“I will be near you soon, babe. I’m busy right now.” Artemis said the moment he received the phone.
“Hon, Can I bring a boy from the orphanage to our place?” Hearing her, Artemis was taken aback. Colton observed his expression and wondered what kind of Nuclear bomb Caroline had dropped on him. “I know there is a proper procedure for it, but can you do anything? Because this little munchkin is not ready to leave me.”
“Give the phone to any staff or the manager of Orphanage,” Artemis said without asking anything at that moment. Caroline passed her phone to Maya; Artemis talked with her, explaining to let Caroline leave the orphanage with the boy she was talking about.
“But sir…”
“I know the rules, Maya. But I can’t say NO to my wife. Don’t worry about the boy. I will drop the boy off tomorrow safely.” Artemis said, cutting her in between.
“She… she is your wife? I mean, if you’re saying so, then she will be.” Maya blabbered and walked away from Caroline. She continued only after confirming that no one would be listening to her. “Sir, the boy which Caroline, I mean ma’am, wants to take with her is mentally stable for now. He has been just abandoned by his foster parents, and at this moment, I’m scared that any type of love and concern from Ma’am might affect him in a negative way as well if… if she will leave him.” She explained.
“Also, I think… I think that the boy is just finding ways to escape from here and reach home.”
“Hmm. Let them leave the orphanage tonight. I will see what I can do next.” Artemis said before disconnecting the call. First, the company’s work, second tension of his father in law and now third, this baby.
Artemis rubbed his forehead, realizing there was really a lot of thing on his plate right now.

When Caroline reached home, she found Artemis was already waiting for her but with a laptop on his lap.
“Hey,” Caroline reached near him and sat beside him. “Thank you.”
“Prego [You’re welcome.],” Artemis mumbled and looked at the baby in her arms, looking in the other direction.
“Bobby, he is my husband, Artemis,” Caroline said, making him look at him. Artemis finally got a chance to look at her when he turned his name, rubbing his eyes. He didn’t miss that how he had black hair like Caroline and Grey eyes like him, a little bit darker in fact.
‘This pup is giving me the vibe of our own, including his scent.’ Bolt mumbled. At first, he wasn’t very happy with the idea of a third person between his mate and him. Not this soon. But now, looking at Bobby, he wasn’t feeling jealous anymore.
“I think he is feeling sleepy. Let me feed him dinner; then we will talk.”
“Okay!”
Caroline freshened up and even washed Bobby’s face along with his hands and legs. She made him wear one of her t-shirts which was more like a gown to him. Since she had good knowledge of dealing with babies, she didn’t feel any problem handling him.
After tucking him in bed, she walked out of the room and found Colton was still at home.
“I thought you went to your suite.”
“Well, I stayed back to see what kind of madness you do. No wonder why you both fall in love. Everything in a flash. First, this marking thing and now parenthood?”
“I… I’m not adopting him.” Caroline cleared her brother’s confusion.
“But you gave him hope by bringing him here,” Colton said partially, on which Caroline furrowed her eyebrow, not realizing what she just did to calm Bobby down. “The staff of the orphanage said that the boy might have tricked you in his love trap so that you could take him away from there because he didn’t want to stay there.”
“Okay, guys!! Let’s drop this topic here. We will see what is Bobby’s response tomorrow, and then we will decide what we have to decide after that.” Artemis said a calm down, seeing his mate stressed.
“Hon… I..”
“Don’t complete your sentence as long as it is not ‘I love you.'” He teased with a wink. “I’m famished.”
“I love you, Artemis Thomas Gosling.”
“I love you too, Mate.” Caroline was about to jump on him when Colton started coughing.
“Someone give him cough syrup, please.” She muttered, glaring at him. Colton didn’t mind her words because he was too busy with the fact that Caroline got a man, just like anyone could have wished. She brought a boy home, but Artemis didn’t ask a single question. Little did he know, something was going on in Artemis’s heart, but he dared not think about it because Caroline could hear it.

“Hon, I’m sorry. It was just that… that Bobby was not reading to leave me.” Caroline muttered when Artemis returned back to work after dinner in the study room.
“It’s fine, sweetheart. Really.” Artemis said, placing the laptop aside and making her sit on his lap. “There are some decisions in our life that we just make without thinking much. I’m sure you had never thought that you would end up falling for me when you gave me a chance for those fourteen days. So, don’t be so… “he hissed and stopped breathing when he felt Caroline squeezing his manhood with her palm.
“What happened? Why did you stop speaking in between?” Caroline asked innocently.
“I… I’m working… Ahh… sweetheart!!”
“So what? I need you.” Caroline demanded. “And I know you need it too after this stressful day.” She pointed out. Artemis controlled his desire and pushed her away from his lap.
