I MET his gaze which he started to stand up to go out. I was confused to follow him first.
“Ah, Dad, we’ll just talk outside…” I said goodbye my father who was sitting in front of our house.
“Alright, be careful.” He agrees.
Again I had no choice but to follow Rexon who was the first to get in his car. I took a deep breath first before I opened the door and boarded.
I had no idea what we were going to talk about, but I couldn’t help but think that he might charge me for my debt. I took a deep breath in the running of my brain, now I have a problem where I can find the 2. 5 million amount he lent to me.
The car also ran for a few minutes but he said nothing. Even though I wanted to fit myself in looking out the window, I didn’t seem to be able to appreciate what I was going through, because Rexon had occupied my mind.
I was leaning on the backrest when his car entered a restaurant. Out of curiosity I watched him with a frown.
“Let’s have some dinner first, I’m hungry,” he said in his serious voice without bothering to glance at me.
I didn’t ask any more questions, instead I just followed him, after all, my stomach had been growing hungry for a while.
The waiter immediately guided us to a corner of the restaurant, even though I noticed that the people who turned to Rexon he didn’t seem to care.
“What would you like to order, Sir?” The waiter asked us after he offered us a glass of water and cheese cake roll.
“Give us, tenderloin stake and cream pasta,” he answer after closing the menu.
“Your drink, sir?”
“Two glasses of wine, would be better.” Then without saying a word he leaned back in his chair. As I gaped at the running of words to say. It’s also been a few days since we last met and I can’t understand why my heart is beating so fast. I couldn’t help but look at him carefully.
A muscle twitched involuntarily at the corner of his right eye, with arms folded tightly across his broad chest. I refuse to look away, as if I wasn’t affected.
Damn it, Cherry! Calm down! I groaned to myself. I tightly fold my hand under the table and trying to act like normal.
“W-what do you want us to talk about?” I finally got courage to speak, even though I was stuttering.
“Can we discuss this later?” he answered.
He just kept staring at me. I might have melted away from the excessive viscosity of his stare. Thank God our orders is arrived.
We ate quietly even though I could feel the tension between us. He never talk to me the whole time, he was just focused on his food. I was no longer surprised when he consumed the steak as well as the pasta on his plate.
While I seem to have only halved the meal.
“Are you done with your food?” he asked while he slowly wiped his lips using tissue paper.
“Yeah.” I nodded.
Instead of swallowing water, I drank wine. It was just enough to alleviate my nervousness in the situation.
He signaled to the waiter and he approached immediately. After he paid he stood up.
“Let’s go!” he said and walk out of the restaurant.
Though confused I followed him out with a bow of my head. Again we set sail I did not know which direction to go.
After an hour’s of driving we reached a very house. Cars lined up outside and from here I heard loud ringing coming from the mobile sound.
“Where are we?” I couldn’t help but respond.
“In our house,” he replied. He turned off the engine of his car and for the first time he glanced at me.
Immediately, nervousness flooded my heart. The dying butterfly in my stomach seemed to have been given air and was now straining to get up.
His thick dark brows were actually graceful but all of it was framed in frown. He gripped the steering wheel tightly and bent slightly, and that moment I saw him swallowed hard as if there was a burning sensation pouring down his throat.
“Let’s get inside,” he said as he got out of the car.
I thought he would come in first but, he tilted for me to open the door. My eyes winked in surprise because there seemed to be something strange about him before. He looked away before our eyes met.
“Thanks!” I couldn’t help but say.
He guided me inside where the outside of the mansion was already full of people. We grabbed everyone’s attention especially Rexon’s.
“Congrats Rexon!” Meet some guests to him.
“Thanks!” he said given a wide smile. He also received some kisses and hugs from the women who greeted him.
I stepped aback slightly to give everyone a chance to greet him. Surprisingly I didn’t ask why is anyone congratulate him.
“Cherry!” I saw Feli who has holding a cocktail drink.
“How are you? We haven’t heard of you the whole day?” she asked.
I didn’t answer right away. Of course they didn’t know I was fired.
I looked down at what I was wearing so I quickly averted my gaze.
“Just wait huh? Don’t tell me is you day off today?” “Her eyebrows rose at me. I bit my lip so hard because my tongue seemed to recede in response.
“Did you attend Rexon’s graduation ceremony?” she couldn’t stop laughing.
“Graduation?” I repeat, it’s Rexon’s graduation party today?
“You know let’s go inside they’re already there.” When she pulled on my hand but it suddenly stopped and looked straight at what I was wearing.
He quickly took off the blazer I was wearing and then pulled my blouse to tie it up to my navel, she also untied some of my buttons on my chest and adjusted the collar.
“What are you doing?!” I stopped her from pulling out the blazer I was wearing but she held it tightly and hid it behind her back.
“Look at everyone. Your dress is not appropriate to this party!” I followed with my eyes what he was saying.
There was nothing wrong with what I was wearing, another thing I couldn’t afford to wore a sexy.
“I’m okay with my dress.” I held out my hand to her so she did nothing but return the blazer I was wearing while ago.
“Hey, look who’s here?” Porsche greeted me with a tight hug before guiding me to their table.
Mayla and some of the logistic’s staff were also there, my eyes searched for Devon but I couldn’t find him.
I glanced at Jeff’s group on the mini stage setting up their instrument but Rexon wasn’t there.
“What are you up to?” Porsche asked me.
I smiled slightly at her before answering. “I don’t work for Rexon anymore,” I said softly.
I knew how they would react so I just shrugged my shoulders.
“Whatever the reason is, the important thing is you’re here now! So let’s celebrate!” She handed me the glass of whiskey which I have never been able to refuse.
“Thats my girl!” They pour another shot to my glass that I couldn’t resist.
Porsche was still not satisfied. She seemed to want to throw a bottle down at me. So pour another shot and I drunk it.
“Oh, shit!” I closed my eyes tightly because I already felt drunk. My eyes filled with fire, my heavy breathe comes out to my mouth. I also suddenly felt heat so I took off my blazer.
My eyes glanced again at Rexon who was not on the stage. I wanted to tell that I’m leaving because I have an early call time tomorrow morning at the boutique. I couldn’t help but to tour the whole mansion searching for him.
I look over the oval shape swimming pool in front of me. The other side was the mini stage. Some guests are soaked in the swimming pool to bathe. I couldn’t help but glance at some who were wearing only shorts and crop tops while others were wearing swimsuits.
I was just shaken. Is this really how the rich party? I couldn’t quite figure out why I was here. I closed my eyes tightly because I felt like my eyes were rolling with intoxication.
