“You look a little upset.” Artemis pointed out, seeing Caroline checking her phone from time to time.
“Nothing much!!” Caroline replied while changing her clothes. After returning from the airport, bidding goodbye to her uncle and Charlotte, who left for New York. After lunch, Artemis took the responsibility to give them a tour of a couple of places in Rome like, like Palatine Hill, the Colosseum, and the Roman Forum.
“It’s just that I told my brother about us, and after that, he is not checking my message.” She added in an upset tone.
“Which one? Colt or Calvin? As much as I know about your brothers, Calvin is a fun-loving guy, so I doubt that he will behave like this. Colt? Isn’t he?” Artemis asked, on which Caroline nodded her head.
“Okay!! Let’s just not think about it. I’m sure he will be fine by tomorrow morning.” Artemis assured her and hoped her brother talk to her soon because sad eyes didn’t suit her.
Artemis was thinking of asking about her family because even in the car, their conversation was interrupted by Colton’s message, and now Caroline’s mood was off because of him. That’s why Artemis stopped himself from resuming that topic.
“You sure?” Caroline asked.
“I’m hundred percent sure. Your brother is just pissed because he loves you because there is no anger without love.” Artemis said confidently, but even he knew that he was scared of her family member’s reaction. The last thing he wanted her family to break all the ties with her just because she chose him and got marked by him this early.
Hell, he couldn’t forgive himself if something like that happened with Caroline.
A few moments later,
“There is swelling in your feet. Why’s that?” Artemis asked when his eyes landed on Caroline’s feet when they joined the bed to sleep.
“I don’t know. I wasn’t feeling comfortable with my footwear today, maybe because of that.” Caroline responded. “But not a big deal; it will get fine by tomorrow.” She added casually.
“It’s a big deal, Regina,” Artemis said and left the bed to get the massage oil. “Let me massage your feet,” he added.
“Honey..” Caroline tried to say deny, but by that moment, Artemis had already held her feet. “You do know that I can heal myself. It’s just mom taught me to handle these minor pain on my own.”
“I’m thankful that she told you so. Because one can’t enjoy happiness and pleasure without pain.” Artemis agreed. “For example, you can’t enjoy the pleasure of making love without feeling pain.” Caroline’s face turned a shade darker hearing this.
“Ahhh!!” She cried in pain when Artemis applied his pressure in the area where her feet had swelling. But at the same time, she was enjoying the massage as well.
“Feeling better?” He asked by sensually touching her feet from time to time after massaging her feet.
“Hmm”
“I can give massage to your thigh or calf if you’re feeling any type of pain over there. All you have to do is SAY it.” Artemis said in concern.
Caroline bit her lips. Her body got excited hearing his offer. She cleared her throat before speaking confidently. “I think… I think… my whole body is in pain.” She turned like a red tomato when Artemis smirked, sensing her lie.
In the next minute, their room was filled with her repeatedly moaning and gasping. “Aahhh!! Oh. My. GAAwwwd. Artemis. Bolt. Mmm!! Aahhh!!”

The following day,
“Do you want me to wear a dress?” Caroline asked because they had to visit Artemis’s pack for the first time.
“No. Wear your regular clothes.” Artemis responded by throwing his coat on the bed and then landed on the bed along with his coat after coming from the office. “I don’t want anyone to look at you like you’re some angel because I won’t control Bolt then.”
Caroline chuckled at his choice of words. “Honey, I’m serious. I think this plain off-shoulder gown will be fine.”
Artemis showed her his thumb and really hoped that there wouldn’t be any problem waiting for them in the pack because the last thing he wanted was his mate’s insult.
‘There are two normal ways to become Alpha from Alpha Heir. First, if Caroline will able to win the heart of all the pack members, and second by locking all Caroline’s power and turning into a human.’ Bolt said the thing about which they kept thinking throughout the day.
‘And if pack members won’t agree to give a chance to my mate, then I’m not going to ask my mate to give up on her powers.’ Artemis told him. ‘By the way, I also thought that to let Santino become the Alpha if the pack members don’t agree to give a chance to my mate. You see, he hates me, but that doesn’t change the fact that he is not well trained Alpha. In fact, that is the only thing that he has always wanted to become from childhood. I will handle the company, and he will handle the pack. We both brothers can decide that. What do you say about that part?’
‘Will he agree?’
‘I don’t know. But isn’t it obvious that he doesn’t know even ‘C’ of the company?’ Artemis asked. ‘When our mate can stay peacefully with those brothers and sisters who are not even blood-related, then Santino is my very own cousin.’
‘Okay. Whatever you think, right because just… just keep in mind that Sarah is bonded with her brothers and sisters because of LOVE. And Love is thicker than blood.’

There is POOJA at home today as the Shradh period is going on as per Indian Culture & I will be busy on tomorrow with the Kitchen department as my mothers will fast for 24 hours without food and water for the well-being of her children starting from today. (It’s already 01:00 here)
