Selena is standing in front of the dark passage.
“You are not sending me in first, are you?” Selena smiled sheepishly and when they nodded, her smile died off. With the act she put up there, she has no choice but to obey now, does she?
She slowly turned around and looked carefully at the passage. A hand pushed her from behind, making her take a step into the passage. It smelled bad and wet in there. Selena noticed that the floor is solid thou as if it’s made out of cement or wood. Not even a few meters, she stretched her hand to her back and pulled the first thing she could grab. Orion came thudding her back, laying his chin on her shoulder. His breathing was shaky as they all focused on the front. Step by step, she went forward. Cold sweat from anxiety dripped down her chin.
It was pitch black and she couldn’t see anything. A sudden metal clanking was what needed to make her turn around to run away and bump into something hard. It was Xavier and he held her shoulder and turned her around to walk further. A few more meters and the temperature of the air around them started dropping, a breeze of cold air swept against her face. Selena’s vision getting clearer and clearer as a little light came through. In her vision, a man was standing ahead of her, a few meters at least. She could only see him shadowy.
“Oh my god, there is someone here” she whispered and Makeala came to her other shoulder
“Really, where?” She whispered in return and Selena pointed ahead, slightly to her left. A sudden knock fell on her head
“Ouch!!!” Selena
“That’s Zaden, you freak” Makeala steeping in anger.
He must have slipped past her, to her front as any alpha would, protecting their pack. She felt a great relief and a sprinkle of courage as she paced faster. They finally walked out of the passage into a cave, a very tall and vast cave. Their presence spooked bats, hanging upside down on the cave walls, and started flying around with screeching sounds. Selena grabbed Zaden’s shirt on the sides of his waist and hid her face on his back. Orion raised his jacket to cover her face and his other hand was holding her arm across. Zaden’s hands stretched to his back, making sure she is hidden behind the boundaries and his other arm covered his face. Selena is in a safe embrace of the two men.
The bats flew crazily past them. Makeala was embraced by Xavier and Sitka as they had crouched to the ground. After everything has calmed down, Selena peeped from behind Zaden, inspecting her surroundings. She stepped out a bit more bravely, making Zaden roll his eye and sigh out. She was looking for an opening.
“It’s over there, shorty” Zaden mocked her, making her snap her head at him with anger when she noticed a scrape on his cheek and tried to touch it, making Zaden hiss. She pursed her lips
“Serves you right for calling me shorty” she huffed and walked away.
The opening was behind a huge rock, a few meters up a bunch of rocks, so, at 5. 2 feet, Selena couldn’t see it. She had to start climbing for her to see the opening. Zaden being at the front, climbed up first and turned to give a hand to Selena. Orion, Xavier, Makeala, and Sitka followed one by one. At the opening, a thick curtain of vine cascades, making it hard to see outside. Zaden slightly moved the vines with a finger and the other hand holding Selena’s hand, tightly. He peeped out. It looked safe but still, Zaden turned around, grabbed Orion’s hand with his free hand, and placed it over Selena’s shoulder as he looked over her to others, giving out an instruction
“Wait here, I’m going to check the surroundings first.” He then walked out without looking back at Selena and Orion held her shoulders tight. It took quite some time that they started feeling anxious.
Zaden came back and instructed everyone to follow him. They walked out and the first thing Selena saw was the camping zone she mentioned earlier. Zaden was way ahead of them and they rushed to follow him. There was a path that went far out of the forest. They walked the path, for about 30 minutes till it ended up on a roadway. From the roadway, they can see a town, the one that Orion took Selena and Jeffry before, to make phone calls and buy dresses. From the brick house, it will take 6 hours by foot, 3 hours as a werewolf, and 2 hours by jeep to get here. But via the passage that they had found, it will take only 45 minutes for a werewolf to get here. It is the fastest secret passageway to the outside world.
They have gathered at the phone booth and looked around for a while, studying what shops are there, signs of other werewolves or rogues, anything suspicious, and such. When none was found, Zaden signaled to go back when Selena hold his arms with both her hands. She can only grab his arm completely by combining both her hands.
