Chapter 51 Love At The Alter

Book:Chasing Broken Desires (Book 1) Published:2024-5-1

Today is my day. Today is the day that fairytales are made of. Today is the day that dreams are made of. I have been planning for this day for months. I have dreamt of this day for weeks. Today is a new beginning. Today is the beginning of the rest of my life
Today is my wedding day.
My name is Jenna Davis.
Today I am marrying the love of my life.
Tyler Moore.
Standing at the edge of the carpet that leads to the alter, I am gripped with the same feelings I felt when I decided to abandon my husband to be a year and a half ago.
I have before experienced excitement and yet been more terrified at the same time as I do now
This time I am sure, this time I want to marry the man waiting at the altar for me. Everything else except Tyler and me has now seized to exist, for, in less than a few minutes, my fairy tale will come true.
He is standing there in his tailored suit, looking as gorgeous as ever. His hair still messed up in a perfect kind of way, his godlike body still screaming to burst out that shirt. He is a hunk of a man, and he is about to become mine.
The music starts; I walk my bridal walk up to where he is waiting for me to embrace. When I look into that deep brown eyes, my body melts, and I know I am sure.
“Jenna, I am at a loss for the perfect word. If I thought that your beauty could not go beyond compare, I would say that I have been proven wrong.”
“And I much say you are wearing that rather well.”
He only but chuckles me nervously; well, we both did not quite know what happens from here, so we will go into this as blind in as we went on the first day we met.
But as they say, love is blind, and I am going to be the fool that rushes into it.
So it is without even having to hesitation that I take his big strong hands into my tiny ones that are trembling visibly to the eye. But the moment he envelopes them, all the anxiety and nervousness slip away. His smiles grow even fonder around the corner of his lips. Those big brown eyes sparkle like crystals in the sun. And I know this is right where I need to be.
“Tyler, you were built for me. We were meant together; you are the sea under my sky. You are the sun to my horizon. I knew the second I met you that there was something about you that I needed. It turns out it wasn’t something about you at all; it was just you. I belong to you. I had belonged to you since the beginning, since before I even knew that I did. It only took one minute to fall in love with you; if I only had one minute to live, then I will spend all sixty seconds to tell you how much I love you. Of all the things I have started, loving you is the one that I never want to finish. Here, now, a million lifetimes from this one, I will love you.”
And as I lace my fingers between hers, I start to fumble at my words.
“Jenna, ever since our first kiss, the only sweetness I crave is the one that comes from your lips. My soul made love to your soul long before our bodies met. When I first laid my eyes on you, I recognized you. You held my future in your hands. It is because of you that I am deliriously happy. You make my cheeks ache from the smile you put on my face. I am completely at home anywhere you are. My love for you spans over the lines of my past, present, and future. You are what I love remembering, what I love experiencing, and what I love looking forward to. I would have exchanged my immortality if it meant that I could only touch you once. I want you to be the first thing I touch in the morning and the last thing that I taste.”
This is the moment that Tyler has been waiting for since the day he left me that box. This is the moment I have been waiting for since that day he went on his knees on the side of that road and asked me to love him forever
“I do, Tyler Moore”
“Come here, Mrs. Moore, and kiss me.”
“Already trying to show who is boss.”
He pulls me closer, resting one hand on the small of my back, the other around my neck. When our lips meet, it feels like our bodies are melting into one. The feelings my body yearns for aren’t those that can be displayed for in this moment of time. His tongue slips effortlessly between my lips that have too much lipstick on. He tastes divine; the sweet taste of the whiskey he drank to calm his nerves still lingers on his tongue.
He takes, and he makes my whole body and soul his. Our tongues move in a perfect rhythm together, almost matching the beating of our hearts. He kisses me more passionately than he ever has done before, and he does not want to let go.
We finally pull apart, panting and wanting, but first, we have a union to celebrate
“I love you, baby.”
“And I love you more.”
“You know that is cheesy, Jenna.”
What can I say? You bring the cheesiness out of me.”
“That is even worse.”
“Shush, let’s go get drunk.”
On our way to the tavern, reality needs to sink back in. He was there, and he is waiting. Heis Luke, and he is waiting in the darkness for the day I am finally alone. I am terrified of what he will do when he has his hands on me.
Tyler has been preparing me for the day that I will come face to face with a man I used to love. A crazed man that will do anything to have me back. I don’t think I will ever be ready.
“Baby.”
“Yes?”
“I think I left my purse at the station.”
“But you just had it in your hand.”
“It was not my purse.”
“But you have had it on you the whole day.”
“Oh, Tyler, you are so stupid.”
“For fuck sakes, what did I do now?”
“I am trying to tell you to take me to the station and fuck me.”
