“I will give you whatever you want, including this deal as well, when you will marry my daughter, leaving your mate.”
“Excuse me?” Artemis looked at him in shock, couldn’t able to believe that Oliver Weasley, also the mate of the werewolf queen. Only if someone else would have said something like that. Artemis would have thrown him out of his office. He even would have insulted Oliver if he wouldn’t been the mate of the queen for this ridiculous proposal.
“I think you heard me,” Oliver said confidently.
‘Don’t insult him, hoooman. Just politely refuse his proposal.’ Bolt suggested.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Weasley, but I can’t leave the woman whom I love,” Artemis replied calmly.
“Why can’t? My daughter is rich and beautiful. You have seen that with your own eyes, not just that she is also a renowned chef in the human world. If you will marry her, then not just all your hotels will start running in profit. But also, you can get a chance to become the next werewolf king. And as for now, as far as I know, you’re just an Alpha heir, not even Alpha.” Oliver offered the best thing that any werewolf would try to have it leaving it to his or her mate.
After all, who wouldn’t want MONEY and POWER both by marrying the daughter of the princess of the werewolf kingdom?
“Your offer is nice, Mr. Weasley. I will still choose my Love over anything.” Artemis said, feeling disappointed by hearing his tone.
“What can that girl give you? She is nothing in front of my daughter. After all, who is she? Maybe just a nobody.” Oliver scoffed, talking out Caroline.
“I respect you, my king.” Bolt replied, gritting his teeth. “But I won’t tolerate anything from anyone about my mate. She means everything to me. And her respect is my top priority.” he added, giving control to Artemis, who continued the further things, “And why do you think that she can’t give me anything? “Whatever I will give her, she will make greater. If I give her sperm, she’ll give me a baby. If I give her a house, she’ll give me a home. If I give her groceries, she’ll give me a meal. If I give her a smile, she’ll give me her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. All you need to find the right woman, and my mate is my right one.”
“You mean to say that my daughter is not the right girl?”
“I didn’t mean that. I have heard a lot of things about Ms. Weasley, and by that news, I can say that she is the right woman for someone who really wishes to give her something on his own because I’m sure that I have nothing with me to give anything to her.”
“So, you’re rejecting my daughter?” Oliver asked.
Sighing, Artemis nodded his head, “I will never… never leave my mate, my love for anything or for anyone.” he paused before explaining his answer to Oliver. “See, Mr. Weasely, you really shouldn’t think of getting her married to someone who neither wants her nor love her. You have raised her with so much love, not just to get her married to someone who has no valve in his eyes.”
“Now, you will lecture me about parenting, huh?”
Artemis shook his head, not able to understand how to make Oliver Weasley realize that he was wrong by putting such a condition.
“No. I’m not.”
“Mr. Weasley, you’re almost my double age. So, maybe in your time, if you would have found a better woman than Mrs. Weasley, whether you have chosen her leaving your wife, your mate? Everyone knows that you’re your mate chosen mate. She already had a son from her first mate. So, will you have to leave her for some virgin girl without any kid?”
“Excuse me! How dare you speak nonsense about my mate.” This time Oliver’s raised his voice.
“Right now, I’m feeling the same way, Mr. Weasley. My feelings for my mate are not very different from the feelings that you have for your mate; it’s just our situation is different. Money and Power are important, but that doesn’t before Love and family in my life.”
There was an awkward silence between them for a minute before Oliver left the chair. Artemis, too stood on his feet.
“It was nice meeting you, Mr. Gosling,” Oliver said, forwarding his hand for a handshake. Artemis knew he lost the deal, but he didn’t mind losing if the cost of his success was losing his mate. He forwarded his hand to shake a hand, but Oliver pulled him into a hug and patted his shoulder.
Artemis couldn’t understand his sudden behavior until Oliver said, “Congratulations!! You passed my test.” They broke the hug soon, and Oliver continued. “You’re an amazing businessman and a loving husband. On the top, you’re a good person, so the deal is all yours without any condition.”
“You can ask your lawyer to prepare the documents. We can finalize everything tomorrow.” He added while Artemis was having a hard time that, it was happening for real. “Come out of shock, Mr. Gosling. As a businessman, I have to make sure that I’m dealing with the right person or not. Sometimes people are great in business but bad in terms of family, so because of investing, I needed to test you.”
“Oh, Okay!!” Artemis smiled, understanding his reason, but as for then, only Oliver was the real reason behind his test.
‘Fine!! I now agree that Caro’s mate is the best for her, but why hasn’t she told about it to anyone? Maybe because Brandon is planning on keeping all the girls with him till their fifty or sixty years old. And he is quite serious about that part. But now that Caro is already marked by him, then when will she tell everyone?’ he thought.
