IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL HERE! “Farrah couldn’t help but say as we entered to one of the Night Bars here in Barcelona.
My eyes have adjusted to the darkness. There are multicolored flashing light on the dance floor, but they are not bright enough to reach beyond that.
I wandered around, no ones can see the dance floor, Its wall to wall people dancing at the club.
I caught a glimpse of Nicholas next to me as he touched my elbow. “It’s very crowded tonight,” he whispered, as we make our way to the bar. Some are dancing sweaty bodies press and rub up against me. I don’t mind though, I can’t really avoid getting into a fight.
I didn’t even wonder why Nicholas and I almost hugged before we could even sit down. “Are you alright?” he whispered again.
I beam at him and nodd as my answered.
We both sat on a couch where there was a round table. We were immediately attended by their best seller catalan vermouth and a bunch of snacks and foods. First was the tapa that Dillan’s ordered.
I glanced at the rum cocktail Nicholas had laid out in front of me. “Mojito,” he said to me. I quickly picked it up and sucked from the straw. “Hmm, not bad. I can get drunk it too,” I uttered.
His lip curved with disapproval, “You better not!” he said.
“Come on! This is just once, I promise I won’t get drunk.” I raised my right hand at him.
“Tch,” he shook his head.
I didn’t even pay attention to his reaction because I sipped again the cocktail he handed me. It could have been water in the glass but it wasn’t, a sour and vile taste slipped into my mouth. Nullifying me, and stealing away the reality in favor of fantasy.
I shut my eyes firmly, laid my back against the couch after I got three glasses. Damn! I don’t know that it’s also strong, right? Oh, I’m just not used to drinking?
“Enough with the drinks, you’ll get drunk on that.” Nicholas interrupted as I meditated. I smiled wildly, before placing a hand on his shoulder. “I’m not drunk yet, aren’t you mad at me?” I utterly said, and lick my lips unintentionally.
A sigh of exasperation escaped from his mouth. I repeatedly heard despite the loud ringing. I also noticed that he hadn’t been drinking before, only now I realized that only two of us were left on the couch while some were already in the middle of the dance floor and dancing.
I feel the parts of me that’s really me come out to play, to feel the vibe of the music and my body go free. “You know let’s just dance!” I freely said, then I gripped his hand to pull him up at the chair.
“No, I can’t!” He stopped me.
“Come on, Nick! Let’s go this is our last day here so we should enjoy it!” I yelling, with all my strength I pulled him to the dance floor without being able to refuse yet.
I loudly hear the music blaring as we stand in. I look intently to Nicholas eyes. The glowered tile at the right corner of his lip make my heart throbs.
I smiled at him, “What now?!” I shouted at him. He just kept standing in front of me. Instead of being surprised, I laughed at him and started dancing. My body moves to the rhythm of the music. I continue to dance and spin.
I laugh vigorously, the man opposite me has quite in a bit frozen. His eyes are walking from my hair line to my feet and back up again. “Cherry,” he whispered.
“Hmm?” I lifted up my chin and tried to look at him in the eye… The smoke and flashes of light block between us.
I was surprised when he suddenly squeezed my hips closer to him. My hand rested on his broad chest, he moves his head closer to me. “Stop this, or else-” he paused and clenching his jaw and looked darkly at me.
“Or else what?” Courage I said. I bravery looked up him in the eye. I don’t know where I got the courage to do that. But I only know one. I want it the way I feel.
I was the one who caught his jaw to present it to me. I tiptoed and wrapped my arm around his neck. He stared awkwardly into each others eyes, slowly leaning in. I feel like the world has stopped spinning between us. I also no longer hear any noise around.
“Cherry,” he utter my name, I shut my eyes in anticipation. I knew something was wrong but I stayed in front of him.
When our lips finally met, something like magic ignited. My eyes were close, all the memories of Rexon finding out gone from my mind. Sadly, a few moments later. I had to full away, and what I saw standing behind him nearly made me faint on the spot.
“Rex?” I gasped and utter in astonishment.
I quickly looked back at Nicholas.
“Who is it?” he asked, raising his furrowed brows at mine. I immediately felt even more nervous for fear of seeing Rexon here in the bar.
So I took a step closer to him. Moving my fingers and pressing my hand against his cheek, giving me more support to push myself and connect our lips again.
Nicholas hand slid smoothly onto my arm, the heat seemed to travel through my veins and it sent shiver down my back.
When we parted I quickly felt his tight hug on me but I immediately let go of him.
“I’m sorry… I’m really sorry, Nick!” I apologized. I couldn’t wait for him to speak because I quickly ran away from the dance floor.
I could feel their eyes on me as I pass because Nicholas called me but I didn’t look back. I’m straight out of the Night Club.
I sighed as I reached the outside and looked around… I can’t go wrong! It’s Rexon I saw there earlier. It was him!
I kept shaking my head, “No, maybe he just looks like him or I was just drunk, ” I whispered to myself.
Then suddenly, a long fingers gripped my hand tightly… I lift my head and a sudden gush of pain jolted throughout my body.
His lethal stare pierced my heart away. I could not move immediately. I felt the world stop spinning at my feet as I looked up at the man in front of me.
“Rexon…”
