Calvin took a few deep breaths, “I said I was here for you!”
“No! You’re not!” I grinned, finally understanding everything.
The reason Calvin came to me was just because of that ring which symbolizes family and belongs to the heir. I kept it carefully over the years.
I understood the whole story and wiped my tears. Although I was disappointed and sad, I tried my best to hold it in.
Trying to keep my voice calm, I whispered, “Now I’ve given you back the ring. You can leave after you take it. I’ll forget what happened!”
“Can you really assume nothing happened?” asked Calvin through clenched teeth.
“Don’t worry, I won’t say anything.” I closed my mouth .
“Good, very good!” Calvin clenched his fists, trying to contain his anger.
“Wow!” My eyes widened instantly and I struggled desperately, trying to push Calvin away.
He was actually forcibly kissing me again! “Forget? You want to forget? How can it be so easy? You took my heart six years ago and now you’re being irresponsible! ?”
What is he saying? He’s saying I took his heart six years ago? What the hell is that supposed to mean? At that moment Calvin let go of me, he pinched my chin, his voice filled with disappointment, “Why won’t you believe me? Just because I love you but you don’t love me?”
I looked at him.
“I’ve been in love with you since I met you on Yellowstone Park six years ago, not because of the ring!” Calvin was getting angrier, and finally he was able to voice what he had suppressed in his heart for many years.
“But-” I was surprised, I couldn’t believe what he was saying.
“You don’t believe it? You want me to open my heart to show you?” Calvin got even angrier and ripped open the collar of his shirt, revealing his strong chest.
I bit my lip, but became even more confused.
“If it wasn’t for you, I might have died then!” Calvin’s eyes were full of pain, and his voice became quiet, as if he was suppressing an indescribable emotion.
I wanted to say something, but finally I said nothing. At that moment, I was too shocked to think. Is he really that person… But…
“Why won’t you just believe me?!” Calvin cruelly squeezed me in his arms, almost crushing me.
“I, I’m so confused, give me some time!”I feel my bones breaking, I hug Calvin tightly.
“I’ve given you enough time! But what did you do? You completely ignored me!” Calvin relaxes slightly, but doesn’t let go.
“You said you wanted to get married, I wanted to marry you, but damn it, you turned me down!” Calvin snorted.
I frowned. “I didn’t love you then, why can’t I reject you!”
“Back then?” Calvin realized abruptly, his eyes suddenly lighting up, and he grabbed my shoulder. “What about now? Now you’re in love with me?”
I was shocked, and then my heart leapt wildly in my chest, “No!”
“Look at me and say it again! As long as you say no, I won’t bother you again!” Calvin suppressed his excitement and deliberately cooled his voice.
I bit my lip and turned away from him, but there was anger in my voice, “No! I don’t love you! You can let me go!”
Silence. I didn’t look up, but noticed Calvin slowly lowering his hand. He took two steps back, and I turned to look at him.
In the silence, I noticed Calvin had reached the door. My hands were quietly pressed to my sides and my eyes were closed. Then I heard the door open. He was finally leaving. I was just disappointed, but at the same time I felt myself relax.
It’s over, is it finally over? Very good, I can’t take this kind of suffering anymore. “What do you think?” Why hasn’t he left yet?
“Do you really want me to leave?” Calvin frowned. “Why? Why can’t you follow your heart and accept me?”
At that moment, Calvin had walked up to me and was looking down at me.
“Because I hate you!” I lowered my head.
“But, I love you!” Said Calvin with a serious face. Suddenly the tears rolled down again desperately ,
“You don’t like me at all! Don’t you think me cheap, then why do you bother me!”
“You’ll insist on finding someone for many years to come, and you won’t fall asleep for someone’s smile! Do you?” Calvin grabbed me by the shoulder and said viciously.
“Yeah, I know I’m not worth that much money. I’ll have to sleep with you a lot more to pay it off.” I yelled.
“Do you really want to sleep with me?” Calvin was very angry. He grabbed me by the chin and literally said, “Well, I want you to sleep with me forever!”
“Why!” I glared at him. “We’re married, so it’s legal for me to sleep with you!” said Calvin coldly.
I don’t seem to understand what he means by that!
“You don’t understand?” Calvin pinched my face and kissed me quickly on the lips, “I love you! I love you! What is your heart made of, why can’t you see everything I do? !”
