Andrew assisted the petite Mary to her feet, her body form leaning against his body, and they proceeded forward. From the moment she left the table until their arrival back in her room, she hadn’t opened her eyes, her steps unfaltering, untroubled, void of any doubts. One shoulder of her dress slipped down, revealing her smooth, alluring clavicle.
Once back in the room, Andrew gently laid Mary on the bed, removed her shoes, and placed her purse on the dresser. He adjusted her outstretched arm along the edge of the bed, ensuring her comfort in sleep, when suddenly, she turned, clutching his arm. He glanced over at her figure, as beautiful as a work of art, his heart pulsating erratically, his face flushed yet resisting, as he carefully removed her hand and cleaned the residual stains from her dress.
Mary tilted her head back, seemingly uncomfortable from the warm liquor, her throat parched as she called out, “Water! Water!”
Andrew fetched her a glass, propping her up to drink hastily. But she wasn’t careful and choked, spilling water onto her dress. He used a towel to softly pat the corners of her mouth, lips, and adorable chin, a suggestive thought crossing his eyes once again.
His hand lingered over her lips for what seemed like an eternity, a smile forming on his face as he caressed her soft lips. His eyes, filled with adoration, seemed to desire to absorb her fully. His hand then moved downward, straightening out her dress where it was stained and adjusting her legs to make her more comfortable. With that done, he stowed the towel in the bathroom and was about to leave.
But as he turned, he saw Mary lying on the floor, her mouth muttering something incomprehensible. Unable to resist, he lifted her back onto the bed, only for her to snake her arm around his waist, pulling him closer in a firm embrace, her words slurred. He leaned in closer to decipher what she said, “Don’t! Don’t go!”
He hesitated, his heart pounding faster, coaxing his rationality to heed its advice. He leaned in, passionately kissing her alluring lips, neck, and exposed clavicle. Startled by his sudden advances, she instinctively curled into him. His kisses trailed over her body as she molded herself against him, her hands exploring his muscular chest. His free hand slipped beneath her dress, caressing her sensitive thighs, moving upward as their shared lust escalated, and she could not help but release a soft moan.
Their clothes were hastily removed, and they succumbed to their uncontrollable desire. Mary moved in harmony with the man who made her heart race, his restless hand exploring every position of her body. Their breathing intensified, and her breath hitched from his relentless, prolonged kisses. Their bodies melded together, their hearts beating as one.
In a rhythm all his own, he moved with tender deliberation, each pulse sending shivers down her spine. For the first time, she felt the electrifying waves originating from within her, at times gentle, at other times immensely stimulating. The rhythm escalated. Under the hazy, dreamlike glow of the room, their bodies formed a masterpiece, scripting the sweet melodies of love.
He adjusted their positions for her comfort, their symphony of love echoing rhythmically within their intimate, bliss-filled cocoon. Electric sensations radiated from their intertwined bodies, compelling them to entwine tighter. His arm constricted around her. His breath, subtly tinged with the intoxicating scent of alcohol, was sweet and heady.
Their night of passion unfolded beautifully, born out of their mutual consent.

The morning arrived, with the nascent rays of dawn piercing through the curtains, dazzled Mary. She turned, trying to avoid the light, and recoiled suddenly upon touching something soft. Moving her hand upwards, she recognized last night’s tight shoulder and the lingering feeling.
Mary slowly opened her eyes, astounded that all she had dreamt the previous night was reality. The warm embraces, the kisses…everything was real.
Mary drew the blanket to cover her beautiful form and, leaning on her elbow, quietly watched the man asleep after a night of passionate lovemaking. A smile of pure joy curved her lips as she remembered the previous night’s events. She gently stroked his hair and brushed her fingers lightly over his passionate lips. Unwittingly, her hand paused over a necklace adorning his neck. On the chain hung a ring she had never seen before nor heard him mention. Driven by curiosity, she examined it closely, noticing an inscription inside. As she leaned in to read it better, her hand was suddenly pulled back, and she fell back onto the bed under the weight of the man now on top of her. Mary pouted playfully.
“You scared me,” she said.
Andrew smiled softly, “That’s what you get for waking me up.”
Seeing Mary fixated on his necklace, his gaze darkened, a hint of sorrow lingering.
“This is a keepsake from my mother before she passed away. I always carry it with me. There were times when life was tough, and I was on the verge of losing it, but I did everything possible to keep it. It means the world to me.”
He paused, lost in thought, before continuing, “My mother is an important woman to me, and so are you.”
Andrew removed the necklace from his neck and placed it around Mary’s.
“I’m giving it to you, my heart and my life. Please accept them. Will you marry me?”
Mary’s eyes welled up, on the verge of spilling over with tears of joy. She was so choked up that she could barely speak, merely nodding in silent agreement. She examined every intricate detail on the ring, then planted on it a kiss filled with love and appreciation.
Today was a day overflowing with joy and good fortune. She held him close by the neck, pulled him toward her face, and kissed his lips sweetly.
They were entwined on the bed where they had shared their happiness the previous night. Their bubbling laughter shattered the tranquility of the room. There were no words to describe the whirlwind of emotions that Mary was experiencing. Everything had been quite a surprise from their first encounter to this sudden turn of events. How could she have anticipated the heavens to bestow such a perfect and incredible man upon her?
She yearned for this moment to linger eternally so that each day could be spent embracing peace and happiness.
Happiness, at times, is not an elusive concept. It is simply about those moments spent with your loved one, allowing your heart to sing a lively tune.
