Rovi was looking at the mirror on the restaurant; he can see how the rain falls from the sky. He can also see how slowly JL walks; he felt sympathy about how JL feels. He felt sad for him but he never felt pity for him. “You’ll find her soon because I found mine.” he whispered on the air as if he wants the air to be the messenger for him to send his message. He was a bit shocked when he saw JL looking at him as if the air sent his message.
Grace felt sorry for JL although she didn’t mean to make him feel that way. She decided to call Hael. “Hi, can you go back here? I haven’t given back your journal yet.”
“Oh, yeah! Thanks for reminding. I’ll be there after lunch.” he said then turned off the line.
She felt like the time gets longer and it makes her wait for more. She heard some knock on the door of her room. She saw her sister, Mjay. “You have a visitor.” she said then close the door.
While she was stepping on the stairs, she saw Hael sat on the bench. She ran and hugged him tight. “Hey, what happened?” she heard him asked.
“Nothing, it’s just that, I can’t hold on anymore.”
“Hold on what?”
“Hold these tears in my eyes.” she said as her tears dropped on her face.
“What happened? Is there anything that I can help?”
She nodded. “Tell me, I can’t decide whether I did the right thing or not.”
“Tell me, what happened first.”
She wiped her tears and sat beside him. “I rejected JL’s heart.”
“Why are you crying? I mean, why did you cry? Do you still have the same feelings that you felt for him before or not?”
“I don’t know but I feel sorry for him that I rejected his heart.”
“Uh, I see… So, after you regained the memory you lost before, you finally realized that you still love me, uh… I’m so touched.” Hael joked on.
“That’s not it.” she said between her smiles.
Hael smiled at her. “See? I’m just letting those heavy things in your heart to lighten up. Anyway, if you feel sorry for him because you did the right thing then that’s good but if you feel sorry for him just because you’re not ready yet due to certain things you can’t explain yourself then, that’ll be bad now, which one?”
“The first one.” she immediately replied.
“Then, you did the right thing because if you keep on saying that you need more time to think then it’ll be more difficult for you to reject him. Baby, I want you to know that you did the right thing because you want to be free. It’s okay to feel sorry for him because you knew the feeling of being rejected but don’t make it that long because you might end up crying for nothing while he was trying to make himself better. Now, can I get back my journal?”
“Thank you.” she said with a smile on her lips. “You know what, you really knew how to change topic.”
Hael chuckled. “Well, that’s my way of comforting you. I’m in a hurry because I’ll go home at my parents’ house, my brother just got engaged on his best friend.” he said.
“Wow. Wait, I’ll just get it.” she said. Grace search for the journal of Hael all over her room but she can’t find it.
“Hi!” Hael said. “All your hospital bills are paid and I’m ready to help you from packing some of your stuffs, is everyone ready?”
“Yes, I’m really excited to go home now. I really miss the smell of my room.” she said while she was tapping the hospital pillows.
While they were travelling on their way home, she felt something that she forgot but she can’t remember what it is until Hael cover her eyes.
She went downstairs, she’s nervous and she can’t face Hael.
“Where had you been?” Hael joked on.
“I’m sorry.” she said as if she’s whispering.
“Sorry for?”
“Well, I think I forgot it on the hospital under the pillows.” She heard nothing but a long silence. She looked at his face; she can’t read what is he thinking. “Are you mad?” she nervously asked.
“No.” he shortly replied.
“I think you are…”
He smiled at her. “No, I’m just thinking if it’s still there. I saw the maintenance of the hospital clean it, so I was thinking if I could go there and get it. Don’t worry about it, I’ll just go to the hospital and ask about it.” he said.
“Are you sure?” she asked nervously.
He smiled at her once again. “Yeah, very sure, don’t worry, okay?” he said with assurance. “Now, I have to go so I still have time to ask for it first.” he said then chuckled when he saw how worried she was. “Its fine, you don’t have to worry that much. I’m not mad besides if you really forgot it under the pillows, still there’s a possible that I can still find it, so you don’t have to be worried like that. Take care, okay?” She just nods as a respond. Although she’s guilty but that guilt fades away when Hael assure her that he’s not mad and that made her sure.
It’s been one week since she went out of the hospital and she got some news about Hael, that he goes out of the country three days ago. Nurse Dy started his work as a registered nurse at the same hospital as Doctor Jimenez, Miss Li got her permanent job at a Thai Spa and JL came back on his life as a boy band group. She didn’t have any news about Rovi but she always receive letters and cards from him.
“Being a doctor is a hustle profession but you can still manage to send me letters and cards plus this call.” she said through the line.
