Yanis was apprehensive as she entered the elevator.
He tried to control his nerves. After all, she had only come to make a delivery as a gesture of apology and gratitude.
Before exiting the elevator, Yanis took a deep breath.
The elevator doors opened and Yanis saw a strange woman.
-Hello, is this Miss Yanis?
Yanis nodded uncertainly.
-Megan’s secretary sent me, come on.
Yanis heard Megan’s name and followed the woman, she didn’t have to worry about anything unexpected in the Nelson Group anyway.
The woman led Yanis to a room.
-Please wait here for a moment, secretary Megan will be here soon.
-Thank you.
Yanis looked around, it was a large room with sofas, a coffee table and even a wine fridge.
It should be the Nelson Group’s reception room.
The reception room Yanis had set up for Alice’s company was much worse than this one.
Five minutes later he heard footsteps.
-Yanis.
It was Megan, looking very elegant in her professional suit and high heels.
Yanis stood up and smiled, -Hello, Megan.
-It’s really you, I wasn’t sure on the phone,” said Megan happily.
Megan and Yanis were not personally related, but they knew each other well because the latter was a good friend of Alice.
-Yes,” Yanis nodded a little shyly.
She was going very simple and energetic with her ponytail, an orange top and jeans.
Megan even thought she looked like a recent college graduate.
-You’re here to see Zain, aren’t you?
Megan’s words made Yanis blush.
-But he’s still in a meeting.
Yanis waved her hand hurriedly and said, -All right, I’ll wait for him here, I guess you’ll be busy too.
-Yes, I made an excuse to leave, and now I have to go back to the meeting.
Yanis apologized, -I’m so sorry.
-Never mind, you can play on the computer if you get bored, look, there it is,” said Megan.
-Okay, thank you!
When Megan left, Yanis was left alone in the reception room.
Normally, these large group meetings last at least a few hours, if not a whole day.
Yanis didn’t know how long she would have to wait, but the thought of how much the group had missed made her think she should wait.
But the noodles he had brought would be mushy by then….
Yanis then slumped down on the couch in some frustration. After a while he started surfing the web, but still none had arrived.
It had only been an hour.
Yanis then closed the door, took off his shoes and lay down on the couch.
He covered himself with his down suit and went to sleep.

Meeting room
After the meeting, the company leaders left, Zain got up and headed to the office. Megan tidied up the paperwork, noticed Zain was missing and hurried to catch up with him.
-Mr. Zain.
-What? -Zain slowed down.
-Miss Yanis has come to see you.
-When? You should have told me earlier,” Zain frowned.
Megan, curious about Zain’s reaction, said purposely, “Being his secretary, how can I interrupt such an important meeting?
Zain did not answer and quickened his pace.
-Where is he going? -Megan caught up with him.
Zain didn’t go to the office, obviously.
-To see Miss Yanis?
-Please,” Zain stopped. Have you finished your work?
-No, but I have to tell her that Yanis is in the VIP reception room.
Zain looked at Megan coldly.
Megan was not startled by the look, but smiled and said, -And he brought you some noodles, but I don’t know if it’s too late for you to enjoy them.
Zain was speechless.
-Then, I’m leaving.
Megan turned and quickly disappeared.
Zain stood for a while debating whether to change secretaries.
She was no longer intimidating to Megan.
Then he headed for the VIP reception room.
