Chapter 29

Book:The Villainess Went Back Time Published:2024-5-1

I went back inside of the room and after moments of patiently waiting, my father arrived instead of Madame Creld.
“Papa!” I shouted happily and run off to him. He immediately stepped forward to greet me too.
“Do not run!” he warned but it was too late because my foot got tangled with my other foot. Before I could even meet the ground, my father fastly reached my place and caught me and aided me.
He picked me up before I completely meet the ground and lifted me unto his level before staring at me.
“I told you, not to run. Did not I?” he asked coldly but still, I can sense the warmth between those lines. I just gave him a big smile.
“But you already caught me, Dad. That is fantastic!” I reasoned out that lifted up his spirit a little before letting out a sigh.
I wiggled my feet signaling him to put me down and he did. He held my hand went out of the room.
We were on our way to the waiting area where my brothers were already waiting but then, an unforseen encounter happened.
“Dad! It is her!” Dad and I were stopped midway from walking after hearing that rude statement. We looked at the other paralleled hallway and saw the Duke with his son, tugging his coat while pointing at our -my direction. His father looked like he was just forced by his son.
“I told you to just let it pass- Duke Zachrono? Is that you?” the other Duke asked in surprised after seeing my father. Grent quickly looked up to his father with shock visible on his face.
“He is D-Duke Zachrono, Dad?” Grent asked stuttered in a low voice. He looked like he was nailed from his position, dumbfounded. He was not expecting that I’m the daughter of the cold Duke, eh? I can see how scared he was while looking at my Dad but he was trying to hide it. Tantamount to that, I can see excitement.
He really did not changed a bit. He was still the same Grenchant who admires my father and at the same time, hate him as ever.
My father only nodded at his co-Duke. How cold, Dad..
Duke Gabriela, Grent’s father approached my father and they chatted should I say Duke Gabriela chatted him while my father were not responsing?
Because of Duke Gabriela, I got separated from my father. They were friends, by the way. Though, Dad was normally cold but he still have some good friends.
Grent sneakily approached me when both of our Dads walked evenly, chatting or must I say, woulduke Gabriela telling stories to my father’. And leaving us behind.
When he arrived infront of me, he blocked my way with his widespread arms and threw his last glance to our fathers whose already a little farther away from us before facing me.
“You!” his index finger was pointing to me again which he had been used to do. “Me?” I asked and pointed at myself.
“You!” he repeated his self again that made me almost laugh because of him. Grent never fails to make me happy but annoyed at the same time from the past up until now.
“Yes?” I asked smiling and I saw how he was smitten. His mouth opened as if he wanted to say something but he after thinking for a second, he shut his mouth and decided not to say it.
“Y-you’re nosy and I’m not ugly!” he told me instead while his face reddened, maybe from embarrassment? I just shrugged my shoulders at him and tilted my head on the side. Patience is virtue, self.
“Do not smile!” he nagged and I did not know for what reason.
“Why?” I asked curiously.
“Y-you’re ugly!” he hesitantly blurted out. Huh?
“You’re the ugly one.” someone said from behind me. I immediately looked behind me and I saw the third Prince wearing his bored expression again. He waz just a little higher than me like Maxwell but Grent was much higher.
Wait. Why was he still here? He should have left early.
“You again!” irritation was visible on the Duke’s son’s voice. He was like a fierce dog who was ready to charge in and bite the Prince any moment. I was startled when the Prince put his hands on my shoulders and pulled me back towards him.
I could see my own expression mirrored in Grent’s, on how my mouth gaped just like him because of the unprecedented manner of the Prince.
“Stay away from that kid, you might caught his talkativeness.” the Prince said boredly. Huh?
Looks like Grent would not let himself get beaten without a fight because he also held my wrist and pulled me towards his direction. I almost stumbled on his sudden tug but I immediately gained my balance.
What was happening here? And how did I get involved with their fight? Ugh.
I just wanted to be with my family so how did I ended up with these two?
I finally saw how the Prince’s expression changed from bored to annoyed.
“Do not touch her.” he said with authority and pulled me on my other wrist but Grent did not faltered and tightened his grip on me. I jolted because of that before they stared at each other ang pulled me from left to right to their side.
I almost lost my footing because of their sudden tug but that did not happened because they were both holding my wrists tightly.
“H-hey! S-s-top it.” I could not say it more loudly because I was feeling dizzy from their tugging.
“Lat go of her!” Grent said as he pulled me again.
“No. You let go of her.” His Highness said and tugged me to his side with all his force that he also made Grent almost lost his balance. My eyes twitched because of that.
Ugh, my arms. I feel like it was going to be ripped off from my body on the way he pulled me. For Grace’s sake! I’m on the body of a child!
“You!” Grent said, almost mad and also pulled me with great force. I almost stumbled if it was not for His Highness, holding me on the other side.
“Stop this!”
“No! Unhand her!”
“Could not you see that she wants to be with me?”
“In your dreams!”
“Why do you not ask her?”
“No! Whatever her answer is, She should go with me!”
“Do not force her!”
“Let go.” the Prince commanded so seriously.
“YOU. LET GO” Grent also said with authority. They stared again at each other and they almost wanted to punch each other’s face.
I was in between them and so I silently prayed that they would not get me involve with their unworthy fights.
I’m starting to get irritated when unknown hands olso held both of my forearms and a deep, cold, gloomy voice echoed on the hallway without needing to shout. “YOU. BOTH. LET. GO.” it commanded from behind me that made me jolt and had goosebumps.
