by a sweet couple Mr & Mrs. Smith. Uncle Zach introduced Harry to them and they introduced their son, Charlie who was charming like Harry. Then Uncle Zach introduced me to them. Mr. Smith remembered my dad and asked me about him. He wanted to talk to my dad so I called my dad and they talked to eachother.
Harry kept getting calls from his friends asking us to go fast. I sat silent on the chair while everyone was talking to eachother and Harry was on his call.
“You look gorgeous.” I heard a voice from behind. Before I turned back, Charlie sat beside me smiling.
I smiled back thanking him. Then I kept silent.
“It seems your dad and mine had a good relationship.” He started the conversation.
“Yeah I think the same.” I replied though I didn’t feel the same. They were just classmates how can they had much relationship?
“So where do you stay?” he asked.
“At Uncle Zach’s. I came to spend few days with them. It’s not my native. I guess I said it to your parents in front of you.”
“Oh my gaze was fixed on you and my focus was only on your beauty. How can you expect I heard your words?” He smirked.
Oh Charlie! I can’t fall for your stupid flirting. I’m already Harry’s princess.
I looked at Harry, who was still talking on call. Some day I’m going to burn his cell phone. Always talking.
A soft music started playing and everyone started to dance. To my surprise, Charlie held my arm asking “Let’s dance.”
“No. I… I don’t dance.” Saying that I tried to pry off his hand from my arm.
“Stella! It’s rude to reject someone like me if they ask for dance. That too in their house. Do you know that?” He started dragging me to dance. I looked back at Harry but he was not seeing me.
I tried to hit him or the worst kick him so hard but I kept silent. I didn’t want to make a scene as I came with Harry’s parents and I didn’t want anything to go wrong.
Charlie started twirling me and he kept dancing. He wrapped his hand around my waist that made me feel uncomfortable. He pulled me to him so close with which I was disgusted. He rested his face at the crook of my neck, inhaling the fragrance.
When I was struggling in his hold, I felt a hand on my arm dragging me away from Charlie. Harry clenched his jaw and kept looking at Charlie angrily.
“Hey Harry! You can find some other girl for dance. She is mine for now.” Charlie said in an arrogant tone.
Harry stepped front clenching his fist. I held his hand with my one hand and put my other hand in front of his stomach making him stop.
“Harry! Please don’t make a scene.” I said in a low tone.
Harry’s angry gaze fell on mine. He gritted his teeth saying “We should leave.”
Without listening to my reply, he held my arm and dragged me away from there.
“We should inform your parents.” I tried to tell him but he didn’t listen. We both hopped in the car and he started driving. He was so angry even with me. I didn’t understand what I did.
“I took you there so that you would stay with me. Not to enjoy with all other guys.” Harry shouted while driving.
“What? All other guys? What do you think about me Harry? Do you even have any idea what the hell you are speaking?” I shouted back.
“You fucking dancing with him.”
“It didn’t happen with my consent. He dragged me to dance and I was silent as I didn’t want to make a scene there.”
“Like it’s the truth.” He scoffed.
His words made me more furious. I yelled “It’s just a bloody dance. Why do you care even if I enjoy with other guys?”
To my question I could see he was getting more furious. I thought he would kick me out from the car but he didn’t do any such thing. Oliver called him and Harry shouted him saying we were not going there. We reached his home silently and he walked to his room angrily. I too strolled to my room with the same anger showing on my face.