I pulled the corners of my lips together and turned my head away.
“I know I’m a bastard, I know I’ve done some things wrong, but I’m not a god, and I’ll make mistakes too, because I love you so much, because you mean so much to me!” Calvin’s tone relaxed a little, , “I’m sorry, forgive me, OK?”
I still lowered my head, but because I had cried too much, I was choked by sobs.
“How can you forgive me?” Calvin held me tightly, he took my hand and slapped my face, “You hit me, as long as you’re not angry, you can do whatever you want!”
I quickly squeezed my fingers together and pulled my hands back, “Why would I hit you? My hands hurt when I hit you.” Calvin saw that I was finally ready to speak, he smiled and let go of my hand,
He slapped himself.
“Hey! You’re crazy!” I quickly grabbed Calvin’s hand .
“Are you crazy?”
“Don’t touch me!” I turned my head and dodged.
“Okay, don’t be mad anymore, I will listen to you in the future, I will never make you mad again!” Calvin hugged me tightly and gently kissed my neck. “Go away, don’t touch me! I haven’t forgiven you!” How could I be angry, but my pride wouldn’t allow me to accept Calvin’s apology so easily.
“Then how can you forgive me? As long as you say it, I will!” said Calvin seriously.
“Wait, I didn’t expect that!” I said angrily.
“Fine, I’ll wait.” Calvin wrapped me in his arms, I struggled desperately,
“You, what are you doing? I’m angry!”
Calvin squeezed the back of my head and went to kiss me.
Before the kiss came, Calvin heard an angry shout, “What are you doing?!” I too was taken aback and turned my head, I saw Grandma Gloria standing angrily at the door staring at us. When did the door open? I stopped. Before Calvin could say anything, Grandma Gloria shielded me behind her back.
When Gloria saw my red and puffy eyes and tears, she understood what had happened without asking, and she slapped Calvin on the back, “How dare you bully her!”
“Grandma, I -” Calvin tried to explain something, but Grandma wouldn’t let him get a word in edgewise.
“Alexia, what happened, Grandma help you!” Gloria hugged me warmly and patted my back comfortingly. I just wanted to talk but sobbed, “Okay, okay, don’t cry. I knew something must have happened.”
“Grandma, what you saw is not the truth!” Calvin saw that I kept crying and didn’t give an explanation!
“Shut up! Come out with me!”
“Shut up! Come out with me!” Grandma Gloria slapped Calvin’s hand trying to help me and walked out. I know Calvin is staring at me, but I’m not explaining anything, I want Grandma to teach him a lesson!
Calvin hurried to catch up with Grandma. After they left, I relaxed.
I’m so tired, I really want to rest. I blushed for a moment and fell asleep.
On the other hand, “You tell me what’s going on!” Gloria stomped angrily.
“Grandma, things are a little complicated, but you can rest assured, I didn’t do anything bad, sit down.” Calvin looked at Grandma worriedly and helped her sit down.
After all, it was her own grandson, and Grandma wasn’t really mad. She sat down on the sofa and then she saw the ring on his hand.
“You found the ring?” Grandma Gloria looked at her intently and exclaimed in surprise, “It really is an heirloom ring!”
“Yes, I found it!” Calvin nodded, took the ring off and handed it to Grandma. Grandma held it in her hand and took out the magnifying glass again. After looking at it for a long time, she finally breathed a sigh of relief,
“Yes! It’s a real heirloom ring! Calvin, didn’t you say you lost it? Why did you suddenly find it again?” Calvin blinked his eyes. Of course, he didn’t want to say that he had given me the ring back then.
At this point, he was very ashamed. That heirloom ring was a big burden for him, so he didn’t hesitate. When he sent it away, he naturally had other thoughts.
“Grandma, I found it anyway,” Calvin said in a low voice. “Hmm!” Grandma handed the ring back to Calvin. I slept for an hour and woke up. As soon as I turned on the phone, it rang. It was Calvin. “Why didn’t it ring until now?” Calvin said discontentedly. “No!” I muttered.
Calvin fell silent, his voice softening, “Come here.” “No!” I declined directly, “I’m hanging up now!” Then I didn’t wait for a response from him and actually hung up the phone.
I have Grandma Gloria to help, I’m not afraid of him now!
I was about to call my mom when I heard the doorbell ring and Ella yell from the room, “Honey, open the door!”
