Chapter 134: Island

Book:My Sexy Boss Published:2024-5-1

I WOKE to the chirping of a bird to be heard from the young man. I narrowed my eyes and glanced at Rexon’s bed last night. It was no longer by my side but the smile never left my lips.
It’s hard to believe what happened, but there’s only one thing I know is true. He is no longer angry at me.
I pulled out the clothes that hung on the closet door and walked out the door onto the small veranda.
My lips agape when I notice the Island right in front of me. The sandbar also seems to be an advantage of the Island.
“Wow!” I couldn’t help but say.
“You’re awake.”
I turned to Rexon who now seemed ready to tour the entire Island. He was wearing a white polo shirt and khaki shorts dyed with brown topsider shoes.
He immediately hugged me from behind and kissed me on the neck.
“It’s nice here, Rex,” I said softly.
“You’re much more beautiful than this, my love.” He gave me another kiss on the cheek as he parted my runaway hair slightly.
I bent down, unable to catch his attention.
“Breakfast is ready, I brought you some dress,” he whispered.
I thought it was going to go away but he pulled my cheek closer to him before kissing me on the lips.
Damn, Cher! You’re not brushing yet your teeth!
My cheeks almost blushed when he let go.
“I love you…”
I bit my lower lip, what should I answer? Until now I’m ashamed of him ’cause we have a conversation like this.
“Is there no answer?” He pulled me in front of him and wrapped around my hip with both arms.
“I love you too,” I whispered.
“I didn’t hear you.” He grinned causing his even teeth to come out.
Oh, Cher, why he’s so damn intimidating? I still feel ashamed because of this handsome man.
I squatted down and put my mouth to its ear, “I love you too, baby,” I whispered again.
He kept hugging me. I could hardly breathe because of more of his hug.
“Go take a bath. I have something to show you.”
I took a quick shower and put on the clothes he had prepared for me. It’s a maxi dress paired with a cream colored hat matched with white sandals.
Rexon was patiently waiting for me at the upper deck where the food is well set in. I immediately went to the table.
“How did you find this place?” I asked while eating an omelette.
“Some of my friends recommend this Island. Actually this is Peter’s hometown,” he told me.
The smiles faded from my lips and I looked down at the food.
I heard hid grin and gently pulled my right hand away. And then I slowly look up is him where I met his warmed eyes.
“I don’t want you to feel bad about Hannah, we were just friends. I’ve clarified everything to us.”
Clarified? So, she does really have a hidden desire for Rexon?
I felt his grip tighten on my hand so I nodded slowly. Is it obvious I’m still jealous of Hannah? How did he feel when Nicholas kissed me at the fashion show in New York? I don’t think I have the right to be jealous after all.
I’m not the only one who’s upset in this relationship. We both suffered from heartbreak and pain. So it’s not good if I’m still jealous of Hannah.
I squeezed his palm and smiled at him sweetly. “I’m so excited to tour the Island!” I said delightedly, to ease the conversation.
His lips curved into a soft smile and nod. We both finished eating and were ready to disembark the yacht
I first went to the sandbar which seemed to be a few meters long from the beach.
“Do you like it?” he stood next to me and looked out along the sandbar.
“Yes! Thank you,” I whispered with a wide smile on my lips
“This is just a piece of effort compare to what I can give you.” He pulled my hip closer to hers. And I slowly lift up my chin to meet his dark serious eyes.
He grabbed my chin and barely squeezed it, “Stop that kind of stare, Mrs. Del ‘torrre, I might not be able to stop me.” He warned me.
The redness immediately rose to both my cheeks and I gradually looked back at him.
I could feel my heart bombing hard inside my chest, as well as the pressure and the excitement that runs through out my nerves. Did I hear right? He called me Mrs. Del’torre?
Until he pulled my hand back to shore I still couldn’t breathe. Is this for real? I’m not really just dreaming anymore. The man almost everyone adores is now in front of me and holding my hands.
I was just a simple woman then, working at night, sleeping in the morning. Just being able to supply Dad’s medicine needs makes me happy. But my world turned upside down when Rexon entered my life. He changed my formerly quiet lifestyle.
He gave so much color to my life. The pain, the joy and the love he gave me made me realize that life doesn’t require perfection. And to this day I still can’t believe I’m the one he chose to love despite our life gap.
While walking I couldn’t help but look around at the busy people around. Some were carrying flowers and chairs. I also notice the amount of tourists here even though the Island is not yet fully developed.
“Let’s stay here first while we wait for Dawzon to arrive,” he told me, when the door of the bungalow style house opened.
My face lit up as I faced him, “You mean, Logistic is going here?”
He tapped my head and he nod.
He pulled me inside where the equipment was simple and straightforward. It was just right for the simple vacation I wanted.
The whole room painted with white colors. The natural color of the wood and tables has not been changed which has added simplicity to the whole house. The windows are quiet simple with white blowing curtains. Even the veranda is distracting because of the beautiful sea view.
I walked to the veranda and breathed in the fresh air brought by the sea.
“I have an important call to make, I’ll be back later.” He quickly touched my cheek and then turned around to leave the bungalow.
I looked back at the beach where people seemed to be flocking.
Maybe there’s nothing wrong with going for a walk outside?
I didn’t see Rexon outside so I decided to head to the beach. Because it was only around eight o’clock in the morning, the heat was not yet painful on the skin.
I saw our yacht not far away. Next to it are two other yachts that are also named after them.
My eyes widened, does that mean Dawzon is already here? The Logistic? My eyes rolled quickly but I didn’t recognize anyone familiar with me.
I continued walking until I saw the seemingly community not far from the beach. Also from here I have a view of the hotel at the top of the hill. Maybe they stayed there instead of in the row of bungalows here.
“Miss. Cherry?!”
I turned to the voice of the woman who had called me.
I smiled even though I was not familiar with them.
“Are you here too? Ah – Can I take a picture?”
My smile widened even more and I myself stepped closer to it and took it on my shoulders for the picture.
“Thank you! I’m one of your fans.”
“Thank you…” I didn’t take the smile off my lips.
“Can I ask a question? Are you still with Rexon?”
My cheek heats up and I slowly nod. There is nothing wrong with me admitting the truth.
“Really?!” She sparrows grew at what I said.
I nodded at her again and attempted to walk away.
“Eh, I saw him earlier with her rumored girlfriend at the Paradise hotel, Hannah? She came from here.”