“Zaden…hmm…can I make a phone call, please?” her eyes were literally begging him and she was saying a million prayers in her heart that he wouldn’t refuse her request. Zaden didn’t realize how much she must have missed her family and friends that it made him itch with guilt. He sighed out and grabbed her hand before placing his wallet in her hands.
The leader’s pack stood a few meters away from the phone booth, with hot coffee in paper cups, talking about miscellaneous stuff. Selena called her dad, then Jewel, then Jeffry who was with Noah and Oliver. It took her over 30 minutes to wrap up and she came running out with a wide grin.
“Done?” Zaden asked, she nodded frantically
“Let’s go” Zaden grabbed her hand and they started walking towards the cave.
Back at the communal room, Grandpa Kai was surrounded by the leader’s pack and Selena. They explained to him what they found. Grandpa Kai sighed
“Back when we first came here, there was only one village. The mountain was vast and only the first 5 mountains were our territory. When the prophecy of a Samrat’s heir came to the surface, The King focused his search mainly on the mountain region. There was a rumor about passageways dug up by Samrat’s army to enter mountain regions without being noticed, a way to send spies and retrieve information safely. If necessary, their army’s entry point to attack. In both my age and your father’s age, we searched every inch of the mountain but we found none. I guess you found it.” Grandpa Kai said and Zaden nodded gently.
“And the rogues turned it to a way to bring poached animals out. Great…We have to find a way to close the passageway” Zaden said with certain clarity.
“But the passages are rumored to be cast with a spell so that no werewolf or other magical creatures will be able to detect it. How did you find it?” Grandpa Kai asked and all of them panned at Selena, who have successfully found her tub of chocolate ice cream and busy scrapping the bottom.
After the meeting, everyone went out minding their own business. Zaden was still there, leaned on a table. Selena at first paced towards the door but before she could walk out, something struck her and she turned back to Zaden. She came standing next to him as her tiny soft fingers caressed his scrape wound
“Does it hurt?” her innocent eyes made him numb and he shook his head ‘NO’. He held her hand and started fiddling with her fingers.
“You shouldn’t have stood in front, unarmed like that…” she mumbled a piece of advice that may or may not have entered his head since he is so preoccupied with her fingers.
“By the way, you don’t need to buy chocolate and ice-cream everyday…” Selena said, he let out a chuckle.
“You eat way too much sugar than actual food. Do you know that?” she nodded frantically with a smile and he chuckled more.
“Meet you at 11? You won’t be late, would you?” the softness of his tone stayed between them, never to be heard by another soul. An Alpha that turns putty in a woman’s hand is not always cute.
“No… I will be on time” Selena said and there was a pause.
“After this 15days issue…We can go visit your dad every week… sometimes I go to city more than once a week, so…” he whispered and she nodded.
“Do you regret coming back?” she shook her head no
“Do you…ever want to go back?” he whispered with hesitation, leaning too close to her and she dropped her vision to his chest, thinking for a minute.
“Hmm…sometimes…Ouch!!!” she just got a pinch on her hands
“Get lost,” Zaden said coldly before moving away from her. She stuck her tongue out and walked away but just before stepping out
“But I never wanted to stay away…” she said loud enough for him to hear and resumed, making him smile to himself.
As per the plan, Selena came out of the house at 11pm and Zaden was waiting for her around the rose edges. White t-shirt and light blue jeans, with his leather strap branded watch, a grey boots. Selena froze for a minute as this whole thing looked familiar, reminding the first dream she had with her dream crush. He extended his hand for Selena to grab and she did with a dead pan expression. They started walking away.
Through the firefly field, each step paced slowly, as a tiny burst of firefly rose up incoherence. Selena bit her lower lips with a smile, bedazzled at a few fireflies that managed to rise up to her eye level. She didn’t notice, but Zaden was doing the same too, only not at the firefly, but at her.
“You look beautiful today…” he finally spoke, making Selena stiffen her back.
“Excuse me…Since when have you started giving nice compliments?” She asked with a frown and he smiled.
