Book:My Sexy Boss Published:2024-5-1

MY BLOOD boiling up as my cheek turns red. My lips parted in shock.
“Who’s that?” Rexon’s face quickly peeked straight over Hannah’s shoulder while holding the wine bottle in one hand.
I had to swallowed hard. My heart almost died as I saw them both inside his unit. I want to regret why I even went here.
“Cherry!” The astonish voice of Rexon roared me back to reality.
“I-I’m sorry…” I quickly turned away from them and took a big steps towards the elevator.
“Cherry, wait!”
I pressed the button one quickly to close the door but he quickly stopped it.
“Cherry,” he said breathlessly as the elevator moved down.
I could do nothing but lean against the pillar and bow. It was a big mistake for me to come here.
He quickly approached me, placing both hands on the pillar to confine me there. He looked down and staring hard at me, “What are you doing here?” he asked in a hoarse voice.
I couldn’t help but look at him because of his extreme closeness.
“I just came here to-” I swallowed hard. Unable to continue what was to be said due to extreme nervousness.
“You what?” he utter huskily. The hot and smelly alcohol of his breath eventually weakened my knees.
“No, I mean… I came here just to say goodbye!” That’s all I could say.
I didn’t expect to see Hannah here. All the words I had sewn up and had to say to him vanished like bubbles because of what had happened.
I heard him gasped heavily. I looked up and the jaw fought a few times before meeting my gaze again.
“We’ve just celebrated her birthday. Jeff and the whole band were there,” he muttered closely.
“Join us, I’ll introduce you to her.”
I chuckled, “No, thanks.”
He slowly moved away from me and leaned on the other pillar. His both arms folded over his chest while scanning my whole body.
“Tell me, what are you up to? If you don’t get Hannah there,” he said in a still low voice.
His eyes are always dark but I notice there is still a natural sparkle and dimness.
“I said, I’m leaving…” I almost whispered knowing that in the air while looking up at him.
“You’re not the type of girl would say goodbye to her ex. It’s not you, Cherry.” He shake his head as a smile traces his lips.
I glanced at the number in the elevator to one floor and we were already on the ground floor. When the elevator stopped I stepped forward to get out but I was stunned when the door did not yet open.
My heart moved as my fingers push button ceaselessly. I turned to Rexon who now straightened up while frowning emphatically.
“What happened?”
He stepped closer to me but I couldn’t answer because I was so stunned.
“What happened?” He stepped to my side and also pressed the button a few times.
I started banging on the elevator door just in case it will opened or, someone could hear us, but nothing happened.
“Give me your phone,” he said when he turned to me.
“W-I didn’t bring anything… I left my bag in the car!”
His lips move a bit, now back to leaning on the wall and re-hugging his arms to his chest.
“So we’ll wait here until someone notices us.”
“What? No way! I need to get home now. My flight is early tomorrow!”
I saw his jaw tighten at what I said and darkly looked at me, “Then, you don’t have a choice, but to wait,” he said in a cool voice.
I shot him a sharp look and just went back to leaning on the wall and trying to calm myself. Even though the truth is I was more nervous that I was with him right inside the elevator.
I looked up at it as he broke the silence, “I’m glad you’re fulfilling your dream.” He shrugged then.
I pursed my lips, I didn’t answer immediately. I knew he was not in favor of what I was doing, especially exposing my body to the public.
“I’m doing this for my family. If they weren’t for them I might not be where I am today.”
“Even if you expose your body in public?” A lace of sarcasm appeared on his lips.
“I don’t see anything wrong with it. That’s part of my job.” I said straight and clear.
“Is your boss also involved in your work?”
I swallowed at what he said. What he said seemed to pierce my flesh. And added to that is his constant dark look on me.
How can I deal from his accusation when I admit that something has happened to Nicholas and me.
I bite my lower lip and look down for a second, and when I lift my face and reach his soulless eyes. Its all me, I am to blame for ruining our relationship. I was the first to give up and he wasn’t.
“About… Nicholas.” My voice was already shaking. Nervous about the possible consequences of what I say.
He remained in his place. The eyebrows met more now when I mentioned Nicholas name.
“Yes I dated him, but… nothing happened between us,” I mere whispered to him.
Shock already registered on his face. I almost held my breath as he quickly settled down and attempted to walk closer to me but I held my breath when the elevator door opened.
