It was currently Monday and I was heading to school. Brie and Cam had left yesterday evening.
I was dreading coming to school today because the only thing I see in school is Vera purposely being affectionate with Archer in front of me.
If only I showed Archer the picture of Vera that shows the mark on her wrist is the only way Archer would drop her ass. Because from what I know, he’s pretty oblivious and bling to notice it himself.
How does he not know shes not his soulmate, how does he not notice that they don’t have sparks.
I got out of my black car and I walked up to the white building, also known as hell.
As soon as I open the door, my vision is completely blocked and the only thing I can see is someone’s neck.
I look up and I’m greeted with a grinning Owen, showing off his pearly whites.
“What?” I groan pushing past him and walking to my locker, removing a few books from my bag.
“Hello to you too” Owen rolls his eyes but the small smile was still playing on his lips.
“Why are you so… bubbly today?” I ask him.
From what I know, Owen isn’t always this happy. He’s more of a serious person and it’s very rare for you to see him smile a lot.
“Well… I was thinking about this while Archer and Vera thing. And I have a pretty good idea, I’m kind of surprised how I didn’t think of this before…” he says
I freeze and I slowly turn to him, trying to hide a smile.
“Continue” I simply say giving him my full attention.
Owen smirks at me with a knowing look before he continued to speak.
“I just realised, I could just give you his number and then you could just send him the picture through messages or something” He shrugs again, leaning on the locker beside mine with his arms crossed over his chest.
My eyes grow wide and I start to slap his arm repeatedly.
“Owen you’re a GENIUS” I laugh while I continue to hit his arm repeatedly.
“I recommend you stop hitting my arm or I might just not give you his number” Owen smirks while grabbing onto my wrist.
“Right… so, give me his number” I say excitedly once I put my hands beside me.
Owen laughs at me before pulling his phone out from his pocket.

From across the hallway, I could see Owen and Xena laughing and talking to each other.
I don’t know why, but I get a bit weird inside me when I saw them talking to each other.
I don’t want to call it jealousy but… I think I was jealous of Owen talking to Xena. But I have no reason to be. It’s not like I care… right?
I also have started to realised one Owen has gotten closer to Xena and her gal palls.
Did I—
Did I just say gal palls?
The fuck?
“Hey baby” I hear someone say before they put their hands on my chest.
I turn around and smile at Vera.
“Hey” I kiss her on the lips.
I’m not going to lie when I say I have sometimes been very sceptical of Vera being my soulmate.
One of the reasons being, her lips don’t feel the same as they were when she kissed me at the party when I first found out about my soulmate. Another reason being, she doesn’t taste like how she did during the party.
When Xena kissed me in the hallway a week back, I was very sure that she was my soulmate. But of course she can’t be because I’ve already found mine. Right?
Right before the bell rang I saw Owen giving a high five to Xena and then walking off down the hallway.
I sight before heading to my first class as well with one thought on my mind.
Why am I attracted to Xena in this way?

I walked to the cafeteria, my eyes glued to my phone, I kept re reading the same message on my phone again and again.
Owen has given me Archers number, I had written down a message of the proof I had about Vera not being his soulmate along with the picture attached to it.
Hey, It’s Xena. I know you said you don’t really want to talk to me but I have to get something across, I’m your soulmate. You may not believe it, but I have proof. Believe what you want.
Along with that message the picture was attached of Vera’s wrist.
I walked to the table which Brie and Cam were sitting on. I put my bag down and took a seat across.
“I’m about to send it” I simply say.
I had told Brie and Cam about this, they were the ones who helped me come up with what to say.
“Send it” Cam says eating her cafeteria food.
“I can’t… I’m scared.” I shake my head. Re reading the message I wrote down.
“Lemme see” Brie says while asking for my phone.
“Here. But don’t send—” I say while giving her my phone.
“Done” she shrugs while handing me back my phone.
“Did you send it?! Why? I said don’t send it!” I start to panic.
“Chill dude. It’s just a message” Cam laughs.
I look at her with a blank face before I turn my head to see if Archer saw it.
He was sitting 2 tables after us, along with Owen and Vera. I saw him turn to his phone and he start to look around. Probably trying to spot me.
Before he could Lock eyes with me. I did the most sensible thing I could do.
I dropped to the floor so he couldn’t see me.
“What the fuck are you doing?” Cam says while looking at me with confusion.
“He saw the goddamn message” I hiss.
“Well, I don’t see what’s the point of hiding, cause he’s coming here right now” Brie casually says while looking straight forward.
“If you don’t want him to see you I recommend running now” Cam says.
“Oops, too late” Cam laughs.
Right after that I felt the someone tap my shoulder.
“Uh Xena. Can I talk to you…” Archer says looking down at me.
“Right… um, yeah” I say while getting up from the floor and dusting myself.
He then grabs onto my hand and instantly feel the sparks, almost like I was being charged.
I turn my head to see Vera glaring at mine and archers hands connected.
I stick my tongue out at her while Archer drags me out of the cafeteria.
Call me childish, I don’t care.
Before I knew it, we were out of the cafeteria but Archer kept dragging me till he pulled me into the janitors room.
It was completely dark and I started to feel claustrophobic, I could feel Archers chest.
Before I knew it I felt his hands lift up my face and he kissed me.
Wait.. he’s kissing me!
ARCHER HOWELL IS KISSING ME
Not that I mind, I was born ready for this.
I quickly kissed him back, but before anything could go any further I pulled away.
“Look, I’ve actually felt like you were my soulmate for sometime, but I always pushed it down. I always stuck with the fact that Vera is my soulmate.” Archer shakes his head.
“It’s fine. All you need to do now is get Vera out of your—” my sentence was cut short by the sound of Vera calling out for Archer.
“I need to get Vera the hell away from me” he shakes his head before he sighed and leans down to rest his head on my forehead then slowly resting it on my shoulder.
He pecks my neck sending shivers down my spine then opening the janitors door, winking at me before telling me meet him in the parking lot after school.
And just like that I was in darkness once again. The only difference was I wasn’t sad. I was happy… way way way more happy.
Holy. Shit. That just happened.
