AUBREE’s POV
“Aren’t you tired yet?”
I turned to my back to see the person who spoke
I saw Gavin. He’s smiling. His smile is contagious.
“Kind of.” I said.
“I can ask Sam to finish this rehearsal. She will understand that you just landed and went straight here.”
I can feel his concern.
I think he already moved on. Based on how he approach me.
I just shook my head from that thought.
Seems like I no chance with him.
“No I’m good. And I think the rehearsal is almost done.”
“If you say so. Water?” He handed me the bottled water.
“Thanks.” I said then I accepted the water her offered.
“Do you really want to go back to Paris?” He asked.
I turned to him again. This time he went beside me. He seriously looking at me and waiting for an answer.
“I declined the offer because it already served its purpose. But when I landed here, I realize that its more peaceful in Paris than here in the Philippines.” I just told him.
And I don’t have any reason to come back, I already lose you completely. I want to add that but I felt shy.
What right do I have to blame or accuse him, I was the one who left him. All he did is loving me while I always taking him for granted.
Maybe I deserved this. Because I became so selfish. I only think about myself. I never considered his feelings.
And if he’s already happy with Sheena, even if it hurts I should be happy for him. I will not meddle on them.
“Maybe you already have someone that is why you want to go back there?”
I can sense jealousy in his voice. Impossible. He already moved on.
“Someone?” I asked.
“Boyfriend or special someone?” He said.
I shook my head. “I don’t have a boyfriend nor someone special in Paris. All I did there is to focus on myself and my career. I told myself before that this time I will do things for myself and not for other people.”
“I’m glad to hear that.” He said.
I frowned.”What?”
“I’m glad to know that you finally start doing things for yourself and not for other people.” He explained.
“Oh I see.” Then nodded.
“Why? Did you think that I’m glad because you didn’t have a boyfriend in Paris?” He said teasingly.
“Of course not!” I denied his claim.
“But it seems like I’m right base on your reaction.” He grin.
“Of course not! You are so cocky!” Then I rolled my eyes.
He chuckled. “Fine. If you don’t want to admit it.”
“Hey! I’m not-”
“Fine if you say so.” He cut me off and laughed at me.
“You are so bully!” I hissed.
“When did I bully you?” He said still laughing.
“Whatever! I leave you here then!”
“Sensitive!” He said still teasing me.
The coordinator called us, I immediately went there. Sam was beside me now.
“You and Gavin look sweet earlier. Are you guys getting back together?” Sam start teasing me.
“There is no chance for us now because someone already owned him.” I said a bit pissed.
“Are you sure?” Sam said seems like she meant something.
“What do you mean?” I asked seriously.
She just shrugged.
But knowing Sam, maybe she’s planning something. And I won’t go for it.
Gavin seems happy now and I don’t want to meddle with him and destroy the happiness that he has now.
And also I think he already sees me as a friend, no chance to be more than that.
Maybe that is really what’s best for us.

This is it!
It’s Seb and Sam’s wedding.
I always imagine myself, walking down the aisle while seeing Seb waiting for me.
But so many things happened. Still I am walking down the aisle seeing Seb waiting but not for me anymore.
I never imagine myself that I will this be happy knowing Seb is marrying someone else. But look at me now, smiling at him, genuinely happy for him.
And looking at the back of him, is the man I want to marry. But sad to say, just like Seb, I think I will just see him waiting for someone else in the aisle.
Maybe love is not for me.
Maybe I should just accept that fact.
The wedding went smoothly as expected. And now they are giving their vows to each other.
Hearing them giving their vows, I can’t help myself but to look at Gavin.
Surprisingly, I caught him looking at me too.
He didn’t averted my gaze. He just kept looking at me feels like his eyes wants to say something.
I miss him so so much.
I want to tell him that I am now ready. I am ready to love him fully.
That this time, he will be my only priority.
I won’t think of other people because I will think of him first.
But I am too late now.
Gavin wasn’t able to wait for me.
I am not blaming him though. I knew I was the one who pushed him away.
No one should be blame but me.
I smiled at him and look back on the couple who was about to give each others kiss.
During the reception the coordinator ask us to give our message to the lovely couple.
Gavin gave his message first.
“Sam I’m glad that finally you got what you always wanted. Though I’m very vocal that I don’t like him for you.” He started his message.
“Woah” People shouted.
“But who am I to stop you guys right? He may hurt you so many times, but we all know that it was unintentional. And now I can see how he treated and love you. So now to make it official, I am giving you Seb, my approval.” He added.
I saw Seb mouthing ‘thank you’ to Gav.
That made me smile. I also knew that fact. I’m just glad that he already accepted him for Sam.
I knew Sam has a special place in his life.
Then the host called my name.
“I will be very honest. I never expected this to happen. Seb marrying someone else. I always believed that Seb is my destiny. But things happened, and we ended it this way. True enough, change is inevitable.” I started my message.
“I am very happy that finally, Seb achieved his happily ever after. And I am more than happy knowing that he will spend his lifetime with Sam.”
“I knew how much she love Seb. I thought before that I was the one who waited for him, but I was wrong. The one who truly waited for him was Sam. Silently loving Seb even if it hurts her. Being with Seb when he needed her the most.”
“Seb is so bless to have you as his wife. Thank you Sam for loving Seb, for not giving up on him. Thank you.”
Sam smiled at me and just like Seb she mouthed ‘Thank you’ to me.
I can’t stop my tears from falling. Seb went to me ang hugged me.
“Thank you Bree. I believe that just like me, you will have your own happily ever after.”