“Then why don’t you just say so”?
“You impossible.”
He rushes me into his office. We have done it here so many times before, but this time it’s different, this time we husband and wife, this time our bodies belong to each other.
The look of hunger that passes across my husband’s face sends excitement stirring in my core. Everything about what we are about to do comes like a rush over my body. A shiver runs down my spine.
“Off or over?”
I pull my dress as far as I can around my waist. The room is warm, but goosebumps from across the bare of my arms. I feel so vulnerable being so exposed. But my husband is standing close to me, his warmth never leaving my side; the presence of him comforts me.
A moment later, he presses a cool champagne glass into my hand. I lift it to my nose and smell the sweet aroma of the bubbly drink. I lift the glass, and we toast to our union, to a promise for forever, and unconditional love and a love beyond any boundaries, pure and true.
“To us, my baby.”
“To us.”
His tongue is in my mouth, and it erases all thoughts of doubt, all fear of rejection; he is searching and dueling with mine. The relentless pressure of his mouth on mine is intoxicating. I want more than anything at this moment for his cock to plunge into my pussy. I curb my impatience and play this moment out as many times that I have done so before. The vision and sensation of us collapsing exhausted from us making love. I take him as my husband, and he takes me as his wife.
“We better get to our own wedding party.”
“But you have not made love tome yet.”
“We have got the rest of our lives.”
“Tyler.”
“Yes, I know that is cheesy.”
We get to the tavern, and practically everyone is there. Even my poor punching bag Clara. She was not really invited, but I guess now that Tyler is mine, I might as well forgive her
She is the first to come walking up to Tyler and me, “Jenna.”
“Clara.”
“I am not going to lie, but I really hate you right now, but I also wish you guys the best.”
“I will take that as a compliment.”
“Tyler is lucky. I don’t know what the poor man would do without you.”
“I am going to take that as your way of wishing us well.”
“Now, if you excuse me, I have a phone call to make.”
“Sure, I probably have to mingle anyway.”
I look around, trying to find Tyler. I find him speaking to Sandra. She gives me a big hug as I walk up to her. “Hey, Mrs. Moore. How does it feel to have finally landed our hot sheriff?”
“Not sure will have to find out later when he has shed all his clothes.”
“Jenna!” Tyler nearly jokes about his drink.
“What? I tell Sandra everything, especially that thing you do with your hips.”
“Jenna!”
“What?”
“I need a girlfriend to trade tips and tricks.”
“It’s bad enough that they hear us. Now you tell them how we do it as well.”
“It is only Sandra.”
“Sandra is the local gossip column around here.”
“Stop being so dramatic; I am only pulling your leg.”
“I know what else you can pull.”
Tyler pulls me in for a kiss, it is not gentle, but it is not rough.
I look down at his slightly parted lips, and we both lean into each other in slow motion, never breaking eye contact once. My heart skips a beat, and my knees get wobbly. He curls his hand around my neck and tangles the other in my long wavy hair.
Our lips brush softly against each other, so delicately they almost feel leek butterfly wings. He pulls away for a brief hesitating moment, not wanting to let go of me of the moment. His lips seemed to mold the shape of mine. His hands curled with mine as if they were just must for me. He tastes like passion, like pure unrestrained passion, and I want more.
Then we begin to close the gap even more than before. What begins as a small peck becomes more passionate. The rest of the world spins so fast that it becomes non-existent. I lean even further into him, and my body melts into him. It is as if I can feel a fire blazing within me, out of control. We are completely and utterly in sync at this very moment.
Everything about him is perfect. The sheer softness of his hair as I run my hands through it. The taste of whiskey that lingers on his lips. His breath warms my cheek. The way he plays with the hair at the back of my head that tickles my neck.
He presses his lips against mine even harder. Lightning passes through me. I feel lost in a different universe, and he is slowly taking me away. His cold hand creeps from my neck down my spine and pulls me closer. His touch makes my body shiver. His delicate, innocent kiss makes my heart flutter. Then it races. My body surrenders. Every time I let go, I go back and kiss him again softly.
After what seems like being away for hours, we part and put our foreheads together.
“If you don’t stop that, then I am going to have to drag that sexy ass to the bathroom.”
“Don’t invite me twice; I will kick every asshole in there out.”
“Talking about the bathroom, I have to freshen up.”
I look into those deep browneyes,
“I love you.”
“I love you even more.”
I turn around and make my way to the bathroom. At the end of the hall, I can see Clara on her phone. When I enter the bathroom, it is completely empty. Standing in front of the mirror, I decide to touch up my lipstick just because Tyler likes it. I don’t really pay attention to the door opening behind me.
Then I hear a familiar voice speak.
