“That’s great that you came here to apologize to her when you realize that you were wrong about her, but you need to ask for forgiveness by rubbing your nose on the ground.”
“Artemis….” Caroline gasped.
Artemis ignored her and kept speaking, “I haven’t forgotten your words about my mate, Raul. And I won’t forgive you for disrespecting things about my mate. Not just because you will say, ‘I’m sorry’ and leave that easily.”
“Artemis..” Caroline tried to stop all this, but again Artemis and Raul ignored her.
“I knew that you wouldn’t forgive me that easily,” Raul said with a smile. “And I won’t mind this punishment because I know that I crossed my limit,” he added and knelt down on his knee.
“Raul, it’s not required. Artemis.. Please stop him.” Caroline said, widening her eyes. Artemis kept staring at Raul without saying anything. But before Raul’s nose would have touched the floor, he stood up on his feet on his own.
Artemis looked at Caroline, who had controlled his body. She soon left control of his body and turned her head toward her mate before speaking, “If you’re mad at him, then break his nose, but it is not necessary to insult him just because he did the same to your mate. Remember, an eye for an eye will leave the whole world blind.” Caroline said and reached toward him.
She couldn’t help but hug him, “I missed you.”
Artemis chuckled at her words and wanted to say that they were together last night, but then he didn’t. To be honest, he started, missing her just a minute after she left. “I missed you too.”
“You guys sort your issue out. I will ask Lucy to send some refreshments for both of you.” Caroline said, leaving both the best friends together.

“She is indeed a gem,” Raul commented, on which Bolt growled at him. “I know she is yours,” he added. “I’m sorry to you too, Arti. I came here to apologize to her because I’m truly sorry about the choice of words that I used for her.”
“And I’m really embarrassed about that, Arti. I don’t know whether this sorry can make anything right between us or not, but I’m sorry again. I know, from last week, that we are not on talking terms, and it is because of me, of course. I shouldn’t have said those things without knowing her.” Raul said in a guilty tone.
“I also that you stopped talking to me because you’re disappointed in me. You didn’t expect me to behave in that way, and I also embarrassed you in front of Caroline indirectly. You must have thought about what kind of disgusting friend you have, who embarrassed you in front of your mate in the first impression.” Raul muttered.
“So, I just want to make everything right between us. And Bolt, I’m sorry to you too. I shouldn’t have said anything about your mate without any proof, but trust me, I’m not a bad person. I just didn’t want you both to go through the same pain again.” Raul kept apologizing for a while until Artemis sighed and hugged him tightly.
“I was going to give hard treatment to you, but… your little speech made me so emotional,” Artemis said, patting Raul’s back. “I was scared that if you don’t stop, then my mate might end up seeing tears in my eyes.” he joked, breaking the hug, on which they both started laughing together.
“So, am I forgiven?”
“Well, do I have any other choice?” Artemis chuckled. By that time, one of the maids walked in carrying two cups of coffee for them. “Where is my boss?” he asked, signaling about Caroline.
“Ma’am is in the room, maybe getting freshen up.” She replied.
“Hmm.”
“Sir, do you need anything else? Please let me know because Ma’am asked to give everyone leave early.” She informed.
“No. Nothing.” Artemis replied, and she left from there.
“You didn’t ask them why Caroline gave them early leave?” Raul asked, lifting the mug of coffee.
“That’s because they weren’t the right person for that question. And as much as I know my mate, she might be planning to cook dinner on her own.” Artemis responded, sipping his coffee.
They both discussed other things until Caroline walked in black pajamas and a black boyfriend t-shirt after taking a bath.
“I’m cooking dinner today. Do you want anything specific?” She asked, wrapping her arms around his neck from the back of the couch.
“I will have anything as long I will have you as my dessert,” Artemis said, winking at her. Caroline slapped him playfully and looked at Raul. “I’m preparing for you too, Raul.”
“But you will just get dinner, not the dessert, because that is mine,” Artemis said, on which Caroline hit him again and left from there.
“How? How did you know she would cook dinner? She might have ordered from outside or may have asked you about taking her out after that. It had been a week since you took her out for a dinner date.” Raul asked in surprise, seeing how Artemis’s guess was right.
“She didn’t ask for a dinner date because she knew that I hadn’t eaten homemade food for long.” Artemis paused before continuing, “And the reason she is cooking dinner is her way to show efforts in our relation.”
“Honestly speaking, I love that when she cooks a meal for me. That reminds me of my days with mom.” Artemis finished, and Raul smiled, seeing him happy.
“Arti, I finally all the details of the Caroline. She…”
