I wake up with a slight headache. I didn’t want to get out of my bed today. I was tossing and rolling on the bed. My phone buzzing forced me to get up to only to see Mira…. oh No!!! My brain exclaimed.
I was frowning, but you know work is a drug for few people called workaholic. Unfortunately, that’s me…..
I answered, ” Hello…”. She said,” sorry to disturb, I know Sunday…I can’t attend a meeting, kind of busy with my cousin. So could you just do it on my behalf as the assistant to your senior, please “.
I already made my mind to deny it as sweetly and sugary as possible. But when I opened my mouth all I got was,
” I ….”. She started begging so fiercely,” Please, please, please, please, ( at least 10 times…then a deep breathe then again 15 times).” I immediately yelled ok. She hung up the phone and texted me the details.
As it was a virtual meeting on Skype…so kind of easy it would be. I just have to pen down some stuff for note making.
I dragged myself out and decide to freshen up. It was about to start in 15 minutes. So I had enough time to settle… my hairs which were messed up after that heated moment last evening and later because of me pulling them because of Jacob.
After I was looking sensible enough, I grabbed a pack of chocolate cookies and sat in front of my lappy…
After few seconds, I logged in on the portal and the very unexpected face appeared. I shrieked…,” Oh…myyyyy God!!”. He was grinning broadly.
I wanted to ask him what he was doing here, but I remembered that it’s his question as I am Mira’s replacement.
There were no one else on the portal, uhhh!! Late comers…
I still had a cookie in my mouth, so I started what usually people do… I was chewing it. When I saw him staring with a weird expression, oh my god what is with this guy and his expressions.
I gulped the bolus hardly and decided to exit the screen for a while. So instead closing it, I got up and started walking.
As soon as I turned and started walking, I heard someone whistling. I turned to see Jacob doing it. I let out an irritated sigh and continued moving towards the kitchen. I removed a chocolate bar. I opened and started eating it and collected my notepad.
I slowly moved towards the screen, and while I was sitting back on my chair, I noticed that I was only in shorts, only covering my butt.
Now I realized why he was whistling, uhh stupid me.. I sat quietly and kept munching chocolate. I was kind of embarrassed and why the hell it took so long to them to enter, still all were missing.
I was about to call my senior, when a call came. It was Mr. Mystery. I was literally staring at my cellphone. I was angry at him. I was upset with his behavior. Why can’t he be normal?
Before I could pick up, I saw Jacob staring me, he said slyly,” Pick up! You can always smooch on cellphone, I won’t mind”. I ignored him and switched off my phone and threw my cellphone on the couch. I turned and saw Jacob seeing me with a pained expression. Wait! Why is he behaving weird??
I noticed people arriving. I was about to yell them, but they are my seniors not me…silly me
The whole session, I was noting and jotting all the points. Then something caught my eyes. The platinum ring on Jacob’s index finger.
I didn’t know if I am thinking the right thing or not. But can he be? Really? I can’t fall for the one who will break my heart…… wait! What?? He can’t be he is a player. But what if he turned out to be ? How would I deal with it.
After long 1 hour and painful thirty minutes it ended. Everybody exited and Jacob and me were left.
I was about to exit, when he cleared his throat and said,” See you tonight at 7:00 pm?”. I nodded and said,” I want to ditch my BF wanna join?”.
He chuckled,” Why? Is it that easy to betray him?? Last night you were so confident…” I stopped him in between and answered,” Yeah, Need some change, no it’s not easy to betray him, but to myself…so woo me”. I smiled a painful smile.
He smiled and said,” I hope your BF won’t kill me…..!! I wanna live my life long enough….”.
I chuckled and said,” He is different maybe…”.
He said, ” I love this ‘ maybe’ of yours…”.
He exited immediately. Oh my god!! Fingers crossed I hope he is not my…..
I remember his ‘ maybe of yours’.
Oh my god, was he dropping hints…

I immediately turned out the file which held my Mission Mr. Mystery decoded!! Remember??
Yes and all the research I did…. I analyzed it again…Every proof was screaming it is Jacob. But my heart was not ready to believe it…
The only way to find it, is to actually let Jacob woo me, he will come for me…then it would be clear that they are separate easily….
