I start counselling myself by saying Katie get over with it.. it was just a dance offer nothing else its better this way what if you made fun of yourself while dancing and disappoint daddy. Also you should feel good that in whole world a handsome guy offer to be his dance partner and also called you pretty two times… and what even he found Emily more beautiful and graceful than you because its true you are just awkward.
I try to block all my Alex moment and enter the kitchen to look what mom need
‘yes mom you called’.. I said
She briefly looked at me and said
‘Kate I want you to look after all this food serving process I don’t want any mismanagement every thing should be perfect and make sure every guest get cocktail time to time’
I feel so happy that moment that mom trust me with all this
I replied mom I won’t disappoint you will be very happy at the end of the night’… I said Brightly.
Mom just look and said ‘OK we will see’
So all this night I make myself busy and some how forget about Alex but then the society girls came to take cocktail from the waiter and look at me with an arrogant look and said
‘ oh look girls its our half Evan doing serving job’ they all laughed loudly. BITCHES!
The waiter give me embarrassed look and I just ignored all of them… then out of know where Alex come take a glass and said my name.
‘Kate is it… hmm… look I’m sorry that I forget about that dance moment although I should not because we were clearly going for a dance but still I’m so sorry’ he said
I just smiled shyly ‘ its OK Alexander im really OK and secondly it was better I didn’t dance because clearly I might have embarrassed you with my dancing skills’ I laughed
Alex just stare at my face ‘ but still it was rude and its due to me that I will dance with you at similar occasion like that and its my promise to a very pretty girl’ he smiled and kissed my cheeks lightly and I just felt butterflies in my stomach with that smile.
