It was already Thursday, my exam on Wednesday went okay. I had just one more day I till I went to Australia to meet Sam, I was really looking forward to go to Sydney.
I walked out of the examination room and headed for the parking lot. This was my last test for today, then tomorrow I had two more test then I was basically done with high school.
I already saw Blake leaning against his black car and he was doing something on his phone, when he saw me he smiled at me and shoved his phone in his back pocket.
Once I reach him, he moves forward and gives me a peck on the lips then asks me how my test were, and like always I answers by telling his it was okay.
I came to school with Blake this morning because he insisted.
Once we were both in the car Blake turns the ignition on and backs out of the school parking lot.
We were silently mumbling to music in the background while we headed home. But when I realised that we passed the road that lead us to our house I questioned him.
“Uh Blake? You just passed our house” I say looking at him then at my window.
“Yeah I know. I thought that maybe we could go have some ice cream to get our minds of from all this exam stress” he says smiling at me then turning back to look at the road.
I simply nod my head and look out my window.
Once we reach the ice cream parlour we both step out of the car and begin heading to the door.
We ordered our ice cream and we chose a booth at the back, we sat opposite each other while having small talk while waiting for our ice cream to come.
“So you only have 2 more test tomorrow right?” Blake ask
“Yeah, then I’ll be leaving for Sydney in the morning on Saturday” I nod my head.
“Oh, you’re leaving so early?” Blake says, is that sadness I hear in his voice.
Aww he’ll miss me.
“You’ll miss me eh?” I wiggle my eyebrows to lighten the conversation.
Just when Blake was about to answer the bells on the ice cream shop ring and in wake in the person I haven’t talked to for almost 5 months.
Nolan
His red hair bounced when he walked and he looked exactly like Annabelle.
Of course he’ll look like Annabelle dumbass, he’s her twin brother.
I shake my head when he spots me and Blake, he start walking up to us with a small smile.
“Hey Ava, Blake” he nods at both of us.
“Nolan, hey. Where have you been?, I haven’t seen or talked to you for almost 4 months” I ask him giving him a quick hug and I didn’t miss the glare that Blake gave Nolan.
Someone’s jealous.
I pulled away from Nolan’s embrace and gave Blake a small smile telling him that there was nothing to be jealous of.
“Uh… yeah. I’ve actually been focusing so much on my studies for the past 4 months. My parents never let me go out that much, they have a high expectations of me and I need to keep it that way. So I never really have time to hang around that much. Sorry Ava” He rubs his neck.
“I’ve actually been hearing that you put Annabelle in her place and she doesn’t bother you anymore. And I’ve also heard you guys are dating” Nola says looking at Blake and I.
“Yeah we are” I blush.
“That’s good, at least you won’t be taking about Blake that much anymore like you used to before” he smirks
I blush a deeper red.
“You used to talk about me?” Blake looks at me shocked but then settles on a smirk.
“What? Pfft. No, why would I?” I answer quickly.
“Oh don’t listen to her lies. When we used to hang out she would never shut up about you” Nolan says
I groan and lean my head against the wooden table hiding my crimson face from the two boys.
“Anyways, I won’t be embarrassing Ava anymore, I only have a a little bit of time before my parents find out I escaped from my room” he laughs before waving us bye and ordering an ice cream and leaving the parlour just when our ice cream comes as well.
“So you talked about me, huh?” Blake teases
“He was lying I didn’t talk about you” I lie and roll my eyes, a smile threatening to slip through.
“Sure, whatever you say” he sarcastically says while lifting my hand that was resting on the table and giving it a quick squeeze and a peck.
I blush at the small gestures and I try hiding it behind my brown open hair.
“Look at you all flustered” he jokes and pinches my cheeks and then start to eat his ice cream.
“Oh shut up” I mutter and start eating my almost melted ice cream.
Once we were done, I payed for both our ice creams because I threatened him that I wouldn’t talk to him and then we headed back to his car.
Once we were sitting in his car he backed out and headed home but during the ride he did the most the most unexpected thing.
He put his freaking hand on my thigh.
Ohmigosh.
I’m probably over reacting but no ones ever done this to me and everything is new to me so it’s kind of shocking.
My stomach had butterflies and my stomach churned, I looked at him for a second and I immediately got lost in his light blue eyes. They looked like a swirl of different shades of blue, from here I could see the flecks of golden in his eyes, but I quickly looked away.
Let me breath.
Deep breaths Ava.
But what I did next shocked me and it shocked Blake too cause I felt him tense up.
I put my hand on top of his hand that was on my thigh.
From the corner of my eyes I saw his look at me when we were at a red light and I just tuned my head completely away from his and I faced the window so he didn’t see me blush.
I felt him ease after a few seconds and he left his hands on my thigh.
What’s he doing to me? stupid hormones and feelings.
We reached the outside of my driveway and I quickly leaned in and gave him a peck on the lips he kissed me back and I picked my bag from the back of the car and heading for the door, before I closed it I shoot him a quick smile and closed the door.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, what is this boy doing to me? I’m going crazy.
When I turned around I was shocked to see Rose and Conner with their arms crossed and their eyebrows raised and a smirk playing on their face.
I looked at them in confusion “what?” I question
“Don’t “what” us, tell us where you guys went” Rose says walking up to me.
“What do you mean, we just went to eat ice cream” I lie. I really don’t feel like telling them about the whole car fiasco thing.
“Nuh-uh, you’re face is all… red” Conner butts in and points around my face.
Stupid Blush.
“Uh… nothing happened” I mutter trying to hide my blush by walking to the kitchen and finding something to eat.
“Oh come on.” Rose crosses her arms over her chest again.
“Nothing happened… he just put his hand on my thigh” I mumble the last part.
“What was that? I didn’t hear you” Rose comes closer
“He put his hand on my thigh!, okay? Happy?” I exclaim throwing my hands in the air in frustration.
“Aww” they both said and looked at me in this weird expression I couldn’t explain.
“Okay now, if you don’t mind I’m going to start studying for my last two test tomorrow. You guys can leave or make your self at home. There’s some snacks in the pantry” I blush remembering what happened in the car while I walk upstairs.
Conner went to the living room while Rose followed me.
I stop in my tracks and turn to Rose looking at her questioningly.
“I need to talk to you, you need to tell me everything in detail” she says while she sits on my bed cross legged.
I huff but tell her what happened in detail.
“How did you feel when he did that?” Rose asks
“Um… I don’t know, I felt like I couldn’t breath and I was living my best life. My stomach my doing this weird churning thing. Heck, I couldn’t even look at him without blushing or getting lost in his eyes at that moment” I say in a daze.
“Girl… you’re definitely in love” Rose shakes her head and smiles at me.
“What? No that’s not possible” I shake my head.
I can’t be in love we’ve only been dating for around 2 months, that’s not possible. That’s too early.
“It’s actually is possible” Rose nods her head at me like a 5 year old.
“No… I can’t be. It’s only been 2 months since we started dating, don’t you think that’s too early to fall in love?” I question
“Hun, there isn’t a time span of when you fall in love with someone, you definitely love him” she laughs
No…
Am I really in love? No. That’s not possible… right?
