Sunny’s POV
There was a grand staircase at the entrance of the mansion, it was high-ceiling with a crystal chandelier hanging. In the living room, there were five women who stood up immediately upon seeing us. They were all wearing big smiles on their faces while looking at us. “Here she is, give her dresses, fix her face and comb her hair.” Damon suddenly said to them, obviously pertaining to me.
Fix my face? What does he think of it? A clogged sink?!
“These are some of the well-known hairstylists, make-up artists in the country so you better go with them.” Damon then said to me. “This is Sunny.”
I forced a smile on my face as I looked at them, “G-Good Evening.”
“Hi, Miss Sunny! Tonight, we’re going to change your whole identity!” said one of them while doing some unnecessary hand gestures.
“I-I don’t want to change my whole identity though…” I mumbled.
“Just call me once you’re done, I’ll be at my room.” Damon said, “Make sure she’ll look like a real human being.” He said before finally leaving.
“H-Hey! What do you think of me, an animal?! You jerk!” I yelled which made the women behind me laugh so I glared at them and that stopped them.
They grabbed me by the hand as if they are already going to execute me, “Let’s go now, Miss Sunny. After this make-over, we’ll make sure you’ll look far more different than you are now!”
Yeah, right. So basically, they are saying that I’m ugly as fuck.
We went inside a room which is almost as big as my room plus my sister’s. It was so huge but so full of mirrors with large wooden tables in front of them with different pink boxes on top which I know are all full of cosmetics because my sister has so many of them. They made me sit on a stool and I saw how dark my eyebags are. They took of my glasses and my sight began to blur because I’m completely blind without them on.
They started putting different itchy powders on my face while someone is doing my hair. Now I’m blaming myself for getting into this shit. For sure Mira’s going to tease me again after seeing this. Actually, when I told them that I’m going on a dinner date with Damon’s parents tonight, they almost exceeded the happiness of someone who just won the lottery. Then my mom began telling me to be prim and proper, and be careful not to show my boyish side. She told me to always wear a smile on my face while talking to them, wouldn’t that be creepy?
Then, dad, he told me not to stay in the same room with Damon. As if I would agree to be in the same room with that asshole.
“Here it is, the new Miss Sunny Peruvian!” the stylists said as they spin the chair around which caused me to face the mirror. My eyes automatically widened upon seeing a hazel brown-eyed girl staring back at me. She was wearing light pink lipstick, a light blush on her cheeks, and light pink eye shadows which made her look simple yet pretty with her black as ebony straightened hair falling perfectly down her back. “W-Who is this w-woman?!” I asked them which made all of them laugh. Do I look like a clown? They’ve been laughing at me since I entered this house.
“That woman is you, Miss Sunny. The new you.” The other one said to me then smiled. I glanced once more at the mirror and stared at my face again. I touched my eyes, nose, then my lips. Is this really me? That can’t be… the last thing I know I only look like complete trash. They made me wear contact lenses just so I wouldn’t have to wear my glasses anymore.
I couldn’t really believe what happened to my face so I had to make different funny faces to see if the reflection on the mirror would do it too. The retarded people behind me kept on laughing. “Now Miss Sunny, the last step would be to find a perfect dress that would suit your make-up!”
“H-Huh? O-Okay…”
Then there they are, dragging me inside a walk-in closet inside the makeup room. How many rooms do they have? And all of them were so big! Just like this walk-in closet, it’s full of dresses and different types of footwear. I wonder why there is a woman’s closet inside that demon’s house. Oh my God, don’t tell me he’s gay?! I knew it! He’s gay!
They made me try at least fifteen dresses I guess, and I was so exhausted walking out from the closet and showed the fifteenth to them. They stared at me for a while, glanced at each other then looked at me again with big smile on their faces, “PERFECT!” they all said in chorus.
I was wearing a white off-shoulder bishop sleeve floral organza maxi dress. Then they also made me wear heart-shaped golden earrings which perfected the look especially with the help of the white stacked wedges which I don’t really feel comfortable wearing. They just made sure that everything is fine already then, they finally made me sat on a couch in the living room while calling their gay boss. I roamed my eyes around the living room, it was a high-ceilinged room all the way to the top. And there was also a pair of imposing bookcases climb all the way to the top of each side of an enormous chimney breast. So, this is how rich he is, his house looks like a palace already. A glass palace since its walls are all made of glass. I wonder if they’ll break once I try to hit them with a stone.
“There is your princess, Sir Damon!”
I suddenly heard the voices of the noisy stylists again from behind me. I heard footsteps coming from behind me and so I stood up. The moment that I was about to turn around, I didn’t remember that I was actually wearing a wedge which caused me to accidentally slip at my own feet. I closed my eyes as I fell until I suddenly felt someone’s arms around me. I opened my eyes and then I saw the face of an angel staring back at me. He was wearing a black button-up shirt and his blonde hair was slicked back, god, he almost looked like Leonardo DiCaprio.
“Oh my God, I think they just fell in love with each other.” I heard the stylists mumbled again and so that’s when I came back to my senses and realized that it was not an angel but a demon, holding me close to him. His eyes widened and I saw his cheeks slowly turning red as he suddenly let go of me, and because he was holding me as I was about to fell onto the floor, I automatically fell directly to it. “O-Ouch!”
“S-Sorry…” he mumbled then turned around as he spoke again, “P-Prepared yourself, mom said that they’re already on their way now…” he said then finally walked out. I glared at him while standing up, “Damn you, devil.”
