“Halle, are you all right?” Milena Fisher was Halle’s good friend. Seeing Halle behaved like this, she can’t help but got worried.
“I’m okay. I went to see my mom. I didn’t know anything about the fifty thousand yuan.” She said angrily. There’s probably no one worse off than her in the world.
“Your mother came to the university last night and couldn’t find you. She called you but no one answered. Then she left. Nobody knew that she came to see Hunter.”
Halle’s head began to buzz. Last night, her phone was turned off, because she really didn’t want to hear Hunter’s voice. Last night, everything was in a mess, and it was a disaster in her life.
It was not the first time for her to go to the Hill family but every time she went there, she felt uncomfortable. She applied for T University just because of her mother’s request. Her mother had been a nanny for four years in the Hill family. In fact, she knew better than anyone what her mother was doing, but she was unable to stop her.
The Hill family was located in the villa area in the center of the city. The house was equipped with a separate courtyard which was full of lavender. When the flowers bloom, a large swath of purple flowers looked so beautiful that she cannot help but appreciated them again and again.
“Welcome, Miss Marshall.” The guard was the same as before, and recognized her at a glance.
“Is my mother there?”
“Yes, she is.” A small door was opened and Halle stepped in.
Halle went straight to the servant’s room. The servant’s room of the Hill family was cleaner and more beautiful than the rented room outside.
In front of the window of the servant’s room stood a small grape trellis and clusters of unripe green grapes hang on the green branches. “Halle, what are you doing here?” A woman asked arrogantly, looking Halle up and down.
She was Issac Hill.
Halle ignored her question and strode over to the door of her mother’s room. But just as she was about to knock on the door, a woman’s low groan came out of the room, which forced her to stop knocking.
“Bitch, your mother came to seduce the master of the Hill family and you came to seduce his son, right?” Issac folded her arms around the chest and looked at Halle with disdain.
“Agnes, thank you for your fifty thousand yuan. Without it, I’m afraid I’ll be bankrupt this month.” Suddenly, Joe Hill’s voice came from the room. Although his voice was low, it sounded very harsh to Halle. It turned out that the fifty thousand yuan was given to Joe.
Halle was furious and said, “Mom, come out of here.” She felt too embarrassed to go in, but that didn’t mean she was afraid to shout out.

Agnes quickly stepped out of the room and closed the door for fear that Halle would see Joe in the room. Agnes took Halle by the hand and walked towards the grape trellis. When she passed by Issac, she couldn’t even say hello to her. She pressed Halle’s shoulders and let her sit on a wooden chair for two under the grape trellis and said in a hurry, “Halle, I have no other choice. I cannot let Joe’s company go wrong and do nothing at all. When I get enough money, I will pay you back at once.”
“Not to give the money back to me, but to Hunter. Mom, how can you cheat Hunter out of his money? Halle was very angry and stood up. Her face flushed with anger.
“Halle, please keep your voice down.”
“How can I keep my voice down? Are you here to work or to be someone’s mistress? Give the money back to me.”
“Wu…” Agnes burst out crying, strings of tears were as clear as crystal. She said, “Halle, I’m just soft-hearted, I can’t watch Mr Hill’s company go bankrupt, just like I couldn’t watch you being bullied in the orphanage…”
As soon as Agnes used this trick, Halle knew that she was defeated. She was indeed a child adopted by Agnes from an orphanage at a cost of twenty thousand yuan. Every time Agnes said this, Halle remembered that she had owed her twenty thousand yuan. Although Halle gave Agnes a lot of money, their relationship cannot be measured by it.
“Mom…” Halle was not as angry as before, and Agnes always knew what her weak spot was.

She kicked the stones as she walked on the road, and suddenly a voice came to her ears. “Halle, is that you?” All of a sudden, there was a man standing quietly in front of her which also blocked the burning sunshine for her. The man was Jaiden Hill.
“Go away.” She didn’t like Jaiden. It was clear that Jaiden always pestered her and called her on the phone, but Issac said that Halle regarded Jaiden as a tool to marry into the Hill family. The Hill family was in its declining years now. Joe even needed to use her mother’s fifty thousand yuan for emergency relief. In the past, five million yuan was not a huge sum of money for him.
Every dog has its day. This is the feeling of falling from the clouds to the mud.
“I’ll pay you back the fifty thousand yuan for my dad, and just give me a few more days, okay?”
“You don’t need to do that.” She strode past Jaiden and didn’t want to have any intersection with anyone from the Hill family. If Agnes was not here, she would not come to this place.
“Halle…” he whispered her name in an apologetic tone.
“See you.” She ran away. She was afraid of such a handsome guy who calls her name and looks at her like that. His eyes were full of affection but she always felt that it was not true. The first time she saw the eyes of Jaiden, she seemed to fall into a dream.
She did not like men to be so gentle and beautiful. The teachers at the orphanage said her father was that kind of man, who was so suave and gentle that a woman would fall in love with at the first sight.
She didn’t like that kind of eyes. Her father’s eyes were so charming, which made him seduced by the other woman. Because of her father’s disloyalty, her mother committed suicide by jumping off a building. Then, out of deep regret, her father also committed suicide and therefore she was sent to the orphanage.
As long as she lived, she could never love a man like her father.
Halle ran so fast, as if the man behind her was a viper or a beast of prey.

There were sudden sounds of the emergency brake and car horn and the violent impact made Halle fell down involuntarily. A stinging pain in her leg made her frown.
