“You don’t deserve to be a father, especially for Nylah and Amirah.” Then Ronan was about to leave with Kingsley.
Nylah and Amirah did not like that their father was condemned. They rushed to Ronan, one clutching his leg, and one punching him in the stomach with full strength, “I returned the words to you on behalf of my daddy. You that never deserve to be a father so you have a bad boy like Kingsley.”
Halle was stunned! Jesus! It could not be more chaotic now.
Amirah’s words seemed to be said that Ronan never deserved to be their father.
“Nylah, Amirah, stop it. Let’s go.”
“No, he hit our daddy. You apologize to daddy now.” With a cold expression in her little face, Nylah wish to push Ronan to the ground, but she was too little to do that.
Looking at the two little faces, Ronan thought they were their attractive mother in miniature. Ronan was not offended at all, “he had been divorced your mother, which means he doesn’t want you. You two also decided to uphold him so much?”
An expression of guilt was on Amirah’s face. Jaiden was actually a faker, pretending to be their father. But she would never communicate the facts in front of so many people. Otherwise, other kids in the kindergarten would call them bastard again. “Well, daddy and mommy have divorced each other, while daddy is very nice to us.”
“If he is so nice, and why did he allow your mother to make a living as a street vendor?” Reminding of Halle in the night market, Ronan really didn’t know what to say. He argued for her life. Halle had two babies for Jaiden, but he never cared about her at all.
“Halle, you ever set up a stall in the night market ?” Upon Ronan finished, Jaiden asked with concern.
This was one time Halle wish the floor would open up and swallow her. The two men publicly kept talking the sore subject to her, making her so much pain. Especially Ronan, why does he have to talk about that?
They reminded her of Hunter and road closure that Ronan offered to solve for her. But he just blew her off.
Not only that, he mentioned the shameful subject in front of others, which embarrassed her very much. Ronan was the man who should feel sorry for the two kids, not Jaiden. Halle rushed forward with anger, “Ronan, go to hell!” Saying so, Halle slapped Ronan on his face.
Well, Ronan definitely deserved it! Stupid enough! But he was in the middle of it, and he couldn’t see. That’s really true! Hope this slap could open his eyes to the truth!
It had been six years since she got pregnancy. What did he have done for her? Nothing, except driving her home from the night market, just once.
What gave him the right to meddle in her life?
“Slap”! How ear-splitting it was! This slap happened in the presence of many people. As such a big cheese, Ronan never suffered such “violence”. She zipped her bag open, taking a 100 yuan note out to throw it at him, “Mr. Grant, thank you for driving me home last time, and this is the fare. There is no need to say goodbye. We will never meet again.” Finishing, she held Nylah and Amirah’s hands out of the school room, leaving Jaiden there.
“Halle, wait up.” Jaiden hurried to chase.
Ronan’s face was blanched and livid. Finding the onlookers around were not going to disperse, he lifted Kingsley by the shoulder, “go.”
“It’s sore, uncle. Easy.’ Kingsley felt hurt, shouting with a crying voice.
Ronan’s face turned to all blue. He gave a glimpse to Halle’s back. there came a moment that he really was keen to rush up and tear her into pieces, this ungrateful woman! His good deeds had bad consequences.
“Come on.” With a low roar, he quickly started march of Halle. He need some face time.
“Uncle… Uncle…” Kingsley desperately resisted, but in vain. Ronan lifted him up, then ran to Halle and her two kids.
“Halle, stop.”
Ronan’s voice made Halle a pause, but she then walked to the gate in a greater speed.
“Mommy, come on. Kingsley’s daddy is not a good guy, having a bad boy like Kingsley. We needn’t fear him, and bad guys finish last.”
“Nylah, Amirah, let’s go! Leave them alone.” Jaiden persuaded. To tell the truth, he really disliked Halle and Ronan being together. Halle never mentioned the father of Nylah and Amirah. But he guessed their father be Ronan.
Seeing Halle walking faster, Ronan became bloody livid. Did she dislike him so much? So much that she even refused to give an eye on him.
He reminded that she cheated him as his nominal wife six years ago. Somehow a desire to conquer suddenly soared from his heart. No women ever shrugged him off, but she did. She not only cheated on him, but had babies with another man.
“Kingsley, wait for me by the car. I’ll be there soon.” Seeing Jaiden walking to his own car, Ronan whispered to Kingsley, and then quickly ran towards Halle.
“What are you gonna do, uncle?”
“Stop talking and wait for me there.” With no patience, Ronan was eager to immediately catch that woman into his car, and then tell her off.
“Uncle, your face…” Kingsley whispered to him, but Ronan paid no attention. He focused on Halle. It was strange she was not on the way to Jaiden’s car with her two daughters.
“Click”, someone had him photographed. Frowning, Ronan shouted, “go away.” He often ignored the tabloids, because they could do nothing but embellish, exaggerate and imagine things. So the farther from the tabloid reporters, the better to Ronan. But now, Ronan was too furious to control himself.
“Mr. Grant, how did the ‘Five-Finger Mountain’ on your face form?”
This reporter’s fancy words made Ronan angrier. How did he know the aftereffect of the slap? He directly rushed to and stopped behind her. Regardless of whether Halle was holding the hands of Amirah and Nylah, he grabbed her and lifted her up to his shoulder, heading to the car.
“Uncle Bad, put my mommy down.” Amirah and Nylah shouted together.
“Ronan, are you crazy?” Halle had never seen such a Ronan, in a flash, she became flustered.
“Woman, crazy of you to hit me.”
“It serves you right. You do poke your nose into my things. Let me down, and I don’t want to see you again.” Struggling, she shouted, but Ronan was hardened completely.
He looked crazy.
“Ronan, let go of me.”
“No, get in.”
Halle watched him get to the car and open the door, feeling more flustered. She lowered her head to bite him on the shoulder with full strength. But with a grunt, Ronan put her in the passenger seat. Meanwhile, he pressed the button on the remote and fastened her seat belt. The seat belt was specially designed, only to be unlocked with the key in his hand. He turned to see Nylah and Amirah coming. He smiled and said to the two kids, “my little girls, hop in.”
“No, I don’t want to be in the same car as Kingsley, Uncle Bad, you get my mommy off now.” Finishing, Nylah was trying to open the door. But the door was not open, and even Halle could not open the car door, too.
Ronan was not in a rush now, letting Halle and her daughters try the car. While, he sat in the driving seat at ease, fastening his seat belt and saying, “hop in, otherwise, I’ll drive away with your mother.”
The two looked at each other. Knowing they cannot open the door, they looked again. Then they jumped into his car. With a slam, the car doors on the two sides closed immediately.
“Well, do you two get in my uncle’s car just because he’s rich?” Kingsley sat on the seat with his hands on his hips, with an elated air.
“Uncle? Isn’t he your daddy?”
“No, He’s not my daddy, he often yelled at me.”
Halle heard it clearly, her heart missing a beat. It had been six years that she imagined Kingsley as Ronan’s son. But now she knew it’s not true. Ronan was Kingsley’s uncle, which explained it why Kingsley looked like Ronan. But when she was with Ronan, she never met other family members besides his grandfather.
