“Sure why not!”
I scroll on my phone down to the song and hit play. I scurry across the floor and get into position. This is one of my favorite routines, I’ll never forget it. The girls entered the room and sat against the wall.
As I danced across the wood floor I forgot all about my gift and the people that are looking for me, I forgot about Raf and my dad. I felt free.
The music stopped and I finished off in my ending position. I turned to the girls and they all started clapping.
“Your way better in live action!”
“We better go before Madame Stahl gets angry, thanks for showing us your routine.” The girls stand up.
“No problem, thanks for watching.” I thank them and wave as they go back to their class. I picked up my phone from the floor and checked the time. It’s 3:55 I might as well go. I collected my things and left the practice room.
On my way out I waved to the old lady at the front desk and headed to Tyler’s car. As soon as I got outside I looked up and saw a police officer on the phone writing a ticket.
“Hey hey stop!” I ran to him and tapped on his shoulder. “What’s with the ticket?”
“Ma’am you parked in a handicap parking space and there is no disabled parking permit displayed.” The officer barked at me.
Crap! I didn’t even notice that it was a handicap space!
“Look I’m so so sorry, I didn’t notice,” I beg.
The officer sighed and slapped the ticket in the hood of Tyler’s car. “Just be careful next time, I could have got you towed.” He warned.
“Thank you so much! I will!” I call to him as he gets back in his cop car.
I grab the ticket off the hood and scan it. 260$! I’m dead, I stole his car and got him a ticket! At least he didn’t tow me… Or else I don’t even know what would happen.
I took the ticket and climbed in the car. I really don’t want to tell Tyler, what if he breaks things again. I don’t think he would be more worried about the money than his baby.
I drove back to the pack house with my nerves on edge. I pulled up to the house and got out of the car. My feet slowly tapped against the cement as I tried to waste time and think. I quietly peeled the front door open and peeked through, it’s clear. I crept into the kitchen and leaned against the counter, how do I hide a ticket?
“Anna, your back.” Katy sighed completely relieved.
“Ya… So?” I mutter trying to act normal.
“Someone called Tyler and said that they had you in their sight, that they saw you dancing in the studio. They told him that you weren’t coming home.” She panicked.
Someone was watching me! Oh, goddess that’s just creepy as hell. But why didn’t they attack me?
“Where’s Tyler?” I breathe out.
“He went out with a bunch of guards to find you. I’m going to let him know that your back.” Katy left and rushed to Tyler’s office to call him.
Someone was watching me and I didn’t even know… They must have followed me to the studio. How did I not notice?
All I wanted was Tyler to tell me it’s alright, I want him to remind me that he’s protecting me. I should have told him I was going to the studio.
“I called him and he’s on his way back,” Katy assured me.
“I got a ticket,” I mutter, but my mind is somewhere else.
“How?”
“I didn’t notice it was a handicap spot, I didn’t notice someone following me.”
Katy’s face softened and she pulled me into a hug. “Anna it’s fine, you’re so distracted with all this Lycan business, I wouldn’t notice either.”
Suddenly the front door bursts open and Katy pulls away. Tyler rushes to me and pulls me into him, his strong arms wrap around me and I’ve never felt safer.
“Anna please stop scaring me.” He begs as he breathes in my scent.

After my nice hot shower, I pulled on my robe and crawled into my bed covers. I turned on the TV and the bride show I watched in the doctor’s office was on. I relaxed as I let all the stress of today seep out of my bones. Tyler had to catch up on the work that he missed to come find me, so I had some alone time.
My phone beeped on the side table and I picked it up reading the text.
From: unknown
Having fun with Raf?
I stared at the message, who was it from? How did they get my number? Was it a joke? Who is Raf? I tossed my phone on the bed like it had cooties and I was in second grade. Ugh, can I not get a break from the drama? I didn’t respond to the message, should I show Tyler? I didn’t want to bother him, it’s my fault he’s behind on work. I took a deep breath calming my nerves and placed my phone back on the bedside table after I deleted the mystery message. I grabbed the remote and turned the TV off. I should probably go to sleep, I might be going crazy. I got up from the bed and turned off the lights, the only light in the room came from the moon as it shines through the window. I climbed in between the covers and attempted to relax. I knew I wasn’t going to get any sleep knowing someone texted me about Raf, the killer in the woods. Maybe I should ask Jackson and see how he reacts to the name Raf.
Just as I start to get comfortable I hear a loud crash from downstairs. I immediately sit up and slowly peel the covers off me. Is someone breaking in the house?! I tiptoed to the door and peeked into the empty hallway, I slipped through the door and peered downstairs from the staircase. Another crash rung thought the house. I quickly rushed down the steps and sprinted to Tyler’s office.
“Tyler I think someone’s trying-” I burst through the office door but stop mid sentence when I see Tyler’s desk flipped over and Tyler leaning up against the wall breathing heavy.
