Artemis opened his eyes in the middle of the night and found Caroline sleeping on the other side of the bed.
‘Why is she sleeping away from us?’ Bolt grumbled, and Andrew thought the same.
He tried to bring her close to her, so they could sleep holding each other in their arms.
“No.” She mumbled in sleep. “You’re burning like you’re on fever.” She added and returned back to her previous position on the bed. Artemis narrowed his eyes and glared and his body. He was a werewolf, so his body temperature was definitely a way lot warm than human, just like vampires had cold bodies like dead people, but he couldn’t do anything about it.
A smile appeared on his lips when his eyes landed on the temperature of the AC. He quickly grabbed the remote, and after lowering the temperature, he acted like he was sleeping. He waited for a while to see the result of the trick that he played.
“Uhh.. Urgh..” Caroline groaned, feeling cold. She pulled the sheet to her chest to cover herself, but it wasn’t working. Witches were also human, so she was reacting in the same way, just like another mere human. She didn’t have a habit of sleeping at such low temperatures. She lazily opened her eyes and looked for the remote, but she couldn’t find it anywhere; turning around, she looked at her handsome mate who was sleeping without a t-shirt, showing his abs without any sheet. She quickly reached near him and hugged him. Artemis hugged her back, and Bolt mentally howled in joy when their plan got successful.

“Take care of yourself, and don’t worry about me,” Caroline repeated the nth time, but Artemis wasn’t getting irritated because of it; after all, Caroline was concerned like his mom. “And remember what I said yesterday, focus on your work instead of wasting your time on the result. There are always ups and downs in any business. Hmm?” She added so that he would start his day with a lot of positivity.
“Yes, Boss,” Artemis said, locking her in his arm. “Now, my turn. Don’t. Just don’t go anywhere near pack even if anyone asks you to or for some other reason. It can be trap for you. Though I will have an idea that you will be at your work, but in case… in case your will plan to visit somewhere else, then let me know, okay?”
“Okay, Boss.”
“And the most important thing, I won’t stop you from doing the work that you enjoy. But if possible, keep this as your hobby rather than a job because I want you in my arms when I am free. Our relationship is new, so we should give our relationship our first priority.”
“Don’t worry. I will keep that in mind.” Caroline said, nodding her head.
“I’m asking too much, don’t I?” Artemis asked in a low tone.
“Nope. I understand that your situation is a little bit tight, and at the same time, you want each and every single second of your free time with me. So, you aren’t asking too much.”
Artemis felt proud of his choice. He knew that Caroline was keeper and wife material even without knowing her background. So, he didn’t mind taking a risk by marking her.
“I love you.”
“I like you,” Caroline replied instead of not answering him anything.

“So, how’s my son?” Lorenzo asked when he walked into Artemis’s cabin before he would have left for Miami.
“Happy and content, dad,” Artemis replied and signaled Kane to leave the cabin for a while.
“Are you really happy?” Lorenzo asked to reconfirm. Artemis didn’t answer him for a while.
“Just look at my face, and do you think I’m not happy?” Artemis asked, grinning widely. “And trust me, you will fall in love with her after knowing her… I mean as a father and daughter’s love.” he quickly corrected his words. Lorenzo laughed at his words before nodding his head.
“By don’t you bring her to the pack and introduce her to everyone?” Lorenzo suggested.
“Yes! I was thinking about that. I will bring her there next week after getting free from this shit.” Artemis admitted. “By the way, you and mom can meet her. She looks a bit different than normal girls, but you will regret judging her without knowing her.”
“Naah. It won’t look good to meet her without your absence. So, it will be better if you will introduce her to us for the first time.” Artemis’s father responded.
“Okay.” Artemis shrugged his shoulder and checked his laptop for the final time. Lorenzo didn’t miss how calm his son was even though a lot of things were going around. He understood the reason behind it, and it was no other than Caroline. If he wanted, then he could help in solving his son’s problem, but he wanted Artemis to learn to handle the worst situation on his own. This situation was testing him, and he hoped that Artemis would overcome this phase of his life as well.

Later that day!!
Caroline submitted all the details that were asked by Pablo. She showed her cooking talent, which she had learned from Uncle Oli and Aunt Becca and also from her mother, and all the old age people liked it except a few whose taste was different or had a habit of whining at the time of any food.
Pablo himself tasted the food and he was impressed by her cooking skill.
“Wow, Caroline! Your cooking skill is great.” Pablo commented after her tasting her food.
“Thank you, Pablo.”
“But…”
“But what?” Caroline looked at him in confusion.
“But I just received from higher authorities….. I swear I didn’t have any idea about it before, OR I wouldn’t have wasted your time.” Pablo explained.