“I won’t lie. You look nice when you smile but you rarely smile, so do the math” Selena said as she squinted her eye. Offended, he pulled her hand, making her crash into his arms, standing really close to him. Her cheeks rubbed against his arms as she looked up at him.
His eyes admired every bit of her face. The suffering in his heart is becoming more and more inevitable, day by day. He needed Selena as much as his wolf needed her’s. He is aching to touch her, to sit her on his lap, to kiss her without sexual consequences, to love her like there is no tomorrow– her, as in Selena, his soul companion and not the naughty wolf. The fear of rejection is not to be overseen as well. Her wolf had accepted him, doesn’t mean she would. he shrugged it off, not wanting to waste this moment.
He pulled out the other hand that was in his pocket and out came a small piece of chocolate. He gave it to Selena
“That’s it?” she huffed out
“You said chocolate, you didn’t say specifically how big or how small” Zaden smiled. She shrugged with a sigh, unwrapped it, and plopped it in her mouth.
“Can I ask you something?” Selena said, in her usual low sweet voice. Yes she rambles but only when she panics, yes she is childish but she has her own pain too, yes she is sarcastic but she knows where to stop. But not even once, has her voice became unbearable or naggy to Zaden.
“Ha, finally. I thought I brought the wrong girl with me” Zaden mocked her and she pushed him playfully by his arm
“You said you are sure Ozrain is coming. Why are you so sure?” Selena questioned and Zaden fiddled with her fingers, stalling.
“Because… he has been looking for you for 200 years…I don’t think he would give up that easily. I know I wouldn’t if I ever had a baby like you. So, he would definitely know that you are here and when he does, he won’t waste any more time” Zaden said
“What will happen when he does come?” Selena had to ask
“Frankly, I don’t know… if he wants to take you away, nothing can stop him”
“Except for me…” Selena’s voice changed into a deep, sexy voice and Zaden snapped his eyes at her.
When he saw the black eye and the killer smile, a sense of freedom surged him. He pulled her by the neck and kissed her passionately. The silent night of the woods is now bombarded with his kissing sound.
“Oh baby, you have no idea how long I have waited…How long I have to control the urge to kiss you” she giggled
“And now you are free to kiss or do whatever you want…” she said as her fingers circled his chest. She then unbuttoned her black shirt, eyes sharp on Zaden as he watched bit by bit of her body revealing. She shifted into her wolf once the undressing is complete. Zaden did the same and ran with her.
They reached lake Khalifa within 15 minutes and shifted back to the semi. They resumed their kiss, with Zaden cupping her jawline. He moved to her neck, sucking vigorously, making her moan.
“She made me kneel to her today. Now, it’s your turn to kneel in front of me.” Zaden said and with her eyes fixated on him, she shuffled to kneel. He slide his palms behind her neck and thrust his now erect manhood into her mouth, gazing at her eyes with every thrust, each growing deeper and deeper and deeper. Another hand had come up, caressing her jawline gently, contradicting his other movements. Her gagging and gasp opened a new level of pleasure for him as breathing deepened with every thrust. “SELENA!!!” she screamed, cursing her other half for putting her into this situation. He smiled like a Satan before turning her around and thrusting her from behind before she could even kneel. She struggled to get to her knees and when she did, it became even much worst. “I am not sorry…” he said in low voice making her chuckle. His eyelashes grazed her skin as he blinked abnormally, confusing Selena. He then kissed her abdomen, again and again. Her soft smooth skin felt like a baby’s blanket. She-wolves are generally very pretty but Selena was surely an exception. After a long silence, Zaden spoke
“Does she love me?”
“I can’t speak for her…” Selena
“I’m not asking you to speak on her behalf. Consider it as information sharing.” She giggled, her fingers running through his hair
“I don’t know” Selena
“Does she love anyone else?” Zaden
“It’s Selena. Of course, she loves everyone…” Selena
“I mean does she…”
“Shu…you have the whole morning to talk to her about her likes and dislikes. I have only hours, before the break of dawn and between your ravaging desire. You have to ask her yourself if you must know…now, let me enjoy my alpha…” with that she cupped Zadens face and pulled his lips by her teeth. A low growl rumbled through him and there goes another round of savage lovemaking.
