Chapter 961: The Right Method

Book:Married To The Most Powerful Man Published:2024-5-28

Was it too late to love her?
He had never thought it would be too late.
So time passed and he hadn’t said a single word of confession.
She thought she had a chance, but to her surprise… she had fallen deeply in love with someone else before making her feelings known.
Now, she could flirt with him without any emotion of nervousness or shyness.
Nathan didn’t know girls very well, but he knew the basics.
He knew that girls were shy when confronted with someone they liked, but she was not shy at all in front of himself.
Now…
Nathan felt a little sad and pursed his thin lips without another word. His whole aura changed drastically for a second. Before, Yanis had thought he was an innocent man who blushed easily.
Now… he suddenly felt as if he was not a person, but a puddle of stagnant water.
He had no vitality, and gave the impression of being cold.
“What was going on here…?”
Thinking, Yanis unconsciously bit his lip after he obviously felt the change in him, “had what I had just said pissed him off?”
-Hey, I didn’t mean anything by what I just said. I didn’t mean to make fun of you. It’s just that you suddenly leaned in, anyone would have misunderstood.
Nathan looked up and smiled softly at her.
-I’m sorry, I was wrong before. Since your fever has gone down, I will leave you alone for now.
With that, he turned and walked out of the kitchen, and Yanis noticed his movement, which seemed a little….
“Is he running away?”
“No…” Yanis thought.
“What has he done to run away? It’s like something’s chasing him from behind. I just flirted with him, is it that scary? And even he approached me first.”
Yanis felt his heart pound a little harder at the thought of how close they had been.
He shook his head and shivered.
“You idiot Nathan, why did he suddenly get so close to me, we’re friends, but…”
Yanis thought about it and decided that it was okay, he had done it anyway and if he wasn’t embarrassed she wasn’t either.
Nathan left the kitchen and went back to the hotel. After making sure that Yanis was all right, he was relieved.
When he was about to leave, he bumped into Zain, who had come out of his room.
Thinking of Yanis, Nathan looked at Zain again.
He was a man of very high rank. Naturally, he was not comparable to ordinary people. He was handsome and stable. In addition, he owned the entire Nelson Group.
As a man, Nathan thought Zain was excellent.
Let alone a woman.
So it was only natural that Yanis fell in love with him.
What about himself? He was just a little helper. He had nothing, but a terrible scar on his face. How could he compete with Zain when he was so useless?
He was not even qualified to face Zain.
At this thought Nathan smiled to himself, withdrew his gaze and went out.
Zain, who was walking towards the kitchen, probably noticed something and after Nathan withdrew his gaze. He stopped and turned his head to look at the slender but powerful figure.
A moment ago… he had left the kitchen.
As for the kitchen…
Zain bit his thin lips, stopped thinking and headed towards the kitchen.
Yanis had finally finished washing the rice in the pot. He had just calmed down when he turned his head and saw Zain enter. He had been vibrant a moment ago. But now he instantly turned his head back as if in shock, not daring to look at Zain at all.
Then she saw some tomatoes on the table next to her, so Yanis hurried to pick them up and wash them, ready to cut them.
“Well, I get things done and don’t notice Zain.” Yanis thought.
He took the knife and cut the red tomato in half. Then he took one half and cut it into slices. When he heard Zain collecting water, he thought again unconsciously.
Actually, yesterday’s incident was due to her whim.
Zain had explicitly rejected her. He didn’t want his sister to get the wrong idea that there was something between them, so it was simply normal for him to ask her to take off her coat and go buy another one.
Yanis felt aggrieved that she was a girl and he was treating her like that.
So she got angry and asked the sales clerk to return the coat to Zain on her behalf, without even seeing him, and let him go first.
She just thought if she made such a scene, Zain might feel a little sorry for her and come to pamper her. After all, he was probably very worried about her when he took off his coat and gave it to her to put on.
But… he still underestimated Zain’s thoughts.
Zain Nelson was what he appeared to be, how could he come to pamper her just because she was angry?
It was really stupid of him to go with that kind of thought in mind.
Now Yanis was regretting that he should have stopped yesterday. If he had bought her clothes and sucked up to her, the two of them would have gone home together for some alone time.
He had to change his strategy, acting adorable wasn’t going to do much good for Zain.
But…… if she suffered a little, then maybe Zain would take one more look at her.
Just like Zain took care of her yesterday when she was so badly dressed.
If she changed her tactics and went the route of asking for sympathy, would they both have a better chance of it working out later?
Thinking, Yanis felt a sudden pain in his finger. Before his brain could react, very painfully, he cried out loudly.
Zain, drinking his water, suddenly heard her cry of pain and looked her way.
A quick glance revealed that Yanis had accidentally cut his finger and blood was pouring out of the wound, instantly mixing with the red tomato juice.
Zain put down his glass, quickly reached over and grabbed her hand, put it under the faucet, rinsed it off and asked, -Do you have a band-aid?
In response to her cold question, Yanis nodded, -Maybe, I think so.
Maybe?
Zain frowned, -Wait here.
When Zain came out, Yanis gaped, looking at the cut on her finger and thinking about the intimate contact she had just had with Zain, her heart filled with sweetness little by little.
A moment ago she was trying to change her strategy and go the route of asking for sympathy.
Unexpectedly… God helped her.
She cut her finger, and by chance, Zain was by her side.
Of course, men like him only showed up when they saw you hurt or in need of help.
Although the wound hurt, Yanis didn’t get upset at all and instead smiled.
It seemed that… he had met the right method to pursue Zain.
