I woke up to my phone repeatedly dinging from my side table, I groan and turn to see who was texting me.
I was really tired because we finished watching different movies at around 2 and I came back home but I couldn’t sleep for a solid hour because I was scared, we were watching horror movies and I get quite frightened by them.
I see multiple text messages from Blake, what does he want? Doesn’t he know that he shouldn’t be waking me up at such a time?
What’s the time anyways?
I look at the time on my phone and I immediately jump out of bed, it’s already 3 in the afternoon, wow.
I’ve never slept for this long in my entire life.
Blake: hey.
Blake: hey.
Blake: hey?
Blake: hello?
Blake: you there?
Blake: are you sleeping?, you can’t honestly be sleeping it’s 3 pm.
Blake: HELLO.
4 missed calls from Blake
Blake: are you dead?
Blake: Anyways, if you’re still alive I was texting you to ask you if you wanted to go out with me for dinner?
Blake: you’re probably sleeping, but text me back once you wake up.
Ava: hey, yeah sure I’ll come with you for dinner.
Blake: Oh So you’re alive, I’ll come pick you up at around 7, sounds good?
Ava: Yup, that’s fine 🙂
I put my phone away and get out of bed I then brush my teeth and hair before heading downstairs to see Sophia sitting on the sofa watching something on the tv.
“Hey” I greet Sophia while walking to the kitchen to get something to eat.
“Oh So you’re alive, I thought you died or something, I was knocking on your door a few hours back for around 20 minutes but you never responded, so I came to the conclusion that you either died or ran away, but knowing you, you wouldn’t have ran away.” Sofia states.
“Well, I’m alive, I don’t see why people think I’m dead.” I chuckle and give her one of my sarcastic smiles and continue to pour myself some milk into my cereals.
“Where is mom and dad?” I ask sitting down next to her on the sofa with my bowl of cereal.
“They’ve gone to get groceries.” She replies
I watch whatever Sophia is watching until I was done with my breakfast, I take my bowl to the kitchen and place in in the sink. I head back upstairs and head for a shower.
Once I was done with my shower it was around 4 I had 3 hours to kill till Blake shows up to pick me up for dinner.
I decided to pick out my outfit and keep it ready, I walk to my closet and pull out a black ribbed off the shoulder top with some simple blue jeans and white sneakers.
I then climb in my bed and layed in my bed for some time and I let my hair air dry while I scroll through my social media. I stayed in bed for about 2 hours so I had an hour to get read. I put on my outfit and straighten my hair, I didn’t feel like putting on make up so I just put some chapstick before I head downstairs to watch something to kill the remaining few minutes left.
After some time I heard the door bell ring so I walk to the door to open it and I saw Blake standing there in all his glory wearing simple black jeans and a white v neck shirt. He smiles and kisses my cheek which causes me to blush.
“Ready?” He asks
I simply nod my head and yell at Sophia telling her I was heading out with Blake. I shut the door and we walk to his car, he opens the door for me and I thank him before getting in. He walk to the drivers side and gets in as well.
“So. Where are we going?” I ask him
“That’s for me to know and for you to find out” he smiles and winks at me before pulling out of the curb and heading down the road.
I just sigh and lean my head on the window. Guess I have to wait.
Blake turns the radio on and we have small conversations till we reach our locations.
Once we do reach the place I look up and I see a restaurant, it looked cute and small.
I get out of the car the same time Blake gets out of the car.
I walk to his side of the car and smile at him, he smiles back at me and interlocks our hands together.
I actually can’t believe that I’m dating this dude, if you told me this 4 months back I would have laughed at you and called you crazy.
We walk to the restaurant together and we take a table and a waitress comes and takes our order after we read the menu.
While we were waiting for the food to arrive we had small talk and we got to know each other even more.
The waitress then comes and puts our food on the table. We start to eat and we eat in peaceful silence.
I can’t believe I’m dating him.. wow
“I can believe it either” he looks at me with his beautiful blue eyes.
Did I say that out loud? I really need to get a hold of myself
I blush and look down at my plate.
“You look cute when you blush” he gives me a toothy grin.
“Thank you?” I laugh blushing harder.
“Let’s go, it’s already 8:30” he says while he signals the Waitress to get the bill.
“We’re splitting the bill” I state firmly
“No we’re not, I’m the one who asked you on this date, so I’ll be the one paying” he replies in a firm tone.
“Please? I don’t like it when people pay for me, we’ll be splitting the bill” I say
The waitress comes back but Blake quickly gives her his credit card and pays for the meals.
“Blake”
“Yes?” He says while taking the card back and smirking at me.
“You’re really unbelievable” I roll my eyes
“Hey don’t get mad, it was my treat anyways” he playfully smiles and slings his arm over my shoulder.
“But still.” I respond
“Let it be” he smiles at kisses the side of my forehead
“Should we head home?” He asks
I nod my head and we walk to his car. We drive back home while humming to songs on the radio.
Once we reach my house I turn to Blake. “Thanks for today, I really enjoyed spending time with you” I smile up at him.
“I did too” he smiles at me back.
I quickly lean in and give him a quick peck on the lips before getting out of the car.
I hear Blake laugh, “see you on Monday, I’ll be dropping you to school” he says
“Okay” I smile and wave him bye before heading into my house.
I couldn’t stop smiling.
What’s he doing to me, agh. My heart.
