Chapter 46 Crazy Bonnie

Book:The Unexpected Love Published:2024-5-1

Selina was looking for a watch.
But watch cost a lot, and Manfred had a lot of them! She didn’t have much money, so she gave up that idea.
She thought for a while and decided to buy him a tie.
A gray tie with diagonal checks. It looked low-key and elegant. Selina liked it very much, so she called the salesgirl to wrap it up for her.
As soon as she finished speaking, the tie was snatched away, “I’ll take it.”
The person was aggressive. Who else could it be other than Bonnie?
Selina frowned, “I saw it first!”
The salesgirl kindly reminded, “Yeah, this lady beside me saw it first.”
Bonnie said indifferently. “So what? I want it now. Whatever it takes, I’ll give you twice.”
How unreasonable! Selina gritted her teeth. “Miss, our leader won’t agree,” the salesgirl said awkwardly.
“Don’t tell him then. You can take the rest.”
A salesperson could never refuse such a generous guest. She nodded, “Then I’ll wrap it up for you!”
Selina gritted her teeth. She just wanted to buy Manfred a tie. How unlucky!
“Wait!” Selina took out her card, saying, “I’ll triple it!”
“I’ll give you four times!” Bonnie said.
“Five times!”
“Six times!”
No matter what Selina offered, Bonnie added more. The salesgirl’s eyes lit up when they added all the way to ten times.
Selina put away her card and said to the salesgirl, “Sell it to this Miss then.”
The tie had lost its meanings. She didn’t like it any more.
Then she turned around to leave.
Bonnie followed behind, “Don’t go. We haven’t finished!”
Selina paid her no mind. Afraid Bonnie would escape, the salesgirl chased after, shouting, “Miss, you haven’t paid yet!”
There were many people outside. Seeing this, they all gathered to watch. A tie that cost a few thousand now was raised to ten times as expensive.
Bonnie was no idiot, but the salesgirl was so persistent. Bonnie had no way.
Looked like she had to buy it today.
Selina then went to choose another tie, and then she went downstairs.
When she went to the parking lot, she saw Bonnie again. She was driving a sapphire blue sports car, which looked quite expensive.
Seeing Selina’s POLO car, Bonnie sneered. “Looks like Manfred doesn’t treat you well. My nanny drives a better car than you.”
How childish. Ignoring her, Selina opened the car door and got in.
After closing the doors, she felt quite finally!
She started the car and drove forward. But not long after, she saw a blue car approaching from the rearview mirror.
She shook her head, and the image in the mirror got bigger.
Selina’s heart skipped a beat. She saw the car accelerated and rushed towards her.
Shocked, she tried to swing to the side. But with other cars parking around, she couldn’t avoid her.
At last, Selina’s car crashed into a pillar.
“Selina, you won’t be lucky this time.”
Bonnie wanted to do it again.
Some staff heard the noise and rushed over, putting down the fence.
Bonnie had to give up, and she turned around and drove away from another exit.
“Are you OK? Do you need an ambulance?”
Selina shook her head, “I’m fine.”
She had fastened her seat belt. Her knee was bumped by a falling item. Other than that, she was totally fine.
But the car wasn’t that good.
The car front was destroyed, like a toad with its mouth wide open.
Just as her mind was wandering, Manfred called. Selina told him the location and called a tow truck. Then she just waited.
Manfred was quick. As soon as he walked in the parking lot, he saw Selina standing there alone in a strange, dazed way. Her knee was wrapped in a handkerchief. The car couldn’t be worse.
Manfred’s eyes darkened and he quickly got out of the car and pulled her into his embrace.
“What happened?”
Selina relaxed a little. She signed, “I met Bonnie when I was shopping.”
“Bonnie?” Manfred’s brows knitted. “Are you all right?”
“I’m fine.” Selina said. Soon Osborn came. Manfred carried Selina up, leaving all other things to him.
Selina was shocked and she struggled to get down. “I can walk.”
“Don’t move.” Manfred ordered.
Selina had to stay still and let him carry her into the car.
Looking at the handkerchief on her leg and the scar left on her arm, Manfred’s heart ached.
“You always get hurt these days.”
Selina sensed depression in Manfred’s tone.
“What I said last time still counts.” Manfred suddenly said. “You can end this deal at any time.”
Selina shook her head. “I’m fine. It’s just a flesh wound. I’m really fine, Okay? And, oh, I have good news. My plan has passed.”
Manfred still frowned.
Seeing this, Selina took out her hands and smoothed his eyebrows. “Hey! Cheer up! I bought you a present.”
And she suddenly remembered that the present was still in the car. “Shit, I forgot it in the car.”
As soon as she finished speaking, Manfred pulled her into his arms.
It took Selina a while to realize what happened before she reached out and patted Manfred’s back.
“I’m fine, but I’m a little hungry. Can we go home now?”
Manfred nodded and started the car.
After dinner, Manfred helped put medicine on Selina’s knee before he went to the study.
In study, he picked up the phone on the table and dialed a number.
“Don’t buy Long Peace Group now.”
Lawrence was even more shocked than when he heard Manfred say that he wanted to buy Long Peace. “Why? You never give up.”
“I didn’t give up. I have a new plan now.”
“What?”
Manfred’s eyes sank, “To deal with Jayden.”
Lawrence was flabbergasted. “You said you need to achieve something first. Why did you change your plan now?”
Manfred pursed his lips and didn’t say anything.
Lawrence realized something. “Don’ tell me you do it because of Selina. Oh, Manfred, what can I do to you?”
