Once Yanis returned to her room, she hurried to open the closet to choose a dress, but found nothing suitable.
Finally, the dress that Coco had brought her that day at Zain’s house caught her eye.
She took out the dress and stood in front of the mirror and looked at it.
-Do I have to take it?
After thinking about it for a while, Yanis decided to go straight to the mall and buy a new one. But then she remembered that she had asked Jack to transfer the money to Zain and now she was broke.
Yanis glanced at her bank account balance and realized that she only had 20 euros left.
“can I use a little bit of store advance, no way! The store money is meant to be saved to stock and pay staff, if I’m going to ask for an advance every time I run out of money, what am I going to have to stock and pay my staff with then?”
With this in mind, Yanis dismissed the idea.
After Brisa left the house, Yanis quietly ran up next to Mateo.
-Dad!
Mateo was reading the newspaper and looked up when he heard his daughter’s voice.
-Yanis? Are you looking for your mother? Your mother is out.
-No, I’m looking for you.
-Me? -Mateo hurriedly put away the newspaper on the coffee table with a rather serious expression, “Is it something important?
Seeing Mateo like this, Yanis found it a little difficult to talk about it. Although she had said she didn’t want her parents’ money when she first opened the store, her parents had secretly contributed some of it for her. Yanis knew, of course, that they had saved over the years, but she was an adult now and was too embarrassed to ask her parents for money.
-Yanis?
Yanis smiled and shook his head.
-It’s nothing, you seem to have gained a little more gray hair lately, so if you’re tired, let’s cancel the takeout service at our store.
Hearing this, Mateo immediately refused his request.
-How does that work? Isn’t the money you make on takeout money? I don’t have to work now, so if I don’t help when I go to your store, what am I doing? Don’t say things like that so I can retire in peace, if I sit still every day, I’ll eventually become paralyzed.
-But delivery boy is a very tiring job…..
-That’s enough, if that’s what you’re going to say, go back to your room and leave it, I can’t hear you.
Having said that, Mateo covered his face with a newspaper and refused to communicate with Yanis.
-Dad!
Mateo continued to ignore her.
Yanis had no choice but to return to his bedroom. Looking at the clothes in the room, he ended up putting on the ones he usually wore.
As she walked out the door, Yanis thought, “why change all of a sudden if she was normally like this?” Zain was willing to be with her, so that meant he could accept her as she normally was. Though she was striving to be better to be worthy of him. But the gap between people was sometimes very large.
With what Zain had achieved in his career, she feared she wouldn’t catch up in her life.
Thinking about it, Yanis became a little sad again and ended up going straight to Zain.
Zain read Yanis’ message ten minutes after she sent it.
When he saw the message she sent, he instantly frowned and called her directly.
Yanis crouched down, looking a little lost at the scene before him.
It was clear that the place was this way, but he couldn’t find it. There were many villas and he didn’t know which one it was. He wanted to call Zain directly, but realized it was a bit early and not what he had originally planned.
She couldn’t wait to see him, but she was afraid of disturbing him.
After thinking about it, Yanis just sent him a message.
After waiting a few minutes with no response, Yanis was glad she hadn’t called him, otherwise he would have woken up.
So, he simply found a place to squat down and looked at the grass in front of him.
He didn’t know how long he waited, but the phone vibrated and it was Zain calling.
Yanis’ heartbeat quickened and he picked up the phone.
-Hello?
-Where are you?” called Zain as he walked out the door, his eyes searching around.
-Are you awake? No need to look for me, since I didn’t get your answer when I knew you were still sleeping, so I stopped by the street so you could get up and get cleaned up before….
-raise your head.
Yanis froze and looked up to see Zain not far away, dressed in casual clothes and bathed in the morning sun, his hair slightly disheveled because he hadn’t had time to fix it.
He had his phone in his hand and his eyes fell on the girl’s face.
-Wait for me.
Yanis then watched in amazement as Zain approached him.
It wasn’t until the man approached her that he responded, standing up as he laughed awkwardly.
-How did you appear so quickly? Turns out I was so close that I didn’t know exactly where your house was, so….
Halfway there, Yanis suddenly felt a little dizzy and his whole body fell forward uncontrollably.
Zain came out in time to grab her arm and pull her into his arms.
Yanis’ head crashes against Zain’s chest.
-What’s wrong with you, have you been squatting too long?
Yanis closed her eyes and nodded nonchalantly.
