Sunny’s POV
I woke up because someone keeps on knocking on my door. “Sunny! Sunny! Wake up there!”
I sat up on my bed and reached for my glasses. It was mom. I wonder what does she wants from me again. I stood up and walked towards my door, and opened it. “Mom, how many times do I have to tell you that—
“Jared is waiting for you downstairs.”
“Tell him I don’t—W-What?!”
“Jared Knight! That pop star who sent you home once!”
“Yeah I know, I know! W-Where is he?”
I immediately ran downstairs without even thinking about how I look or remembering that I just woke up. I saw Jared sitting on the couch while scrolling through his phone. “J-Jared.”
He put his phone inside the pocket of his black jeans and stood up as he looked at me. A huge smile appeared on his face as soon as he saw me. “Sunny. Good Morning.”
“G-Good Morning. Err… do you need something?”
“Nothing. I would just like to ask you to go with me somewhere i-if you have time?”
My eyes widened. “H-Huh?”
“I don’t have any shoots today and I don’t have anything to do so I thought maybe I could go somewhere with you.”
I glanced at my mom first. “It’s alright, sweetheart. As long as that somewhere is not an enclosed room with a bed and closed doors. You know what I mean, right?”
“Mom, Jared and I are just friends.”
“Well, I’m just making sure. By the way, have you washed your face, already? I doubt you already did.” Said, Mom.
That’s when I realized that I just woke up and I haven’t even washed my face yet. I gazed at Jared, and he was giggling. This is embarrassing…
“I-I’ll just take a bath,” I said before I ran upstairs with my face as red as Rudolf’s nose.

“Your mom looks exactly like you,” Jared said while we were inside his car.
“Really? Many people have said that I got my dad’s looks.”
He smiled. “Really? But I think you really look like your mom.”
“Hmm. By the way, what came into your mind to ask me out today? Do you need something from me?”
“Huh? I already told you a while ago, right?”
“I thought you were just being shy because my mom was there. That means you just feel bored today?”
Jared nodded. “Yes, and I also wanted to be with you.”
I quickly averted my gaze, since I suddenly felt awkward. Why does he keep on saying things like that these past few days?
“We’re already here!” Jared cooed as he stepped out of his car. I was about to walk outside, but then he opened the door for me and guided me to step out of it too.
“T-Thank you.” I mumbled.
I roamed my eyes around the place where he took me. “Amusement Park?”
“Uh-huh.”
“Tss. I didn’t know you’re a childish man.” I teased him.
“Well, at least now you know! Hahaha!”
I just laughed. “You’re crazy.”
“I know! Hahaha! Let’s go now, Sunny! Let’s try all the rides!” Jared suddenly said as he grabbed me by the hand and dragged me towards the Ferris wheel.
“H-Hey, wait! D-Don’t drag me!”
But he didn’t listen to me. He continues dragging me until I almost fell to the ground. I didn’t know he’s so childish, getting so excited over riding a Ferris wheel. Why do people around me so childish? Do I really have to act like a nanny all the time?
“Come on, Sunny! Let’s ride the roller coaster next!”
“W-What? Do you really want me to die?! I won’t ride that! I won’t ride that even if you pay me one hundred million!”
“Come on now, Sunny! Please! Let’s ride it even just once!” he pleaded.
I shook my head. “No.”
“I will treat you any food that you want.”
“Any food?”
“Any food.”
I heaved a sigh. “Okay. As long as you treat me grilled beef.”
“I will! Let’s go!!”

“I didn’t notice it’s already six in the evening,” Jared said when we’re done riding all the rides in that amusement park.
I was catching my breath. “Now I feel really dizzy after riding all of that.”
“Hahaha! I’m truly sorry Sunny.”
“This punk.”
“But anyway, I really enjoyed it. Thank you for going here with me, Sunny.”
I scratched the back of my head. Why do I feel so awkward whenever he gets serious?
“Well, that’s for saving me from those witches the other day.”
“Hmm. You know what? It’s the very first time that I got here. The very first time that I got to experience riding those rides. Since I was a child, all I did was to go on different shoots, different shows, all I did was obey my parents and work hard even though I didn’t really know what that means and why I was doing all of that.” I couldn’t help but stare at him while he was talking. He looks so serious, but I could also see the sadness in his eyes. “I tend to be envious of other children whenever I see them playing outside, doing things that a child ought to do…”
I smiled as I patted his shoulders. “At least you got to experience it now. How does it feel?”
“It feels really good. I had so much fun.” Jared smiled at me.
“That’s good to hear.”
And because we were busy talking while walking, I didn’t notice that there were some kids playing basketball nearby. They tossed the ball up in the air and I just saw it flying towards me. My eyes widened as I saw it coming to me. I closed my eyes and waited for it to land on my face.
“Sunny!”
Seconds have passed, and I didn’t feel any ball on my face. I slowly opened my eyes only to see Jared standing in front of me. He was staring at my face. He was so close to me I could already feel his breath.
My heart started beating incredibly fast, and I wasn’t able to move my body. I was just staring at his face.
