After they showered, Vivianne lay sprawled on the sofa like a limp vegetable. She was still in her bathrobe, her hair soaking wet, but she couldn’t muster the strength to stand up anymore.
Beckett had promised earlier that they would just take a shower. However, they ended up having sex in the bathroom, and it wasn’t just one round. There were many.
Most of the time, she was standing, so her legs were now trembling.
She gave Beckett a glare, and he felt it even though he was facing away from her while drying himself.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Beckett asked without turning to face her.
“You said, just a shower!” Vivianne snapped.
“I said that, but you’re the one who requested me to enter my cock inside you,” he chuckled.
“You tricked me!” Vivianne retorted before sitting properly on the bed. “Y-You made me feel good!” she stuttered.
Beckett’s words were true. When she was lost in pleasure from what he was doing, she was the one who suggested they do that. And because of that, Beckett now teased her about it.
Beckett faced her, still with a grin on his lips. “Really? I made you feel good?”
“Oh damn, he’s handsome,” Vivianne cursed in her mind, because even though he had just showered, he still looked extremely attractive to her.
Well, he won’t be called the Nation’s Perfect Guy for nothing.
Lost in her thoughts, Vivianne didn’t notice that Beckett had already approached her. He lay her down on the bed and placed both his hands on her head so she couldn’t escape.
“It’s not my fault that you got turned on while I’m putting soap on your breasts,” Beckett said as he lowered his gaze to her cleavage. “Or… is it my fault if I just want to give you a bath?”
“G-Get away from me!”
“Make me, baby.”
Vivianne attempted to push Beckett away from her chest, but she was immediately halted when he kissed her.
She automatically closed her eyes before gripping Beckett’s clothes tightly. Vivianne kissed him with the same intensity. She was ready for wherever they would end up because she enjoyed it when they did that.
But Vivianne was surprised when Beckett suddenly pulled away from their kiss. He stood up and pulled Vivianne to sit down.
“Rest for a while before fixing yourself,” the man said before removing a few strands of hair from Vivianne’s face. “Just call me when you’re ready. I’ll just take care of something,” he added before leaving completely.
Vivianne just stared at the closed door of the room, wondering if… her husband just left her hanging.
A few minutes later, Vivianne had fixed herself. She was wearing a yellow sleeveless crop top with ruffles on its sleeves, paired with a plain yellow skirt below her knees. Her makeup was simple, but she made sure all her features stood out.
She went to the living room, and there she saw Beckett typing on his laptop.
“I’m ready-”
Vivianne didn’t finish her sentence as Beckett turned to look at her. She was surprised at how Beckett looked. He was also in yellow, wearing a yellow polo shirt and black denim shorts, making them look like they were wearing shirts with the same color theme.
“Light colors really suit you. Your fairness stands out even more,” Vivianne commented as she observed her husband.
“Oh, please. Just admit that you find me handsome,” Beckett replied with a grin before shutting down his laptop.
“As if.” Vivianne rolled her eyes, and even though what Beckett said was true, she wouldn’t admit it.
After a while, they left, and Vivianne almost screamed with joy when she saw their first destination: Canal Grande and Rialto Bridge.
“Wow! It’s so beautiful here!” Vivianne exclaimed before handing her phone to Beckett. She positioned herself near the boats and posed. “Take a picture of me, quickly!”
Beckett just shook his head, but he still followed Vivianne. He really couldn’t understand his wife’s mood. Sometimes she’s grumpy, and sometimes she acts like a child when she’s too happy.
But he loves all her personality and imperfections. He loves Vivianne just the way she is.
“Let me see!” Vivianne said before taking her phone back from Beckett. Her smile widened when she saw how beautiful she looked in the photos. “Now, it’s your turn. Pose there!”
“I don’t want to,” Beckett replied.
Vivianne chuckled. “Well, maybe you’re just tired of the camera, huh? If you’re not doing a photoshoot, you’re still acting in front of the camera. Your whole life, you’re in front of the camera.”
Beckett didn’t respond. Instead, he guided Vivianne to board the boat so they could see the view better. Vivianne followed, but she couldn’t shake off what she said to Beckett earlier.
‘Actually, we’re in the same situation,’ Vivianne thought to herself as she looked at Beckett, who was quiet while observing the surroundings. ‘We’re both enduring things we don’t really like.’
“Vivianne,” Beckett suddenly called her, interrupting her thoughts.
“What?”
“Look.” Beckett pointed in front of them.
Vivianne turned to look, and she was stunned by what she saw. The Rialto Bridge was right in front of them, and it looked even more beautiful up close than from a distance. Another thing that added to the beauty of the place was the stunning sky.
“Wow…” the girl exclaimed in amazement as she looked at the sky.
Everything felt like a dream to her. She couldn’t believe it was still possible to be this happy. She thought her life would be filled with sadness and hardship.
In a short period of time, from then till now, Beckett changed her perspective. The man gave her hope that one day she would only feel happiness, and sadness would be gone.
“Thank you…” Vivianne said while looking into the man’s eyes. “Thank you so much. You have no idea how happy you’ve made me today…”
Beckett smiled back at her. He held her by the waist and pulled her closer.
Beckett pressed his lips on hers as soon as they crossed the bridge. It was breathtaking, and at the same time, that beautiful moment was captured on camera. The photographer who was with them in the boat happened to shift their attention to them and took a photo.
“Ti amo,” Beckett said, and his kiss landed on Vivianne’s forehead. “Ti amo così tanto, Vivianne Kaye Allamino-Clainfer… Mia moglie.” [I love you so much, Vivianne Kaye Allamino-Clainfer… My wife.]
Vivianne just smiled and blushed in response.
They then went to Palazzo Barbarigo Minotti. If Vivianne was already happy earlier at Canal Grande, her happiness doubled when they arrived at Palazzo.
There was a performance inside, and Vivianne loved those kinds of events. That’s why she also pursued event organizing before. Vivianne just loves something that can spark the creativity inside her.
And come to think of it, Beckett was taking her to such places now.
“Why here?” Vivianne asked before turning to her husband. Her voice was curious, but the smile never left her lips.
“Because I want to see you smile,” Beckett said, never taking his eyes off Vivianne. “God knows that I’ll do anything just to keep that smile on your face. So smile often… because it looks good on you.”
